  1. You are right. The rudder is offset to the right, although my rudder pedals have been properly calibrated. Here are 2 pictures to demonstrate this bug:
  2. Honestly, I think this is a bug. I need to deflect the stick to the right in order to counter the tendency to roll left. I'm unable to make the stick center upon touchdown. Since two ailerons deflects at the same angle. Moving ailerons when running down the runway should not make big difference to the speed of the left and right wing, if at all. Also, doing differential braking using buttons is way too difficult. Please allow us to use (left and right) rudder twist as left and right wheel brake axis.
  3. I didn't even see Wag and other players in this thread need to do an abrupt and harsh rudder input upon touch-down. I can't figure out why my Dora will shift to the right fiercely upon touch-down, which is unable to counter with rudder control. I'd rather think that this is a bug.
  4. Seeing how authentic the Dora is. I have confidence that such things won't happen. Compared to the Dora we have, the Dora in that sim accelerates like a deflated truck.
  5. After knowing that the correct touch-down speed is around 210, I made a few more attempts, hoping that the tendency of Dora shifting to right upon touch-down will reduce. However, the problem remains. I am unable to use rudder to counter this. Can anyone have a look at my track? Dora Landing 2.trk
  6. After 8 hours of practice, I can now take off quite decently. What I conclude from it is that you should follow every instruction Wag gives in the video tutorial. Yes, every instruction. If you increase the throttle too fast, the plane will quickly slip to one side when you center the stick. If you center the stick sooner or later than 170 km/h, say 160 or 180, the same things will happen. The room for error when taking off and landing in this plane is unbelievably small. I don't know if the fw-190s IRL acted like this. But if it is so difficult to land a factory-new plane, I can't imagine how those pilots managed to walk away from their damaged planes. Also, there seems to be some bugs regarding the FM of gliding wreck. For a few time, I've seen my upside-down wingless plane which is gliding down the runway magically turned right way up through quickly rotating along the longitudinal axis. Another question I want to ask is: I found that the "Final Approach" instant mission starts with 100% fuel. Were 190 pilots allowed to land with full fuel quantity?
  7. When I am taxiing, if I hold the left/right brake key for about 0.5 second and press W to let the plane come to a full stop, it will still do a sharp left/right turn when I slowly increase the throttle. In my opinion, when the wheels are rolling from stillness, there shouldn't be any speed difference between two wheels. In other words, the plane should roll straight ahead. Note: Auto rudder and takeoff assistance are off. (IMO, these two things should be defaulted to OFF to avoid unwanted behaviors. Most DCS players are experienced simmers. Such aiding systems will all but frustrate them.)
  8. Absolutely my favorite plane of all time. Can't wait to fly this beast in the virtual sky. I hope there will be a 2 x MK108 gunpod modification option.
  9. When will we get a fixed reticle for EZ-42? Without a fixed reticle, I'm not able to do deflection shooting, which the butcher bird was famous for and their pilots were proud of. If I had a fixed reticle, I would be able to kill the mustang within 5 minutes. I can't remember how many opportunities have slipped away from my hands. P. S. How can I display TAS of Dora?
  10. I also think that it's a bit overdone even switched off. Shouldn't pilots be firmly tied to their seats when flying?
  11. Is there any link to read more about that?
  12. Yep. That's what I meant.
  13. I read somewhere years ago that real 190 pilots tend to trim their the horizontal stabilizer some minus degrees because 190s are a bit tail-heavy. But the game depicts a completely different picture. The plane can't keep its nose up even at 500+ km/h air speed, which feels really weird.
  14. If I need to use both brakes, I could use a joystick button or W key.
  15. Currently, the game only supports mapping wheel brake, left brake and right brake to one axis. I have a pair of CH rudder pedals, but have removed the brake pots and use them as spare parts for rudder pedals. I'd like to use the twist rudder of my MSFFB2 as a wheel brake axis. I'd like left twist to be mapped to wheel brake left and right twist mapped to wheel brake right. But currently the game doesn't allow me to set it up like this. Is there any workaround?
  16. I really can't figure this out. If I had known I would only be able to get one aircraft in the end, I would have never pledged. Since the Ilya started the kickstarter project under a agreement with ED, it can be concluded that ED deemed the project as feasible. Otherwise they wouldn't have let Ilya start the project in the first place. Now after the project ended up unfruitful, they are telling us that the raised fund is not enough? I pledged the project knowing that Ilya was not a person worth trusting because I believed ED will, as usual, fulfill its promise. But the final solution is very very disappointing. Besides the delayed delivery, the rewards are also dramatically shrunk. I don't think I'll invest any more on your products from now on.
  17. What aircrafts will I get? I pledged $20 and chose Thunderbolt, Kurfurst, Spitfire and Dora in the reward page. Now what aircrafts will I get after the reward restructuring?
  18. Hey Groove, I sent you a message two weeks ago. Please help me gain the access to the backer forum.
  19. I hope the multiplayer will factor in esports support, such as detailed stats, game backup and restore and spectator HUD etc.
  20. It was said the Oleg once told an IL-2 player in an email that all the original performance data of Fw-190 "is German propaganda". I'd like to know whether he still holds such a point of view. If Oleg is still bias against German planes, I, as well as my squad mates, won't be buying any WW2 planes from DCS any more.
  21. Any news on the butcherbird? The title said it all. Can't wait to fly it.
  22. Can't wait to fly that Beauty! I would happily pre-order it when the beta test is available.
  23. Very well said. You have pinpointed the exact problems with IL2. That game is heavily biased towards VVS aircrafts, especially in the most recent patches. The acceleration performance of all German aircrafts are heavily undermodeled. And it takes forever for them to reach maximum level speed.
  24. If ED really has a plan to develop a WW2 sim, I think it is about time to take action. The development of BoB is in a mess at the moment. What's more, it seems that their developer is not able to fix it, since some core programmers have left the house. Many WW2 simmers who have been looking forward to it for years are still holding their money in hands in hope of the sim to live up to their expectations one day. I am one of these simmers. I didn't buy Mustang because it's just a warbird which is put into a modern environment. There is no missions, no WW2 ground objects, and the most important, German fighters. If ED releases a late-war German fighter and promised to gradually enrich the game with historical WW2 elements, I can certainly say that it will attract quite a lot hardcore IL-2 players who are disappointed with BoB. German fighters can be created very efficiently, since there are only 2 types of fighters, 109 and 190. Difference between their variants are just some tiny cosmetic and function changes. If you release one of them (I hope it's either K4 or D9), I will buy it immediately. And I'll persuade my squad mates to buy it too. Considering the quality works ED has been doing in DCS series, I'm already excitedly seeing a rising community.
  25. I'm looking for the same kind of tracks, too. I remember a squadron called Black 169th Panthers has posted a lot of online A2A tracks in their squad forum back in around 2008, which was very helpful for beginners like me in my opinion. But it seems that their forum has been down for a few years. Or maybe the whole squadron has already been disbanded. I've been searching for tutorial tracks in the websites/forums of current major LO squadrons. But few of them seem to regularly post online tracks, though it might be that they were all waiting for FC3 or playing DCS, and hence stopped flying FC2. I really hope you veteran pilots can do us new comers a favor by uploading your online combat tracks after FC3 comes out. I am an IL2 player with over 8 years's online experience. But the mods have ruined its online community so much that I can hardly find a decent server to play in nowadays. And in my opinion, there are no WW2 sims in the market which can rival IL2 at the moment. So I've made the decision to move to jet combat sims.
