Yes, that seems to be the problem, but still, is only broken in the Hornet, not on other airframes that can also display maps in their cockpits. Mission editor is fine too, you can see the map at any scale. Could be a map issue, but it only manifests on the F-18 for some reason. As far as I know, only happens on Syria and Marianas, (which is an ED map, that´s why it seems so strange to me). I also don´t understand the completely lack of priority with this bug, when less important others are fixed in weeks. I know is not a main issue, but it will be really nice to see it sorted out. I have done it, several times (and many others), and you always say the same, but the bug is still there. 4 YEARS, and you haven´t even attempted to fix an error that prevents the basic use of an instrument on one of your main modules, how is that caring? You surely do for many things, but not for this one, I don´t understand, it seem like the easiest of fixes to do related with maps scale. No I wont DM, cause the last time I did the same and there was no answer for weeks. So I do it here: From 2021: Please, don´t say is reported (again), to do nothing about it for years.

The map MFD has been broken for... 4 years now? They just don´t care.

It´s not free, its a free visual update of the FC Su-25 I wish it comes soon, love that aircraft, and it needed some love.

Those Tigrs are great to place in certain positions and illuminate or mark things, but they dont work anymore. In fact, no ground vehicle cast any light right now. Is that a bug?? Cause I hope so, so it gets fixed eventually.

Yes, most of that is cosmetics, all those things you said (like not be able to see through clouds and fog)are present in almost every game ever that have those thigns in them. Clouds do nothing, fog does nothing, rain and snow do nothing, temperatures do nothing. Only affects some system capacities, and thats it. It doesnt even change through time, which is one of the most basic things wheather does. Even some racing games have more features related to weather conditions.

These things had been happening since the multithreading were released and never been fixed The only thing that works for me is to turn the affinity of the 100% core OFF, and the ON again, and all cores stabilize at 80% or so and stuttering mostly goes away. But you have to do it everytime you jump into an new aircraft.

Well, what the tittle says, ED showed us this kind of clouds like 3 years ago, and since then not a word, and clouds are mostly the same since they came out in 2021. Are they still in the works, will they come anytime soon? They look very cool and thats something basic to simulate real weather conditions, weather right now is so limited and simple, beautiful to look at, but thats it.

I guess is all lack of human resources, and also that it is a very low priority item for ED. But its true that many units are ridiculous low fidelity 3D models. Personally, I think some of them will never be updated.

Seen the same. Smoke looks ok when you are inside the fog, but if you watch it from outside, it looks unaffected by it.

Its incredible how ED let third party campaings (and many more things, even modules like the Kiowa) being broken for a month, not even releasing a quick hot fix, it doesn´t generate much trust on the buyer.

No, its the new DCS version that made all Syrian campaings unsuable. It is fixed by the creators but for some reason ED don´t want to release a hotfix, and let the product be broken for 3 weeks straight.
