Regarding bugs in this mission. After finishing the cross wind take off I had to land in the next mission. My landing ended with wings off and plane on fire and I was told that I had successfully landed the plane.
-
Only FSX (and P3D 2.4)
-
Yes. I do have and tried a sidewinder joystick but I missed a lot of buttons that I have on the yoke. Also I didn't get the impression it was easier with the yoke.
-
Yes and this means I had made things in the wrong direction. Last time being aware the real wind direction I successfully could take off and did it on heading 100 deg.
-
Yes I got CH Rudder pedals and Yoke and Throttle quadrant Do you mean I should use 8 degrees right rudder trim. Other posts says the wind direction is the blowing to direction. What are your sources.
-
After reading that thread two things strikes me I have always assumed that the wind is coming FROM 17 deg as that is RW way to interpret direction. It is stated to use full back stick
-
To me he does not seem to use ailerons into the wind. And only small input on rudder. My attempt to fly like him ended in disaster as before

I could watch my track file without problem. Any way I attach a new one were I tried to think about your suggestion. Still no success. I noticed that plane started to turn before sufficient speed for take of. Staying on runway when this happen is the problem. Either my effort to counteract isn't sufficient or the plane over reacts to the other side. xwindto.trk

I have both these features disabled In this mission the runway is at 90 deg angle from the wind Yes relaxing stick

Here is one to.trk

Nothing helps. No matter what I try to do it ends in disaster. And this happens after I get up to speed. I knew that I should try to turn into the wind. BTW at what direction do you take of. Do you turn left or right at the runway from the taxiway to the left of the plane at start ?
-
They are checked. Before that I could neither take off or taxi. It was discovered immidiatley
-
Maybe a little. But I mostly have the impression that the planes goes sideways at least initially.
-
In the P51D campaign one mission is to do a take off in a 10 m/s crosswind. I have failed that countless times now. Instead of the plane taking of it rolls around and crash. Normal take offs are no problem for me.
-
Yes I have CH Rudderpedals and they seem to work fine. I also use them in FSX P3D

I have tries the last quick start mission for the free TF 51D. Every time my plane becomes a wreckage after touch down because it starts turning and I cant keep control. I now have the impression that the free TF 51D is more difficult to land than the pay ware P51D. Could it be so or is it something I must be imagining ?

I wonder if the A10C could be recommended if you don't have a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog ? I have both A10A and A10C and has been trying to learn the A10A. The lack of interactive tutorials and few missions in addition to a non clickable cockpit disturbs me
-
I bought FC3 because partly because of its planes supposedly easier to learn. But that is not my impression. So far I'm unable to make any mission or instant action flight. I'm confused about this, In the weapon store panel I see many stations with green lights in the upper row but none in the lower. Are that not supposed to be a lit green light in the lower left when the weapon is selected ? I see weapons on the stores but seem unable to fire them. I'm supposed to use release weapons for bombs and missiles right ? Pressing this assigned button seem to change mode instead. In the instant action how do you succeed ? I always get shot down here and in the mission. I have seen the tutorial videos. Am I better of spending time on learning the A10C (which I have) with its interactive tutorials ?
-
Well for now I have purchased the Black Hawk. I have tried the first interactive lesson where you start it. It's a problem to see and understand where the switches are supposed to be. I have fully completed it once. I see there are still time to get the UH 1
-
I have decided to skip the Fw. Instead I just purchased the Black shark 2
-
I have the P51D Mustang and consider the Fw 190. So I would like to know how good it is compared to the Mustang ? I think of things like bundled training lessons missions and campaign and its qualities quality of the documentation Features I would also like to hear about its leaning step. How difficult is to fight in ? Am I correct in thinking that the Fw is a fighter only and therefore there are no kind of bombing missions ?
-
I was thinking about the text labels in the cockpit
-
I forgot to mention that I also have the CH Rudder pedals (and saitek trimwheel) . What do you mean with a twisty-stick ? I already have made my investment. I decided that the throttle quadrant was a better choice than a stick. I also fly in FSX. What would my current MS Sidewinder lack that a modern stick have ?
-
I have a CH Flight Sim Yoke and a CH Throttle quadrant and Track IR- Also a not connected Microsoft Sidewinder joystick. So the most easy to use DCS helo would be the Ka-50 ?
-
I'm considering buying it during this sale. But I do have some concerns regarding learning step and difficulty level. From other Flight Sim titles like FSX I experience that it is significantly more difficult to fly a helicopter compared to ordinary plane. Is this Black Shark more difficult to fly compared to for example the P51D in DCS ? Does it have so many buttons and levers that a particularly game controller is needed. Which I think is the case with the A10C which really need a Hotas. What tutorial lessons are included and of how good quality ?
