Hey lads, Updated the files today! I'm making myself an A1 size Poster of all my panels to hang on my pit room wall. In the process I've re done each file and added the compiled colour version of the panel on the last page of the PDF. Panels should be good to laser/cnc cut, and now with the last page you can print them out as well. If you have previously downloaded the files i recommend deleting them and downloading these new ones- i found a few errors in some panels and have now fixed them all. Cheers

There is a thread about that company over on viperpits. They never even answered my enquiry emails, and the Warthog extension I did actually buy from them was very low quality. I ended up making my own as well. $150 vs $5k... Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Hi all, FILES UPDATED 17 SEP 2020 A few people have asked for me to share the files I used for the panels on my A-10C cockpit, so I've decided to share them all - click here to download! The plans for the actual cockpit are not mine to share, I bought them from Flim and you can as well- right here To have a browse of my original build log click here And for some Youtube content (i'll be posting more) have a look here You can also follow me on Instagram- @thewarthogproject A QUICK DISCLAIMER These panels were designed by me in CorelDRAW to fit my needs. Although they are a reasonable representation of the A-10C modeled in DCS, I am not suggesting nor should you believe they are replicas of the real aircraft panels. For one example- The CDU layout was modified to incorporate F1-F12 buttons, and run a cheaper 5 inch LCD. The sizes of the panels on the side consoles are based on DZUS standards so they are quite accurate, but text and switch holes have been moved around to suit easier back lighting and cheap eBay toggles. Other panels (LG, Fuel, AHCP, and Gauge frames) were made up based on pics and sized to fit Flims Main Instrument Panel and my 27 inch LCD monitor. And a few panels are just are total fabrications by me (Canopy, Emergency Brake, Seat Height etc). Anyway, here is a bit of eye candy of what mine turned out like, just because i can [emoji106] Well, my Warthog is basically complete..... did somebody say Tomcat??

Ahh yeah that's right, I forgot mines actually running a 60 watt tube! The 40 watt tube I had from the machine originally did the cuts in one pass, although at higher power and lower speeds. I'll have a look for my landing gear panel files, although the mechanism itself was hand made of aluminium stock on the fly, so no plans for that one but it's very simple. I'll find and post some pics. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

The sheet I use is cast acrylic. It can be sold under the brand name Plexiglass, but be careful because some stores will sell any type of plastic sheeting as 'Plexiglass.' Ive bought sheets of that from a local hardware store with good results, then bought the same thing another time and found that it's actually Lexan Poly. And yes, I can confirm that does melt/ignite in the Laser! Make sure you are buying it from a seller that knows the difference, and that you are buying cast acrylic. Plenty of them online and on eBay. The diffuser was the same part in that video, must of been the angle or that I had removed its protective sheet at some point. And the 40 watt laser will absolutely do it in one pass. I don't need to set it higher than 40% power for 3mm acrylic, at 12mm per second. Hot knife through butter. Export Mirage 2000 VTB - only in external view ?
romeokilo replied to FZG_Immel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
From memory you have to turn on the exports in some aircraft with a keyboard button. Can't recall which button it is though. Have a look in your control profile. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Helios 1.4 - Taking to the Skys Once Again
romeokilo replied to BluFinBima's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Alright so managed to get it working. It still says can't find game install, however open the game and it works as normal. Although think I've found a problem, does this new version no longer support phidgets LED boards? Doesn't show up as an interface. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -

PhidgetLED-64 Advanced https://www.phidgets.com/?tier=3&catid=99&pcid=79&prodid=1024 Not cheap.... but very easy to build and wire up leds and its basically plug and play if you don't mind running helios in the background. My caution box is run via one and it does the job. Having said that... I'd recommend DCS BIOS and an Arduino over Phidgets any day. Cost is so much cheaper. Once you get one led blinking with DCS-BIOS, you will realise how easy it is to do and will end up with a full home cockpit. That's what happened to me. I'll be rebuilding my caution box to run via DCS-BIOS in the near future. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Put the old fuel panel from my build thread up on eBay. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F163367588002 No reserve. I'm good with $1 if someone can get some use out of it. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

The screen surface got a coat of the popular 'black widow' projector paint. I was surprised how much better the contrast is! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Definitely can be done. I use both. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Table mounted landing gear selector switch from a Tornado
romeokilo replied to DeadMeat's topic in Home Cockpits
That's great work! Good idea on the airspeed to operate the solonoid. I've got one of those Tornado levers lying around as well, after seeing yours I think I'll get it out and wire it up! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Have you got it set up correctly in Windows? I've got nvidia surround enabled, so Windows sees the two projectors as a single 3840x1080 display, and the other monitor as a separate one. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
-
Oh and a quick test to ensure that I can still export MFDs etc to more monitors was successful! And the blend it obviously bad... because I haven't actually done it yet. I need to paint the roof first so the projectors have to come back down, I'll sort it after that. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
