Condisering the shape of the wing and the drag it must create at that AoA, that's really impressive.
-
60deg AoA? Could it sustain that or would it be bleeding speed?
-
Might be off topic as this point, but I'm totally for this. Many people do not understand how/when to use ECM and it has caused me to hesistate when aiming at enemy MiGs as well as commit fratricide accidentally.
-
Wait. Do you HAVE to press C for PAC to work? That just selects the cannon right? Shouldn't PAC be always on?
-
Nice vid! Wonder how far out the F-15C is on that list and I have to believe vectored thrust gives something to the F-22. The deeper wing should improve maneuverability as well.
-
No kidding? That's crazy. Never seen one at an show. It's on my aviation bucket list though. In that case, the sound is perfect, ;-)

Very nice. Such a unique sound. I don't remember the Harrier being so loud, but I guess I really only saw them landing. Can't wait to see it all pieced together. It's going to be such a great jet.

1.2.4: Helicopter takeoff from ships corrected
rassy7 replied to tietze's topic in General Questions
Pleeeeeeeeeeease is anyone ever going to fix this? There are now three helos in the game and I'm sure more are coming. I know people are making all kinds of fixes to the Russian carrier. Could maybe some of those guys take a whack as correcting this? -
Interesting observation. I never would have thought to look. If the Huey wasn't lacking so many other promised options which should have been implemented by now (prior to MI-8), including aircraft sharing, I'd say they should fix that. Seems like it could be easy too. Also, how cool would a DCS Blackhawk be?
-
I'm excited for Edge/Nevada, but I am concerned about how they will affect performance. I run DCS on my laptop and it runs well right now but I don't know how much more she can take. Would be a shame to lose a smooth-running DCS for an overhaul upgrade.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I couldn't find this issue replicated on the forums and was about to start an invasive prodedure on my install, ha ha. Phew. Hope that AFM comes along soon, for many reasons, but now so it will hopefully fix this bug too.
-
Thanks to whoever moved this topic, but nobody seems to be replying to threads in here (Object Errors) and I'd like to get some insight so I can try and resolve this strange issue. Nobody else has encountered this at some point?
-
I just noticed my F-15 doesn't fully contact the ground anymore when the sim believes it's there. I can't find a way to make it actually touch the ground. Am I missing something? Bug?

ME: how to create an AI air refueling?
rassy7 replied to uboats's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Ok then. Make sure you set the MiG's task, or action (I forget what it's called exactly) to refueling at that waypoint. If it needs gas, it should raise the tanker and join up. Lower the fuel to near-bingo and try again. -
ME: how to create an AI air refueling?
rassy7 replied to uboats's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Are you sure the MiG 31 is capable of air-to-air refueling? I know the MiG 29 isn't. -
Yes, Wrecking Crew, I believe we are. Have you had any further success since your last post on your thread?
-
Excellent, HiJack! Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. I knew there had to be a way to sync those. Fortunately we use the same joysticks so that shouldn't be a problem.

I might not be searching for this correctly so stop me and point me to the topic if you know of one with an answer to this already, but I have spent a while remapping some of the controls for a few of my modules, mainly to make them more convenient (using laptop keyboard). I've finally manged to get my dad on board the DCS train but he's still using teh default assignments. Is there a way to export a file or overwrite an existing control file somewhere that will just make his a clone of mine? It's impossible for me to help him without memorizing both the default assignments and mine. Thanks for the help

Well I was using the multiplayer logbook which I downloaded. I imagine it was affected the same way. I'm just guessing the updates reinstall the logbook files and overwrite any modded ones installed. So I just reinstalled the files I downloaded.
-
Yep. Same here. I have reinstalled the logbook after each update and it seems to work then.

Pretty freakin' excited about this. Sounds like this A-10 goes back to the kind of flying that got it that down and dirty rep in the first place, when the green camo meant something. Haven't yet dipped into this mod but I have been flying the C for a while now. What major systems can I expect to diappear/changes can I expect to find?

F-15C radar: too many user errors!!
rassy7 replied to flavnet's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thought I read somewhere about a guy creating a timed macro to make that switch with one push of a button, although it seemed a little over the top for me and I think a lot would still have to be just right for it to work ... but if that is really important to you, might be worth a try. -
Fine fine, settle down. I'd like to see improvements like everyone else but 1.2.5 and a patch was JUST released. I don't think repeating the same issues to ED another 1,000 times for another 46 pages and that will fix it. I just took a second to agree with somebody else, who bravely thought for a moment, that perhaps after more than 40 pages of what's wrong, we might take a second to consider what's goneright. That is all. Now, back to why missiles are bad and everything sucks, I guess.
-
The missiles are what they are. Unless you are a dev, there is nothing you or any of us can do about it. We can play or we can not play. I choose to play.
