    F-15E?

The back seater is not a "copilot" . He's a Weapons System Operator (WSO - pronounced WIZZO). They are navigators. The pilot (aircraft commander) can control and operate all of the sensors and systems that the WSO can and then some. However, it doesn't work that way. The workload is divided as needed w/the pilot flying the airplane, using the radar, looking for threats, pickle the weapons, and so on. The WSO will operate the mission sensors and coordinate the attack. If this was what you were wondering :smartass::D
  3. Very highly doubt it. The stuff doesn't just reflect light all that well. It's not "shiny".
  4. Those are flares guys. Rotor down wash is giving that effect. In the V-22 video, you can see puffs of chaff just like the poster said.
  5. My old squadron at SJ had the Nickel kill board in the ready room since it was the 555/550 when moved to SJ. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I don't know if it was shipped of to AV to be w/the 16's or not.
  6. You're dating yourself  Chaff is cut into very fine strips of different length about the thickness of a hair follicle. It's actually thin enough to get into your skin pours.
  7. You can call BS all you want. I'm not going to argue w/you because you have your cousin. But so you can have the facts, I fly the same airplanes at AA my friend. Got a few T-shirts.
  8. Yes and no They did lose a circuit from the opposite hydraulic system as well and a circuit from the utility system. The pictures I've seen of the damage shows the MLG forward doors open indicating they had to "blow" the doors open. JFS Thats true.
  9. It's a little different for larger or heavier aircraft. I was taught the same flying light GA, but it's the opposite for anything RJ size or larger.
  10. Bingo...where would I find it?
  11. Where do you get tacview?
  12. Igniter plugs. IGN is continuous ignition. MOTOR is for dry motoring the engine; no power to the igniters. NORM provides power to the igniter during normal start and removes it after start. Just keep it in NORM.
  13. Bueller....??
  14. There is no cockpit temp gauge in the F-15. As a matter of fact, I don't recall a gauge that shows external temps either.
  15. I thought I saw someone use it. How do I get to it in NTTR?
  16. THE BEST SOUNDS YOU WILL EVER HEAR!

  17. That is not the issue.
  18. I get the same when I play. I also get a left uncommanded roll after wheels up and always have to input right trim...always :joystick:
  19. Had a 15 gusting to 25 knot direct xwind in a 737 w/out pax and the right wing was flying before the left. Lots of yoke and spoilers were deployed. This was on take-off :pilotfly:
  20. If one strut is FULLY extended, there shouldn't be much drag. If the lower strut is still rotated, there should be considerable drag.
  21. I still don't know what the problem is?
