  3. Its a work in progress, not fully implemented yet. Eventually mods will be able to be made "official" or however you want to term it and be allowed on servers and clients connecting will need to have those same mods. We just need to be patient.
  4. Yeah, its the destruction of the object, not the weapon itself.
  5. Not completly ready yet, AI still explode immediatly, cant set uncontrolled without further edits of some kind. The client A/C work great though.
  6. The new netcode in 1.5.4 seems to fix a lot of the server issues. Just have to wait a little bit longer if you do not have the beta install.
  7. yeah, fully understood. The .48 setting got me to 30k feet which will match what I am looking for, The B17 had to hold 250 knots TS to do so. For my campaign I have speed restrictions in place for lower altitudes to keep it closer to realistic numbers. This will work for now until we get better options.
  8. I have changed just the Mach number and seen the top speed of the a/c change, so it is doing something. Easy fix is to just bump it up so that it can fly at realistic altitudes. I was using a mach number of .42 and it was just barely able to hold alt at 25 k feet. I think I will bump it up to .48 and see how it does at 30k feet.
  9. Regarding the bombers and their airspeeds. I know the mach number was pulled down to realistic values. But in my experience setting these up in formations at high altitudes, the real numbers are not working for some reason. For example, the B17 model with realistic mach number can not hold 30k ft at 230 knots (TS). My testing has shown it needs more like 245-250 knots (TS) at that altitude to hold. and then the wingmen need an extra buffer of like 10 knots to be able to maintain formation. The easy fix is to just bump the mach number back up to allow them that speed at that altitude, either that or other flight model data needs to be adjusted so they can fly the slower speed at that high alt.

  12. Undetermined at this time. We could fall back to 1.5.3 and it will work. Or could change the location of the resources, but would lose immersion factor. Hopefully it's something simple enough for them to fix, issue is whether it is high enough on the priority list to get fixed. Would hope a game crashing bug due to something exploding in a combat sim would warrant a quick response. Will have to wait and see.

  14. Well, we were going to give this a shot using 1.5.4 but ran into a major bug that causes DCS to crash. Too many have updated to 1.5.4 and unable to revert back to 1.5.3 in time so the campaign will have to be postponed.   16. Have a mission where carpet bombing a city. Was working fine in 1.5.3. In 1.5.4 it crashes to desktop practically every time. I think its linked to a specific building in that city if it gets hit or not. I have been able to reproduce the crash in the following mission and have attached the dump files.   17. Its the same system, or at least appears to be, the same as on the 2.0 alpha build which has been out awhile. Here is where it was discussed previously for the IC in 2.0: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=164917 Has it changed that much since then? I don't think so.....
  18. From my experience, its just a temporary block to server until you meet the IC criteria. All mods will be blocked by IC until they implement the system to make a mod "official" with its own IC registered files.
  19. Get 2 teams interested in trying this out and we can schedule a separate run. Initial testing has shown it to be fun with as few as 4 per side and for server load issues, up to 8 per side (flying).
  20. There is, use the ' key, but the problem is, the longer the person is on, the more DCS averages that ping. So you will not see spikes or irregular activity problems. Need to use an external program to track actual pings on the server.

  22. We will be trying to get the 1st full blown test run of my campaign idea underway this Saturday (June 25th 2016). We are still looking for a few more Axis pilots that can fit into the current schedule of flying every Saturday (or as much as possible) at 10PM Eastern on a US based server. If you are handy in a 109 or 190 and can fly at those hours, please, come join us for some team based flying in a fully dynamic air campaign. 2 missions will be flown that are scheduled to take about 1-1.5 hours each every Saturday. If you are interested, or just want more info, please reply here with your preferred ride (109 or 190) and we will get you setup to participate in what should truly be a great time. There will be 2 missions so if there is more then 8 per side, they can swap off from 1 mission to the next.
  23. DCS acting as a server pushes more data out then it receives so having a good steady upstream is more important. 10Mbps up should allow you to host like 15-20 fairly comfortably.
  24. Can't compare to a previous time, but we have been using small imposters to greater effect then with this current mod. In comparison to small imposter setting, it seems your imposters disappear sooner then the stock ones. Maybe because they are larger then small imposters? Not sure the reason, but everyone I recommended the mod to has stopped using it because of the issue.
  25. I am seeing this too, right after I was recommending this to friends. They all were experiencing the same problem as well. Seems to be right at the point where it transitions from LOD's to imposters or back.
