  1. I agree with Frostie here, but I am sad that F18 will not come this year (read between the lines). Also, why isn't anyone responding to asks about SEAD missiles..... -.- EDIT: What is the point of testers when this kind of stuff gets released? With no explanation? To have flashy "Tester" tag on forum?! As far as I can see - our only hope is 3rd party modules for now. But - how good can they work if they fail to set things straight and stable even in 1.2.5. I am getting tired of waiting. Thinking about reverting to IL2 for Christ Sake...... -.-

  3. How about fixing SEAD missiles? This week would be fair. I mean...people cry their guts out in forums, and not a word in response?
  4. Works like a charm! Even if you don't get errors, but game just doesn't update (it's hidden 404). Thank you. Note: If it fails saying "Interrupted by User" or something like that - just repeat the process.
  5. Imagine yourself sitting in cockpit. You don't see what they're doing behind down there :D Now, crew must tell when they finish loading weapons, plane checkup and all the other preflight activities. Maybe ATC giving permission is a compromise, and it's done by ground crew commander or marshall.
  6. Hands full or not - good ATC makes a flying simulator, lack of it makes it look less serious. Sad but true.
  7. I record with FRAPS, and then when I edit the video - export it to FLV (F4V). Still, if video is long you'll get like 100-300+ Mb files, but that is better than 5 gigs of uncompressed video to upload :D
  8. It is still a question why ED doesn't pay someone to do localization to chinese, since they: A: Have a larg number of active players, and B: Are the nation that is biggest in numbers AND THEY LIKE PLANES! ;) Want money? Go chinese. :D
  9. How hard it is to script ATC not to tell you the same runway in 99% of cases? Ever heard of "scramble"? Yes? Well - that is what actually happens all the time in DCS: Bunch of planes need to be put up there ASAP. Scrambling is a planned manner of raising as much as possible aircraft in as short possible period. So, all the serious servers have the "Right" or "Left" side rule for taxi and take off/landing. Why can't we choose what approach we want to use? I am sure it can be done in a jiffy. - EVENT PLAYER CONTACTS ATC DECLARING INBOUND - EVENT ATC RESPONDS and ask which runway PLAYER want's to use for approach - MENU ACTION PLAYER SELECTS RWY NUMBER FROM MENU and ATC gives appropriate answer to "INBOUND" request - EVENT PLAYER is on the start of final approach and THEN ATC ASKS FOR CONTACT .......(IF player swithces to "LNDG"/"POS" THEN ASK "is the player in the 20km radius from airport" .......WHEN YES Ask for visual clearance and give wind and approach information .......WHEN NO ATC Responds with information same as when PLAYER declares "Inbound" - gives him information what do to to reach designated point for starting final approach. That wouldn't be so hard to make, especially to people who made one entire simulator :)

  13. No, definetly bad mipmaps, just made a file, loaded it and it works fine. It was about creating mipmaps from 2048x2048 file by means of plugin tool, and then saving that with "existing mipmaps". Now all that is left is to rebuild the mod from scratch since i am "easy-on-the-shift+delete" :music_whistling: EDIT: Blaze why'd you delete your comment, now I look silly :D

  15. Yeah, I figured out how to make good mipmaps at last 5 minutes ago. Not bad since I installed the DDS plugin first time in my life 2 hours ago LOL So, since it's 4 AM and I accidentally deleted the file, I will rebuild this from scratch when I come from work - that is if I don't pass out when I come back home :P Will post it as a new mod and notify you here. If you have any wishes/good ideas about the Su25T kneepads - message me. Anyone. You know - what to put on what knee. When I find where is the right part of the cocpit I will put the airport list to those little white boards on the right, and use kneepads for some other information, but that is coming when I succesfully make this mod.   16. Must use "Mipster" from DDS plugin to create a correct mipmap file (dunno if you used NVidias tool for texturing). If I take a file as-is then it makes a mess. Trying it now, standby.
  17. No, Mipmaps are bad. Gonna rest now, and do it again later. I left mipmaps untouched and got this. When I tell him to make new mipmaps he cuts out most of the picture (bottom half and over that) when making mipmaps. So I just need to figure out how to make appropriate mipmap file for this... Thank you for being helpful. :)
  18. Thanks Speckfire. Blaze, have any idea why this is happening? Photoshop opens it in 2048x2048, loaded mipmaps and when i finish editing and save - this is what i get... what did I do wrong...? Sry for being a bother.... -.-
  19. Ok, ok, wrong path. Dunno what actually happened. It is supposed to be in zipped folder in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\World\textures But having some problems with size - it seems to be oversized. Probably something with saving a file trough dds tool. Figuring out at the moment... I didn't try placing tga/bmp to TempTextures, since I wanted to make it be where it is supposed to be.
  20. EDIT: Ok, ok, wrong path. Dunno what actually happened. It is supposed to be in zipped folder in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\World\textures I opened original DDS file from the path in the photo provided below. I edited it, than saved under same name and extension (file type if you prefer) with alpha channels using the DDS tool. I saved in different folder and pasted it to a original path. It has alpha channels. Same name, same place as default. Help me out, so I can get good at this modding and make sh*tload of mods for all of us :D I know the tools, but still learning the way DCS reacts. I plan on putting the bearings table of Airport-2-Airport on the left knee BTW. :)
  21. Original File is .DDS and I've used NVidia tool (plugin) for photoshop for creating DDS files. It is user made, but in the same file format as the original file. That should work - but it is not. In addition to that - I have had a mod of the knees in 1.2.3 but when updated to 1.2.4 it stopped working - reverted to default.
  22. And you're telling me nobody (except the people that actually DO mods) noticed it? :D New or not - I laughed my ass off (since they can say shit, I may say ass :P) Now, do you have an idea about the question in post above yours? ;)
  23. OK. I made this. Simply replacing the file doesn't render it in game. I used NVidia plugin for photoshop. It's .dds file. Any help? (I know it's off-topic, but hay - it is a screenie of an in-game feature :P)

  25. And now my ML missiles decided to DISSAPEAR right after fired!!!! They didn't blew up, 'cause I didn't sustain damage.
