  1. Gotcha. I suppose I wanted it go be the full map, all-in-one. That would be pretty cool.
  2. You make a good point. I watched way more of that video than I thought I would looking for it. Never did find it but now brain hurts from those Pacman "music" noises, ;-) How on Earth did you come across that video?
  3. WoW. That is impressive. 2000+ units? Bet they would have kicked up quite a dust cloud if ya let 'em all roll at once.
  4. Hmmm ... good points. I am going to have to look into the OS a bit more then, which I guess is fine since I won't have to spend much time looking at SSD's. I am shocked at how cheap that EVO Series one is, even for 750GB. BTW, not sute if you're a SciFi fan, but the Star Trek movies have a similar sequence, ;-)
  5. Oh thank God! I did buy everything from ED. So I'm guessing DCS works all right on Win 8 then, as far as you know? I remember I saw it come up a couple times but can't recall what the issues were.
  6. Been reading through the threads about SSD's and have been considering including one in my own system. I would have just posted my issue here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=119112 but I didn't want to hikack the thread and my prob is a bit different. Hard drive crashed this morning. Won't boot. Aarrgghh. Fifth internal laptop hd I've lost in five years (four different computers). Think I finally want to introduce a single SSD for OS, DCS and everything else. Currently using about 360 GB or so of the 700 I had available. 1: Recommend brand/model? My machine a laptop, which changes the problem a little bit - Alienware M18X R1, with an i7, two nVidia GTX 580M'S and 16GB HyperX DDR3, if that makes a difference, honestly I don't know. Everything comes preloaded on those so when the hd crashes, I have to either dust off the repair disk or use it as an opening to just buy a standalone version of Windows and avoid reinstalling all the bloatware. 2: Stick with Win7 or try Win8? 2A: A little OT, but how in the world am I ever going to recover my module serials? Thanks for any help!

    UH-1 Huey

No sling loads. No shared cockpits. I don't care what's written, it's beta until those are added.
  8. Ok, nightmares for a month I'm sure, ha ha. Spiders and I have a working agreement - I leave them alone and they leave me alone. Not sure my cat has the same neutrality, however, ;)
  9. Is this a bug or actually scripted that way, because that's pretty cool if they get out then back in again?
  10. Really? Interesting, thanks! I should be able to make adjustments with that in mind easily in the meantime.
  11. Excellent, and yes, thanks for the hard work. Demand seems to be building for this outstanding idea. I know it's going to be great! Can't wait.
  12. I wouldn't mind hearing an update either, since we were told a real Eagle pilot took it for a spin and made suggestions that would push back the release a bit. Where is it now?
  13. Did what ya said, Grimes, and so far it's working fine. Thanks for working to expediting the fix, tho. Only problem is I have unfortunately, a couple fairly large groups of former "start" tasks that happen at the same time which is generating a decent lag spike, but as I said, that one is at least work-aroundable now, :-)
  14. I am nowhere near talented enough to "rewrite script," but since you are making progress, can you and whoever else understands this stuff please keep working on this somewhere and post workable updates? I am one of what I'm sure is a decent crowd of people who would LOVE to see a downloadable, working script to add to missions for random ai traffic.
  15. Yes it should. Thought I saw a prop wash thread in here somewhere. Seems like a little time spent with smoke could kill a lot problems at once.
  16. You mean the current SU-27 pit isn't 3D? I don't understand. I thought they were all 3D already. Does that mean if you move your seat position around the instrument cluster and everything remains flat or something?
  17. Not sure if this is the place to put this, but I ran across this issue a couples days ago and it caught me offguard. Shouldn't the smoke from the destroyed jet be blowing too? *attached*
  18. This! Same thing happened to me. I dropped of a squad and thought I'd get 'em started but my Huey hit a brick wall when I made contact with the soldier. Eventually killed him, but not without nearly running me into the ground.
  19. Can't believe this hasn't been played up more. What an excellent idea. ED should really release an option for something like this is every mission, similar to the traffic sliders in FSX. Not ALL missions are combat-oriented and I'd love to have some traffic while I practice techniques around the airdrome. So as diveplane asked, I too, am wondering if this is now good to go.
  20. Apocalypse Now! :-) "Siagon. Sh** ..." Nice work.
  21. Ahhh hah. That would be why my tankers are not launching on command. Ouch. Thanks for the update. That ine definitely is going to save me some time. It's why my tankers weren't launching but my other a/c spawned later were.
  22. I'm reading enough about people attempting to fix errors caused to previously-functioning missions on account of the 1.2.7 release to inquire here. I myself noticed that group stop wasn't working at mission start anymore. I have three missions I was close to finishing when 1.2.7 came out - tested and operational. I have opened them and saved them in 1.2.7 but the testing took foreeeeever because of all the triggers I have in place. Before I jump in and try to test them all again, I was wondering if there is a compiled list somewhere, all in one place, of mission triggers and events and/or other parts of missions that seem to be no longer working and would make good starting points for testing/correcting 1.2.6 missions. They use A-10's, Hueys (with CTTS), ai ships and tankers, dynamic weather ... Where to begin?
  23. Ha ha ha ... I didn't want to say it, but I was thinking it.
  24. Even if I had that kind of talent, I'd be far to nervous to attempt a project of that depth and level of fragility. Bold, and as Revan mentioned insane! So incredible.
  25. Ooooooo nice! I would put that experience up there with riding on the Concord. Forget loud, that would be sooooo cool.
