that skin is not real. was never painted on anyone's aircraft whatwhoever. Although i like the idea behind it ! I personally love to have all the enemies painted with a red target dot :D Flip

dude, im a pilot in real life with aircraft where you have to know how to deal with airspeed.

The F-15 should be able to fly supersonic at 60 000 feet anyways. Its designed to go high and fly efficient. Its so much BS in this sim that you bleed so much speed just trying to get up there although you know that in real life the aircraft has the aerodynamics and the engines to achieve such an altitude and use it to its advantage to sustain a good airspeed and use less fuel. My dad flew with an Alphajet from Beja , Portugal to Fürstenfeldbruck in one go, he climbed to 40 000 feet and when he was up there, roughly 43 000 feet, he had literarily used less gas than a car on the distance. That was with a man in the back, no external fueltanks and loads of baggage in the baggage compartments. Flip

ive spent...maybe up to 2 hours on one mission. It was a basic navigation and formation flying training mission that i made for my element, i was the flight lead at the time i had my squadron. I made a pretty standard scenario and as detailed as possible with correct altitudes, adjusted weather, vehicles and other support for the aircraft. It was actually quite alot of fun just making the mission. I know its a pain if you just want to make a quick mission but if you want something detailed its quite good! Flip

the other thing that is actually reducing the apaches (and other helicopters) heatsignature is the fact that the exhaust of the engines is directed into the rotor stream of the main rotor, causing the heat to be dispersed and the exhaust being cooled. Easy technique isnt it? :) Flip
