  2. Not a criticism, just a question - when is this likely to be fixed for our clients? Its a little annoying - again, not a criticism of your efforts
  3. Hi all, just got the Mirage today On T/O it seems like the Mirage doesn't want to rotate? I'll pull back at about 140kts and the nose will rise very slightly before the jet leaps into the air. It seems very different to the long rotates I have seen in videos
  4. Some fun on the VA Server, many thanks to Gooner for the great formation flying
  5. Announcements? Today? What??
  6. Some cursory googling suggests that the camouflage here is Swedish splinter.... Cobra you absolute tease :music_whistling:
  7. However if anyone were to do it, it would be the Swedes or the Danes

    +1
  10. I don't agree with this, I think the stereotypical 'Call of Duty' crowd would be driven away by the concept of DCS. The pull for me in DCS is the concept of getting as close as possible to flying incredible aircraft which a poor student pilot like me can only dream of doing otherwise. The F-14 - an aviation icon I might add - is probably the epitome of what most pilots think of as a "fighter" due to Top Gun. So no wonder that people are chomping at the bit to get their hands on it, I think actually its a testimony to what the MiG-21 did for Leatherneck that a few mere renders of a Tomcat sent us into meltdown. In terms of the DCS crowd being impatient I would agree, however I would also argue that we have a reason to be so impatient. I for one originally started on FS2004 and then FSX and spent a genuinely concerning amount of money trying to get the most accurate flight simulation possible. Now fast forward a few years and FSX is uninstalled and the licence keys long buried in emails and DCS is my sole flight sim. A-10C was a revelation for the flight sim community, as was MiG-21 and I'm sure F-14 will be too, so I think its very fair for us to be impatient (while courteous to devs of course, and some do cross that line once in a while). Just my two cents...

Good lord, that looks fantastic
  12. Buddy refuelling in MP? Now that sounds good
  13. Another Bucc lover! My Grandfather was one of the chief electronic offices on HMS Hermes and knew the Bucc extremely well before going off to work with Ferranti. I'm currently reading through Buccaneer Boys, a fantastic read if you have the time
  14. Bit of an outlier here, but personally I think the E is the best looking of the lot
  15. Forgive my ignorance if this is a simple mistake, but on cold starting the MiG I am unable to get the ailerons to move, even though the stick in game reflects my X-52's movements, any help guys?
  16. As a Brit it would be treason to not go for something like; -Harrier Gr.5/7/9 -Tornado Gr.1/4 -Jaguar Gr.3/3a Or, for the sheer thrill of it, Lightning F.6
  17. Lonewolf checking in, callsign "Rammit" and preferred aircraft F-15C, A-10C or the MiG-21 on the Blue side if available Many thanks
  18. It seems after a refuel that the aircraft feels a lot heavier and often the tires burst on takeoff, but reload the mission with the same fuel weight (just a fresh a/c) and it feels normal again This has been persistent for a number of updates now
  19. So this baby was landed with no flaps or ailerons, bearing in mind it suffered a catastrophic failure as soon as the wheels left the ground, I managed to fly a circuit on the rudder and elevators alone. The gear wasn't coming up, so it was virtually all on full burner, and I gotta say, I'm pretty proud of the result! :smartass:
  20. Thank you!
  21. I think as we near that day of days a little word of thanks is in order. Its been a turbulent time for all involved, a lot of tears have been shed, both of joy and despair, but what you have done is now the par. It will be the comparison, the baseline, and I'm not just talking about the -21 here. We, as the community, are a harsh bunch on the whole but you've endured and have come out better than ever. Bravo LN. So Leatherneck, hear this; Thank you
