  1. You can save them to \Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\[aircraft name]\[*****] Where ***** is joystick or keyboard. Actually you don't need to because automatically they get saved there anyway when you click OK after making any changes at which point ALL input device profiles for that aircraft get re-saved. You can reload them from there. And as has been pointed out you can't save any unless you have a cell under it's name highlighted. But just OK should do it for you anyway.
  2. One way to cut down on individual trees is a 'block' of forest, like a single object, with a single collision model and perhaps surround it with individual trees - or even not. The downside is impenetrable forest if you are in a tank. No Ardennes forest break-through on the Normandy map (if it reaches that far).
  3. If you mean that in MP the player names are visible against the aircraft but disappear as soon as you scroll down then yes, I have this problem too. I don't think there is a fix unless it happens to come with 1.5 or 2.0.
  4. Your resolution does not look correct. Either it is 3840 x 1080 (side by side) or it is 1920 x 2160 (one over the other). How are they arranged in Windows screen resolution? I don't have this arrangement so this is all done in my head without testing but try this (assuming your windows monitor arrangement is side by side, i.e. 3840 x 1080). Declare screen resolution in-game as 3840 x 1080
  5. I was more under the impression that, for the same spec anyone already has, EDGE would bring improvements in Graphics performance (otherwise my GTX980 and 3 new screens will have been pointless). I hope 1.5 / 2.0 is not somehow pushing other boundaries that would negate such Graphics performance improvement. Can you shed any light on that?
  6. Yes, I know. It is the 'advanced control' of labels I am looking for though. I want to set the Labels for all mission users. There is no half way house. Either ful labels are on or they are off. If they are on they can only be modified by the individual player locally through a Labels.lua in the \Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\ folder
  7. Please excuse my not re-reading 300+ pages if his has been asked before. In 1.5 or 2.0 will it be possible to set aircraft Labels in the Mission Editor. I know we can set local labels in the Labels.lua but I would like to be able to control them for everyone as part of the mission design.
  8. You may need a little right rudder. Don't lift off too early/slow and try to let it fly off by itself. Try not to lift off until around say 220 kph but the key thing is to stay right on top of it, expecting to make small but quick adjustments at the slightest sign of it going away from straight down the runway and especially at takeoff. It takes practice and your right, FSX flight modelling is quite benign. Similar answer to the 190. What are your system specs - you may have graphics settings too high for your hardware.

  10. Then log in to Multiplayer on DCSW beta using your DCSW standard login and accept the offer to install all of your modules into the beta. Finally copy the Input folder (and View folder if you have one) from \Saved Games\DCS\Config to the similar location in the beta folder to get all your controls settings.
  11. I just had the same problem so if it still isn't fixed try this: 1. Open DCSW open beta in Multiplayer 2. Log in with your usual DCS World (standard) login. 3. Open Module Manager - you will see a list of the modules you already own. 4. Un-tick any you don't want installled. 5. Click on the Install button at the bottom. Done.
  12. OK Sith, thanks for the clarification.
  13. OK so my usual DCSW start up won't update to 1.5? (I'm not clear on beta releases). If so it's a shame, I'd like to have had it.
  14. I am confused. I have DCS current installed. I assume the September 1.5 will install over that as a 'latest current version' or is it only for a separate 'beta' installation?
  15. Yes, I have this but it would be nice if 1.5 or 2.0 could adjust GUIs for surround/triple screen.
  16. The other things to remember are Wagg's video setup and possible affects of Twitch. It may not really look like that on your screen.
  17. Well no 'extraction' is needed as with, say, Helios if you just declare a Bottom monitor in the MonitorSetup .lua, it is driven directly from game graphics and it also moves around with the main cockpit view as you move your head.
  18. +1 I thought it was just me! I'd also like to see DCS recognise multi-monitor setups and adjust the other GUIs accordingly.
  19. MH434 eh? Does this mean that ED are collaborationg with The Old Flying Machine Company on modelling/performance/testing? Here's the real deal (one taken from a Dragon Rapide) (if anyone would like to see that; )
  20. Well, I expect you know that the clipped wing was introduced along with the 45M LF engine specifically to combat the FW190A's that were introduced in August 1941 and were destroying many full wing Merlin 45 Spit MkV's. It improved roll rate and was faster with +18lbs boost. That is why it was needed but even so it wasn't enough. The much faster Spit IX with the two stage supercharged engine initially had the Merlin 61, not 'LF', before getting the Merlin 66, LF, from mid 1944 which helped a lot but the roll rate problem never went away and neither did the FW's so the clipped wings remained. Some did have full wings tips fitted though. My own preference would be to have both the clipped wing and the full wing version available. But perhaps most of all I am hoping for the E wing and two 50 calibre machine guns with the two 20mm Hispanos. The 50s were introduced in March 1944 and were standard in and 2nd TAF Spitfires (i.e. over Normandy) from around D-Day.
  21. Did you just create a new yardstick? "2 weeks" "2-3 days" Get back to work! :)
  22. .... and therefore quicker ? :)
