  1. No ground, tower, departure, and arrival. I manually hand jam the freqs or swap radios-- nothing. Somewhere past the waypoint 2 the comms start working, but once I'm handed off to approach, no mas. No easy comms or mods.
  2. No joy w/pushing enter. No ATC comms. Other campaigns, the UFC works fine.
  3. Ahh, I see. I'll try it next time. Thanks!
  4. Shouldn't have to press enter. Just change the channel.
  5. First time flying this campaign. No F10 messages when trying to call ground, tower, departure or approach. Seems like the comm's to the base don't work inside 50 miles.
  6. I figured it out.
  7. Just so I'm clear -- during CASE 1 recoveries, there is NO ILS available therefore, no needles?
  8. Disregard...it was the date in editor. I had to move it back about 21 years . Mods can delete this thread if you wish.
  9. When using mission editor, I cannot select the F-14. For a while, I noticed I could only pick the "A", but didn't sweat it. However, now, neither A or D show up in my aircraft list, but it shows I have the Tomcat module installed at the bottom of the home screen. Anyone else have this or seen this issue? Using beta by the way. Tried a repair...no bueno. All F-14 campaigns and missions work as advertised. Thanks
  10. JFS doors open on touchdown and close on roll out, but don't open during JFS start up.
  11. I did a full DCS repair & so far it’s fine.
  12. Same issue here. Running the latest version of beta.
  13. Mission 6, Missing man formation... After radio check-in of the flight for taxi; all 3 Ravens check-in as required, but after launch of Raven 1 and 2, 3 and 4 disappear from the deck. 3 and 4 taxi forward a couple feet, stop, but never go to the cat's. Also during "kiss off" of Raven 2, the AI starts a descending turn into the water, but doesn't crash.
  14. I’m having those issues while using super carrier. Good LOC, but no GS.
  15. Fellas I’m planning on getting a new CPU specifically for playing this sim. I’m ok w/forking out some $$$’s to get a serious platform. So, what’s everyone using? I’m wanting high frame rates well north of 100. Is anyone running the Alienware Aurora Ryzen R10? Thanks
  16. BUMP!!! My keyboard stopped working in both sim versions.
  17. Performed the latest 2.5 update and now it asks for product keys for the A-10, F-5, and Nevada. It also says in 3 days F-18 and AV-8 will be deauthorized along w/not being no longer authorized for Persian Gulf. What's the deal?
  18. Airflow over the gun muzzle I bet. Similar to the howl or whine from WWII aircraft at high speed from the gun ports. The Hawker Hunter has a very unique sound called a "bluenote".
  19. I've been noticing that while using the ICLS, it's been failing or "falling off line". Yesterday I was shooting a few approaches and on one of my approaches, the system stoppped working. The needles disappeared from the HUD. Also, sometimes, I cannot get the system to work at all. One the last Hornet pre-loaded mission, the ILS won't come up at all. I have the system "ON" and tuned on my end. What do you guys think?
  20. That’s EXACTLY what I was doing. Thanks!
  21. No matter how I program the CMD, it always punches countermeasures in groups of 20. I cannot get it to deploy a single flare or a single bundle of chaff. What in the hell am I doing wrong?
  22. Like someone sitting on you. 5.5 w/out a G-suit is cool. I had a couple rides in a F-15...a lot more intense. Nothing is like the real thing. This jet talks to you. I can feel & hear what position the flaps are in. I can feel in the stick if I get too slow. I can feel the buffet if I pull too hard on the stick. I actually don’t have the DCS version, but I’m gonna need it for systems practice when I go back for a full check out. The dude rocks. Former Viper dude & currently an airline guy.
  23. Linked up w/one of my buds that owns an L-39. Got a chance to fly her front seat!!! It's such a cool airplane to fly. Sooo easy too
  24. WSO's are trained as navigators and have navigator wings therefore, they are not rated pilots. In my old Strike Eagle squadron, pilot instructors had a requirement that they had to be able to fly and land from the back seat. So during the initial rides for pilots in the Strike, the IP sat in the back.
  25. I went scooting by the Nellis Range yesterday. FL360 along the CA/NV border. You can just make out Homey AFB (Groom Lake).
