I'd like to make a video how I fly Su-27 but I don't know which program is the best to use. I've Fraps installed but it records videos to 20 secounds only and to change it, I would have to pay over 30$. Any idea? To be honest, I see that everything is fine when I'm focused on thing I'm just doing. Can you explain me how auto-pilot excatly works? I only use these commends : Alt + 1 H Alt + 9 But I see there're also other combinations but I don't have enough knowledge to understand what they mean.

I saw this video once and I was wondering how it's possible this plane looks to be really stayable. I haven't know it's yours. So you've got 2-3 deadzone and +20 curves. I'll check it once again.

Good to know it but it seems to me that now all Su-27 have fly-by-wire. Once I read something about it.

I think I know the answer but tell me if I'm not right. I had many problems to fly Su-27 and I also used not to use trimming ( I was using 'trim reset' any time and I didn't know how to even use it ). My problems ended partly when I switched off Force Feedback ( I hope you mean Force Feedback when you wrote 'FF' ). I also changed deadzone and curves, and it was even playable but still got some problems like turning backs, etc. I was wondering for a long time what's wrong with that. I wrote what FF excatly is. I turned it on and the plane was harder to playable, I had to change joystick's settings but - guess what - it made this game more realistic. Ironhand helped me a lot and he explained me how to use trimming. Now I must admit it looks completly different than some time ago. My settings : deadzone - 10 curves - 25 - 30 Some people wrote that they'd other settings but I checked it and I prefer mine. It depends on joystick in my opinion. I've got Logitech Attack 3. Sorry for my English. I won't even wonder if it is incomprehensible.

Thanks for help man. I mean that I approached at 320 km/hr and I damaged gears but it was when gears touched the ground and it was because of the fact that the nose was too high. I saw one video on you tube from real Su-27. They usually give the gears down even at 420 km/hr.

I've got Logitech Attack 3 and I set dead zone on 10 and curve around 25. I checked what you'd written before. I began to trim the nose down and it works well but I've got a few questions to you about it. What's more, it solved my problem with using auto pilot. - when your airspeed is about 1000 kph, how many times you press the button which is responsible for trimming nose down and how HUD should look like ( I mean degrees )? - if I use trimming properly, how many degrees should be on HUD ( less than 0 / more than 0 / just 0 )? - if you use trimming, you still hold the joystick or you don't ? - let's suppose that the air speed is about 1100 kph ( without afternurning ) and the plane is trimmed well and suppose that I begin to go to the top suddenly ( my plane becomes to be slower - let's say 600 kph ) - do you trim the nose up at this moment or do nothing ? I'm asking about it because I did something like this a few times, I had still nose trimmed down, so I did nothing and my plane starts to fall instantly and that made my plane lay on its back and it was outta control. I checked trimming nose up - you wrote I should use it during landing. Well, I'm not sure if it's safety. I approached with 320 kph and I damaged gears. I imply to use 'trim reset' after set the gears and flaps down. Tell me if something's incomprehensible.

Ok, thanks for these words. It's good to know it. I understood that before taking off, I should use 'trimming down' about 4-5 times and after taking off, I should use it again while the speed will be increasing. I'll check it. What should I do during constant air speed? Please, tell me what AoA means. Now I have to check it and see how it works. Would you be able to tell me what 'trim reset' ( yeah, I know it'll probably reset... :D ) and 'stick to trimmer control mod' mean and how to use them? I used to play LOFC2 with VNAO mod. There was Super Hornet. I had problems with trimming but using 'trim reset' seemed to be good way. Now, I see that it looks completly different in DCS FC3. I've never known how to do it in Su-27, so usually before take off I use 'stick to trimmer control mod' and later use 'trim reset' many times if only the air speed changed a little bit. I wondered how to do it well because flying for point A to B was too hard for me without autopilot - I couldn't stand holding joystick trough over 2 hours. Btw, I don't understand how autopilot in Su-27 works. I usually use Alt+1 at first, after that I use 'H' and it usually works fine. I use Alt+9 for turn it off. I don't know if you've ever noticed it but sometimes after switching autopilot on, the plane goes higher and higher ( 100 m to a few kilometers ) and starts to fall instantly. Can you tell me what your joystick' settings for Su-27 looks like?

Ok, so what's the best way to trim this plane right? How to do it? I usually use 'reset trim' and 'stick to trimmer control mod' but I'm not even sure if I do it well.

It's true, just practice. I think the easiest way to learn how to land properly is flying on Su-27 because its HUD seems to be cleaner. The most difficult thing is landing on carrier at night.

1) I don't see anything special here. To move the plane you have to add more power but after that you have reduce it because the plane will accelerate. It's like in car. If you still have the gas pedal pressed, the car will be still accelerating. If you accelerate the car you have to give more power at the beginning but after that you have to reduce it to keep constant speed, right? 2) You have to use trimming ( alt + t or ctrl + t ) It's not that difficult. You have to pay attention if you begin to fall the nose because if you do it too fast, you'll lose control. 3) After using auto-pilot I usually trim the plane, after that I press ALT+1 ( you set the altitude but your plane can fly higher ) and then I use H. It's important to hold joystick until you notice that plane flies at the same level ). If you want to control the plane you have to switch off the auto-pilot by using ALT+9 combination. 4) The tires blowing easly. You have to make a good landing and after that use P button to open parachute. That's how russians plane're landing. One thing here : you have to choose an airport where you can make refueling, etc. If parachute was used, you should have to ask Ground Crew about 'refueling and rearming'. After that parachute will be able to use once again. And never use 'S' button during flight with Su-27. Every move of joystick will cause doing 'cobra manoeuvre'.

We need plane with both A/A and A/G capabilites.

I don't understand one thing here. In the video, you can see that Su-30SM can fight with other planes and attack ground targets. In that russian site there were two different links to download. First - Su-30M ( it can attack ground targets but using R-73, R-27 and R-77 is impossible ), 2nd - Su-30SM ( it can take a/a weapons, a/g not ). Someone asked about Su-27 PFM. What's this?
-
Me too. I hope it'll be done.

I don't what you excatly mean but if you want to use additional fueltanks which F-15C can take, you should choose them in 'mission editor'. They should be filled up at once but if not, you can ask Ground Crew about fuel ( engines must be turned off ). You shouldn't notice any difference in 'clock' ( device which showing the amount of fuel ) if you've got additional fueltanks. However, the pointer won't move until the fuel from fueltanks is not burned.

Hi. I've created one profile with a pilot who's gained many medals, etc. He died during landing. Is there any chance to edit something and make that the numer of deaths will be zero?

Flyable Su-30 with Su-27 6DOF cockpit
Valium replied to Evilducky's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Man, have you noticed that I added the same link on my post? I need something like was here - SEAD possibility, A/A and A/G missions. There're 2 Su-30, one is SM, the other one M. One can take A/G equipment but you can't use A/A missiles and in other one you can only use A/A missiles. -
Flyable Su-30 with Su-27 6DOF cockpit

I lost myself. Can you : - tell me how to do it step by step ? - tell me which files I'll need ? - refresh the link on the 1st site because it's locked? I've got DCS and FC3, Here I found Su-30 model with thrust vectoring engines : http://wings-of-russia.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=10370&sid=87eaead05b96dc71beac7ccbc2987a87 -
Yes, that's it! Huge thanks man!
-
Hey. Do you know this? It seems someone created Su-30SM for DCS!
-
Nope. ED has working on F/A-18C but Coretex was working on F/A-18E Super Hornet. Anyway, Coretex's project is on hold.

Don't forget about EF-2000 of VEAO. They're trying to make it as fast as they can.

This Mirage looks to be really simple in use. It's good because I've never flown the plane with clickable cockpit.
