Well not everything is set to english the ABRIS display screen is still in russian although for now when starting the chopper it does not matter

I have learned the A10C the P51 and now try to learn the BS2. One thing that makes it more difficult with the BS2 is the Russian language. With the A10C for example I understand the text at the switches and the messages given on the displays. This is not the case with the BS2 since all text is in Russian. When the tutorial tells me to turn on a switch I can no longer find it by reading the text beneath like with the A10C. How do you feel about it ? What did you do to overcome this difficulty ?

I don't score any good in the campaigns Georgian hammer and Operation save Badger. I go into mission planner and note were the units should be. I slave all sensors to waypoint at the units or assign my own SPI using the visible red points visible from the cockpit. But when I put the TGP or Maverick sensors there I see no units even though they should be there. This makes it very difficult to succeed in these campaigns.

Interesting video. Like me you have to raise the collective more than 50%. Then it seem to me that you are not exactly stationary over the same point. When I try to recreate this I easily start to drift away little more.

Is there some rules here ? For example if I (need to) press left rudder should the cyclic be in a specific direction ?

Since I last posted a reply in this thread I tried many times and yes it's still tricky or rather impossible I think. I downloaded and tried the mission posted earlier in the thread. I try to hover in front of the hangar and many times I actually end up crashing in it instead. At best I may succeed hover a couple of seconds or so. I do it like this, 1) First I try to set collective and rudder to an estimated left position as in the tutorial video. Then press force trim. Finding this position seem tricky. 2) I start rising the collective. Usually first thing to happen is a yaw to the right and so much seem possible to react to. This usually happens when my radar altimeter still reads zero. 3) Then the Huey starts moving and now it's very difficult to counteract. The radar meter still does not show more than zero or one at the most. 4) Raising the collective to get up to 3 feet makes things even more difficult to avoid moving around even more.

I'm using TM Hotas Warthog with an extension to the joystick. The collective is assigned to the right throttle. It was new to me that I simultaneously needs to make adjustment to all three controls. This sounds very difficult.

Do you mean it should be 'hover' instead of hoover ?

Unless I miss something I control collective cycle and rudder and don't control torque directly. Do you mean where I live with being based ? If so I live in Sweden.

My torque gauge reads about 30 at pickup and then the collective is over 50%

If I don't pull that much collective the helicopter will remain on the ground

I'm using the ready tutorial practice mission and it's not before a hangar and I suppose I'm heavier loaded since I wont lift of from the ground with as little collective as in this video. How did you set up that flight ?

I have never been able to lift up the huey to a hoover. I watch the tutorial videos and try to do the same thing in the training tutorial. To lift the Huey off the ground is no problem but to make it hoover never succeeds particularly avoiding it to move away is very difficult. Are you able to do this ? Also a detail in the tutorial video they raise the collective only about 10-20 % for the Huey to lift off the ground. I need it to be slightly above 50%. Is this normal ?

So it is a bug in the training tutorial. Why don't they fix it ? I mean it's rather big bug. It's not possible to finish the weapon training interactive tutorial.

In the training tutorial weapon employment I get to the point where I'm supposed to set right gunner seat. This is not possible. I have checked which keyboard button and joystick button to use and they won't work. I can go to the left seat and I can open the gunners door by assigned buttons. But trying to set right back gunners seat only takes me to the right front seat and the tutorial wont proceed.

I have never been able to finish the first interactive tutorial where I should start up the Huey from cold. Last time when I should press HOME to start the engine nothing happened. what could be wrong then ? I followed the previous instructions. Also many times the tutorial does not continue after some point. For example after setting the throttle to idle and make sure controls are centered. Happened many times. Or after turning on battery and generator and the alarm goes on. One time nothing more happened after that. What could this be and what can be done ?

Could not find out how to record a video. I do fly level with good speed around 270 kt I do pull into a half loop and I always keep throttle at max ( a must ) I do roll off at the top and I never heard any stall warning horn. Strange thing I have completed this before but now it seem I fail no matter what I do.

I always fail the immelman. But I do pull up on the yoke and end up upside down and then level off. What could be wrong ? Could I have some more detailed instructions on how to do this ?

What is meant by a 'COIN' operation ?

I would like to know how these two DLC campaigns compare and differ ? Do they differ in difficulty level ? Which one would be best to get first ?

But I didn't use any emergency release but instead the ordinary command to lower the gears. I read in the manual that in case of a flame out the correct procedure is to activate the emergency brake. What is the point of switching from left to right hydraulics if there are no pressure in neither of them ? How long should a brake application be ?

Retracting the gears when on the runway ?:shocking: without damaging the plane ? Since I'm getting tired at failing the mission after successfully performing all the previous tasks I wonder It's said that I'm authorized to eject if not able to land. If I do that will I pass the mission ?
