  1. Well, it would be a really bad PR if they change it now. Why can't you people just be happy that they're willing to give three combat planes for free? Besides, there will be plenty of planes for people to buy later, gotta draw the crowd in somehow.
  2. I understand and partially agree with your point. We the backers are getting the short stick here. But we're doing out of our own accord, we're not being forced to do it. :) And I'm gladly giving my 40$ away if that means that they will reach their goal and finish this product. And when the game will come out, those 40$ will mean nothing when I'll be able to play DCS level WW2 sim with my squad mates. Even if some of them didn't or couldn't support the kickstarter or buy the game, we'll still be able to play it together.
  3. Three iconic combat planes from three different countries will attract more players than just one obscure trainer plane. If this brings more attention to DCS series and flight sims in general, it's gonna be well worth it.
  4. I understood it like this, even if they don't hit their stretch goals other planes will still be made, they just won't be out on the release day (like they would be if they do hit stretch goals) but will come after some time. RRG will be selling those. Also, I think that a free to play model is the best thing that happend to flight sims in a long while. It will surely help bring more people to this genre.
  5. +1 At least a tiny island or small, undetailed part of British coast with an airfield would be good for pre-invasion scenarios. Otherwise we can only do post D-Day missions and that limits the number of possible scenarios.
  6. Can't say I'm suprised, there have been no updates at all for a long time now. But still very sad to see it go. :(
  7. Ok, the biggest Il-2 modding site is covered, they got the news. I also have one question; If I pledge 40$ and the kickstarter only reaches 100,000$ that means that there will be no more flyable planes after basic release that we would get otherwise, and therefore I don't get any extra planes at all?
  8. I think it's a great way to reduce game size and therefore load times. DCS World for modern stuff and DCS WW2 for older stuff. The games will need to use different maps, objects, vehicles, planes etc..
  9. FC level cockpits only require some customhuman.lua editing to work. I thought that A-10C cockpit would need to use the same editing you do to make Ka-50 cockpit work in other helicopters.
  10. Would you be willing to try?
  11. Would it be possible to make such a mod for planes, using the A-10C cockpit?
  12. Yeah, we understand that it's a gargantuan task and we know that it's going to be an amazing module when they deliver it. But this still slightly ruined our day.
  13. Is this a very bad attempt at trolling or did somebody hack Wags's account? :D
  14. Woah, that looks awesome. Is it already possible to get that cockpit?
  15. Glad to see that they're still working on the project after the failed Kickstarter.
  16. That's a great suprise update.
  17. Is there a rough estimate of the release date?
  18. F/A-18C. New maps would surely be nice, but since we only have one simulated plane at the moment, it would quickly become just as repetitive as flying over Georgia all the time. DCS needs more planes. :)
  19. Hello. Can anybody explain me how to get ships to fire missiles at ground targets? I tried the attack point, but it doesn't seem to be working.
  20. Nice progress. Thanks for doing this.
  21. Wags, will you at least keep the weekly updates? IMHO, these updates are the best thing that happend to DCS in quite some time.
  22. Is there any possibility that the new map tools be available to public?
  23. It looks excellent in-game. Thanks for the regular updates.
  24. Marvelous. Clickable, free, DCS World fighter. Can't get much better than that. Good luck guys.
  25. That's amazing. Will it be dependent on FC3? Great work so far. :)
