  1. Hi I'm pretty sure that this has been reported but i can't seem to find it so i Made a post. When i select chinese it does the same thing. It works if i select default cockpit. Thanks take care.
  2. New poll to separate stable and open beta
  3. I use latest Stable.
  4. Very niche and interesting but at the end of the day i think there is so many other aircraft that would be better for DCS. We have a long enough wait as it is for the aircraft we already have in early access to be finished. It's a cool aircraft but it's a no for me.
  5. Welcome Elmo.

    Hornet vs Viper

This was a very hard choice tbh As great as the hornet is and can do everything and carrier ops and is more modern i just fell in love with the viper. It just feels so immersive when i get in the cockpit. It just feels so intuitive, I can't wait till it's finished. So Viper for me!
  7. I personally have A thrustmaster warthog and i have the wingspan and target distance mapped to the 4 way switch under the trim hat. I constantly have my thumb on the 4 way switch and i adjust distance to target as needed as i fly (i do the same with the Axis Aircraft like the BF109 And the FW190's ) As for getting the ground attack bullets on target what i did is practice flying a particular height ,speed and dive angle. That way i know when i get to a particular altitude at a particular speed the bullets will hit in the gunsight on a point on the ground reliably. This is easier said than done. But practice makes perfect and it can be done reliably with practice.
  8. Thrustmaster warthog. I just bought one and i can highly recommend it. Excellent Long term investment.
  9. Hi, The P51 is great fun. It's an easy aircraft to get your head around once you get the engine management right so your not cooking the engine lol. You can try Gyro mode for your gunsight. That way it will give you lead info and you won't be trying to use an estimate or kentucky windage as some call it. It does take practice to get right. Stick with it it will get easier. As for not seeing your rounds hit the ground i don't know what's happening there . Are you Using VR or a monitor? Anyway best of luck keep us posted:thumbup:
  10. This is personally one of my favourite things to do in dcs and i quite often just jump on to do a quick AAR . I find that because i jump from aircraft to aircraft quite often it makes it harder but when i stick with a certain aircraft for a period of time it becomes much easier. I have all the AAR capable aircraft and they all have their personal quirks regarding AAR. I personally find the Hornet the easiest for me. As for the hardest i really couldn't say except i haven't tried the Jeff much probably less than 3 times so it's still new to me and probably my most difficult due to lack of familiarity. I remember when i first got the tomcat i was shocked at how different it felt to refuel and had a bit of a hard time learning it until i figured out to scooch down in my seat with my TRACK IR so i see under the windscreen frame. Then i could see the basket and then it made it so much easier to get a reference point to go off. The Viper and F15 and Warthog wasn't difficult once i learnt to trust the Refueling lights and just relax and fly formation. I suppose the key for me to getting AAR done was to relax and breathe lol. My logbook say's I've done 134 AAR which is much less than I've actually done due to me not remembering to save my logbook when I've reinstalled DCS. Anyway happy flying folks and enjoy those smooth AAR that just go right and feel so satisfying and rewarding when you hook up without dropping out. Cheers:thumbup:
  11. Clickbaited me Opened my Email this morning and seen the title for the dcs newsletter was DCS: A-10C II is here. Got me DCS, Well played. I am glad to see the Mig 21 is getting love which is great. I have not been using it much due to the Radar making the FPS not Flyable. Will Be watching with Non Clickbaited Breath to see how it turns out!
  12. That explains a bit, thank you all.
  13. Hi, I was wondering will the MFD'S be colour like some of the photos of the real thing I've seen? In the videos i have seen so far your Kiowa the MFD'S are black and white. Just Curious Thanks.
  14. My thoughts are just be patient and wait for them to come to stable.I know it's hard I'm on stable and want to play the Raven campaign and fly the syria map but Open beta has problems and it always will that's the nature of open beta. It will be flyable and then a patch will drop and it may or may not end up broken. But bugs will always come with a patch just the severity differs. That can be very frustrating especially if you are doing a campaign or you are into multiplayer missions with friends and all of a sudden your multiplayer missions no longer work and you just can't fly them. If your ok with the bugs and maybe not being able to play until a fix comes out then go for it open beta will have all your modules on it so that's no worries . But be very careful to save any files you need especially joystick and keybind profiles you have as well as logbook and settings etc. Because losing them would suck especially if you have to rebind all your aircraft ( i have a lot of aircraft and have forgot to save my keybinds and had to do them all over again and that is frustrating ) You can find guides on how to change between versions and what you need to save etc on the forums. In a perfect world and we all had heaps of drive space then just install both so you have the best of both worlds. Anyway i hope this helps . Best of luck Cheers.
  15. A movable , resizable chat window would be great for immersion. Maybe put this in the wish list section ,fingers crossed it happens. Great idea BTW.
