  1. Thanks, will try and report back.
  2. Congrats man. :)
  3. Thanks for advice, will give it a try.
  4. Could you please provide more details? I also had to rely on VPN to host games and now I can't do it anymore.
  5. Same problem here. Can't host DCS anymore since they removed LAN function in 1.2.6. Never could host without it. Server is set to public, everybody has the latest version and they can see the server but they get "can't connect" messege. I am behind a Mil-Sm801G switch, so ports aren't the problem. I even tried using router and opening the 10308 port but it didn't solve anything. What other data do you need?
  6. It happens under all conditions and in all missions, tried pretty much everything from SAS sites to Shilkas. Re-installing the game didn't help either.
  7. Hello. I am encountering a strange problem, whenever I am using ELINT I can't lock enemy radars, the diamond icon for radars on the HUD is flashing and isn't solid like it's supposed to be and because of that I am unable to lock the target.

    DCS F-35?

Well, you could always just not place it into a mission meant for player vs player combat, or from any other online mission that you'd want for that matter. Anyways, gonna get flamed for saying this but still... Any new jet plane for DCS series is great and needed very badly at this point. Doesn't matter if it's on level of FC, DCS or something in between. I'd rather buy F-35 with a lot of guess work in it and some features or systems missing than buy the 5th release of Su-25, A-10 and F-15. You know, because we've been flying the same fixed wing planes (with the exception of P-51) since 2003.
  9. Thanks for the heads up. We're looking forward to this one. :)
  10. +1 We've been flying the same set of planes for 10 years now. Something different with more than one role, please.
  11. Wasn't there some talk about DCS WW2 backers getting the map making tools?
  12. I agree with your points. If they would have a free game with a trainer, that would most likely make them pay for real combat planes. But then the question is, how many casuals would even try it out if they already knew that they would only get a WW1 like biplane and not a cool combat plane that can blow stuff up? :) Or how many would just skip the trainer altogether? When I first tried Il-2, 10 years ago, the first thing I did was take my favorite plane for a spin against enemy fighters. I failed miserably, but that excited me and gave me motivation to learn and master it. I doubt I'd be so excited if I'd be stuck with a Po-2 on a three month learning session.
  13. And what makes you think that only cadets will play the free DCS WW2? I'm pretty sure that most rookies would prefer a combat plane since it would actually allow them to go in the multiplayer, it's a Free to Play sim and not Free to Train. :P And don't forget that they can always simplify the game settings at start. And Ilya was talking a lot about making the learning curve more fun and rewarding for newcomers, so that defeats the purpose of a trainer plane if we'll have more user friendly tutorials.
  14. Although I disagreed at first, three free DCS level planes at release is too much. You're gonna need sales to get the whole DCS WW2 ball rolling. You can worry about releasing more free planes/theatres after that. For a start, flight simulation community needs a great base game that will have offical support by it's creators.
  15. Thanks for the clarification. And we the $40 backers get all three of them plus any extra ones on the release?
  16. Can somebody please explain this to me?
  17. So, $40 pledge gives you the free starter plane plus Spitfire and Bf-109? But so does the $1 pledge? Wait, what?
  18. Ok, just want to confirm one thing. Those of us that already pledged $40 are still getting P-47, Spifire, Bf-109, Fw-190 and Mustang?
  19. +1 This will get RRG a lot of bad reputation, which is especially bad since they have a very capable competition, that has already showed a lot more so far. Plus the whole CloD fiasco... Well, it's their choice to make in the end and as long as my $40 pledge still gets me all the planes on the release...
  20. Same problem here.
  21. A free trainer plane wouldn't attract nowhere near the amount of players that a free combat plane would. They made the right, albeit long term, choice.
  22. Yes, you're probably right. Our machines might not handle this engine to the fullest right now, but DCS will be here for years to come and our hardware will just keep on getting better exponentially.
  23. Even if we don't get this particular map, we can at least see what the new engine can do. Computers will be melted.
  24. Thanks for the answers. I was a little bit worried because their sub-forum is gone and thought they're the second developer team that cancelled their modules. Glad to hear they're still around. :)
  25. Is Iris even still actively working on DCS?
