  1. Ah, thank you. It is reassuring to know that it is the norm’ then. I have no issue with a lengthy wait, in fact I expected one. It was just the sudden grinding to a halt that made me think it had fallen off the radar, and into someone’s car boot
  2. Thanks. I’m not bothered about it taking some time, just concerned that the tracking has completely stopped in a worrying fashion. This is the part that is perplexing me. Just wondered if other people had gone through that same tracking pattern.
  3. Hi all. I’ve got a Jetseat on order. Thing is, the tracking number has followed it doing a bit of a merry dance through Russia, until it got stated as, “Released by Customs”, or something similar on the 6th July. Since then it has gone cold and dark, with not a single update. Is this par for the course? I realise that COVID is slowing things down, but even so, it seems odd to have sat for over a week without any movement at all. Probably just me panicking, but would be interested to hear how others have fared.
  4. There was a fair bit of concern over on the AVforums about this. Then an employee of System Active joined the conversation. See post #222. For what it’s worth, I left my order with the German company. https://www.avforums.com/threads/hp-reverb-g2.2282447/page-9
  5. Yes. It looks fantastic. Great preview by MRTV. Pretty much all boxes ticked :)
  6. To be honest, I just ordered my G2 so I can bag one early. I had no expectations of getting decent performance from it, due to my system needing an upgrade. And, like many, I won’t upgrade yet, because I’m waiting for the 3080’s, the Zen 3, and, maybe, DDR5. However, if people are stating that it will still perform well due to being able to lower PD etc, then that is great news. I’m selling my Rift S to fund this, but have a Quest I can use via Link as a standby, just in case my pc is too weak. Can’t wait for it to land :)
  7. Just had word from elsewhere that the UK price has now been revised to £525. Personally, I am going to leave my German order in place, as I don’t want to be at the back of the queue and risk slipping into a 2nd batch. https://systemactive.co.uk/online/basket/
  8. Just ordered one. Thanks for the Germany heads-up folks. I had no idea. I was just waiting it out until the UK declared the doors were open.
  9. Thanks both. Never pre-ordered from overseas before. I think I better bag one before it’s too late.
  10. Very tempted, but slightly hesitant. Is using PayPal a good idea for for payment for a pre-order, what, with it coming from Germany etc. Will I still have some kind of protection if it goes tits?
  11. Regarding the inexplicable explosion..... Did you press F2 to have a peep? Whenever I randomly explode, a quick press of F2 usually reveals an errant plane or jeep embedded in my jacksie :(
  12. Wait till you try the training missions. They are a barrel of laughs too. The main thing I learned from them was to get airborne as fast as you possibly can, before planes and vehicles alike start indiscriminately ramming you on the ground :D
  13. Just picking up on the SU25T Russian cockpit comment you made in your OP. You can actually change the cockpit to English from the menus. I can’t tell you how, exactly, as I’m away from my PC. But I’m sure someone will tell you how. Edit: Wrong plane, lol. Probably possible in the SU27 too, but not sure.
  14. To be honest, I think I slipped up with Simshaker for Wings. But, it didn’t exactly cost the Earth, and I’m sure will get used at some point. I’m hoping SimShaker Aviator is included, but I’ll deal with that when the JetSeat turns up. It’s all a bit confusing when jumping in from cold :noexpression: Edit: Just checked on the website, and it is compatible with IL2 and Condor Soaring, so I will deffo be using it :)
  15. I ordered this one: https://andres.shop/jetseat/24-76-vibrating-pad-simshaker-jetpad-fse.html#/11-color-black/30-additional_software_included-none along with the SimShaker software. I opted for the seat with the cutout because I figured it would offer more options further down the road. Just looking forward to it landing now :)
  16. I ordered from Andre yesterday, and he contacted me immediately with confirmation of order, despatch date etc. Also had the SimShaker license emailed to me virtually instantly. So, yes, he’s definitely trading. I actually preferred the look of the Realteus product, but am happier to deal with someone who actually cares about his customers.
  17. If you’re loving the F-5, then maybe give the Sabre a whirl. Similarly simplistic with just an amazing flight model. I only picked mine up last week, but can’t even look at the other planes in the hangar now. I absolutely love it. Picked up the F-16 at the same time, but just can’t find an ounce of love for it. Very tempted to grab the MI-8 heli, for some future fun. Looks great, and if, as people are implying, the flight model is even better than the Huey then I’m all in. I have the Huey already and it is an absolute delight to fly.
  18. Thanks. I’ll have a nose at these as soon as I get a bit of me time :)
  19. Just ordered the Jetseat from Andre. Really quite excited to breathe another layer of realism into the sim. I already have a decent HOTAS, and VR. This will be the icing on the cake. Edit: Andre is very quick. Sent me confirmation emails etc, and also my license code for SimShaker. Happy days :)
  20. That’s a shame if it makes you ill. Vr, in it’s earlier years was quite nauseating. However, it has got better, both with developer’s understanding of how to reduce the effects, and, also, with hardware becoming more capable of higher frame-rates. Low FPS in vr is a sure recipe for headaches. On the bright side, if you still fancied trying, there has never been a better time. With the current pandemic, vr has suddenly become real popular, and demand for headsets is at an all time high. Consequently, resale value is sky high too. I’ve seen resale units sold for more than RRP, simply because of the waiting lists for new ones. So you could try, and keep if all well, or just sell on if it didn’t work out for you. And have very little impact on your pocket. At least you would know, categorically, if you could use vr now. Be an awful shame if you could, but never tried. It really is leagues above playing flat. So much so, that if vr was somehow cancelled, I very much doubt if I would bother with simming anymore.
  21. I think you are spot on. I played around a bit this evening, and not upsetting the gyros does seem to be key. I also think that if I’m going to bank over, then I want an extra 2-3000’ of height in the kitty. Just to give me a bit more chance to stabilise everything. An experienced pilot could probably forego that luxury.
