  1. Its the same B17, I do not use the available guns or bomb drops because I prefer to keep the WWII bombers in formation when attacked. I use scripting instead to simulate the bomb drops and also the bomber defenses. We are finding out we need to tweak the flak and bomber defenses as it seems the explosions from them are being amplified by the number of players in the server. Causing them to be way more effective than intended.

  7. H'lo all, Thanks for your interest in the campaign. For some tentative times to try and narrow it down, How about 18:00 UTC for Campaign #2 - Euro friendly? And also, which is better, Saturday or Sunday. Time can wiggle either way a couple hours.
  8. Yep, familiar with that Markindel, thanks. Crazyeddie, Your TGA files looked the same on my system, but I was able to convert your BMP files to DDS with mipmaps, put them in place, edited the description.lua and all is well now. Is it possible the TGA files were saved with a different option that would cause the difference between the 2 sets of TGA files? MIP MAP or similar options?
  9. Regarding the HE111 skins, when I open up the standard1 skins (all tga files), they are all blank (Gimp shows grey/black checkerboard). When I open the Standard2 skins, I can see the paint job. I then went into the texture file and found many of the TGA files were blank. I have redownloaded the mod and found the same issues. Trying to convert the tga file ends up with a blank DDS file. If someone has good Standard1 skin (tga or dds files show the same for Standard1 and standard2), please share it with me and any others experiencing the same issues. Thank you

  11. I was watching for that sort of thing, but no, it just disappears where the other skin is still plainly in sight.
  12. I use max settings as well. But I am seeing a definite difference in range visibility all due to which skin is on the He111, Standard1 is disappearing at a medium range, unlike the standard2 skin or any other of the mods they have done. I will re-download the mod, though unlikely, maybe the skin got corrupted or something.
  13. Weird, I had 10 of them up, 5 of each. the 5 Standard 1 skins definatly disappeared off my screen while the others where fine.
  14. I fully understand and appreciate very much the work you all put into these things. If someone could look into the differences from the standard 1 and standard 2 skin (Standard 2 skin works), will find out why the standard 1 skin disappears way too early.
  15. Ok, the He111 disappearing problem is linked to the Standard 1 skin. The Standard 2 skin does not have the problem, infact, blends nicely all the way out to the small imposters I use. Have the Germans developed light absorption paint?? HMMmmmmmm :lol:
  16. Decent model, but seems to be an issue with the LOD models or something, at a medium range they simply disappear from view unlike any of the other models you guys have worked on. Will investigate this further myself to get further details and see if I can help offer a solution. Thanks for all the great work you guys put into these, just an example of how easy some small factor can slip by.
  17. Axis is still looking to beef up their numbers. If you are able to fly the 109 or 190 on version 1.5.4 (hopefully pushed to live/stable soon) at 10PM eastern, would love to see you there. 2 missions are flown that are scheduled to take about 3-3.5 hours total every Saturday till one side is no longer able to fight back. If unable to fly on that schedule, I am willing to start up another campaign, just need to get 2 teams together.   19. Axis & Allies DCS World Style! Week 1 Status Report Tensions between the Axis (Nalchik) and Allies (Mozdok) finally boiled over today and they have gone to war! The Allies sent in two waves of bombers to the Axis industrial center. Axis fighters were able to repel some of the first wave, even shooting one down, but some still were able to drop their bombs. The 2nd wave of bombers faired much better and between the two, succeeded in doing some decent damage to the Axis industrial center. Allied fighters also commenced a rocket attack on some facilities and aircraft at Nalchik airbase. Several of the fighters were shot down by base defenses, but not before they were able to do some light damage to the field. The Axis sent in a large group of bombers to attack the enemy airfield at Mozdok. Allied fighters and flak diverted a couple, but the main group was able to push through and deliver a devastating attack. A majority of the facilities at the base have been demolished, severely hampering the Allies ability to repair their aircraft. Also, the Axis fighters were able to shoot down several of the Allied fighters in the process. To add insult to injury, two Axis bombers performed a low level sneak attack on the Allied industrial center. Only light damage was done, but it capped off a very effective attack by the Axis units. Flak units from both sides ruled the day as not a single bomber returned to base without some kind of hole in it. The maintenance crews for both sides will be very busy to get them back in the air for the coming weeks.   21. Agreed, hope they push this version live! Crash during bombing buildings fixed - confirmed fix through my testing. Can push forward with my WWII campaign again. Thank you!
  22. We plan to start this at 10PM Eastern. You can meet with me on the Virtual Aerobatics Teamspeak server (ts3.virtual-aerobatics.com) ahead of time and I can get you the mods and details of the event to you. Again, we will be on the 1.5.4 version, the exact one depends on todays(Friday - July 01) release, if any.
  23. We will be pushing on with the start of the campaign this Saturday with version 1.5.4 whether it gets pushed to stable version or not. We will hope they do and that they have the bug squashed, if not, an alternate mission plan will be used to avoid the bug.
  24. Yes for the choppers, and looks like WIP for the a/c since there is a grass field object in the ME. Looks like we are finding out why its not fully implemented yet.
