You're not supposed to use NVGs nor landing lights in CASE III conditions, unless commanded by the LSO.

I agree with the fact that different pilots have different tolerances. However, a Viper pilot should be able to pull 9Gs for quite some time, they're required to. Even the current g-limit lacks difference in tolerance that you mention, it has a "hard deck" of 7.8Gs (approx.)
-
Well, yes, but they're not doing anti-G straining. So of course they're going to have a low tolerance. I would hope that our DCS pilot is doing anti-g strain maneuvers :music_whistling:

I think that a more advanced G-modelling system would be nice, like the other WW2 sim just implemented. But IMO there should be a stop-gap solution of just increasing the G-level at which one starts to experience blackout. Then later down the line, we might see a more advanced system with fatigue, and difference in sustained and sudden onset of Gs.
-
I believe Jello from FPP said that the G-tolerance in DCS reminded him of having an "off day." So I'm not stating that it's impossible to have such G-tolerance, but it's probably uncommon amongst fighter pilots that train for this.
-
G-warmups helps with sudden G-onset, but the limit is still at 7.8Gs. Perfect for the F-18 and Su-27, but too low for F-16 or MiG-29. I'm not asking for something unrealistic, and I understand that G-LOC is a real, dangerous thing.
-
Hi, I know this has been requested before, but I want to put some emphasis on it. Currently, one experiences G-LOC at 7.8Gs. I know that there are plans to revamp the whole system, but just a temporary fix to raise it from 7.8 to 8.8Gs would do so much. Currently the rate fighters (F-16, MiG-29) are pretty unusable in a dogfight because you if you try to outrate someone, you just G-LOC. Looking at the best dogfighters in DCS, wether it be on the servers or the Twitch events, they all use either F-18 or M2000C almost exclusively.
-
Early G-LOC is the main problem in BFM for DCS right now IMO.

1+ this would be such a simple fix instead of having to supersample/have a higher resolution in VR. Would make text easier to read without being much of a FPS impact.

Hi! I don't post here often, so apologies if this wish has already been submitted. I, like many others, often play DCS in VR. The new audio option for splitting audio to external speakers and headset is awesome for this! I also have a 5.1 surround system, and when turning around your head, the sound changes in the stereo picture as if you were wearing a headset. Now, I wish for a setting that makes the sound "static" (while in the cockpit,) so that regardless of where you are looking, the sound is the same. This would make a huge immersion difference, especially in the warbirds. Thanks, and keep up the good work guys!

+1 I think the entire atmosphere/lighting could use a rework, some things like color/contrast seem off.

Wags/ED recommended Warthog stick settings?

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that the default curves are pretty accurate. I've got a WH, and it feels perfect without changing anything. -
I've been having the same problems on BlueFlag. Tried manual IFF interrogation but HAFU remains uknown. Unable to IFF through SA page as well.

I think all pilots would be expected to know all tasks that their airframe is capable of, but often you have instructors that have expertise for one specific task. At least in the Navy TOPGUN environment, you would have one person from the airwing to be sent to TOPGUN, learn as much as he/she can, and then come back to the wing and pass on what he/she learned.

Keep getting my ass handed to me in the first mission of the mini campaign

Come in low and target the 29's first. Crank to maintain distance as long as possible. Disengage to build distance. The Su-24s have heaters, so don't get too close. -
I have noticed the same, mostly on multiplayer. I found that my RAM was pushed absolutely to the limit, and by a single F10 or F2 click will cause an CTD.

He was not being hostile.

So this is not really a feature request, but more a "polish" request..? I think. Basically, I wish the B-sweep line could be smoother. Right now it looks like its low fps, or something. Im running in the high 80s, so its not my monitor. This is just something I would enjoy. Really enjoying the capabilities of the radar, can't wait for LTWS and more!

Depends on if it's Case I or Case III. For Case I, I set it to BRC. If it's Case III, I might set it to BRC minus 9 degrees while waiting for the ICLS to align.

I'm going with 387! Trying to convert my friend frow War Thunder to DCS ! :D

I also like free stuff. -
Are there any plans to implement multiple audio outputs? For example, you could put all effects on your speakers, while all radio comms and warnings are coming to your headset.

Time to get an SSD, I guess.
