It's weird, because I'm a huge fighter fan, but I am actually hoping for the ground attack version! Ground attack in a fast mover is always a rush, and we have a real nice A2A scene forming already with the M2000C about to drop, some FC3 birds already around, and the F-18 in the pipe.

I wasn't "salty" about that thread but I understand why some people didn't appreciate it. It would have come across better if it was followed by actual news concerning when we are getting release information. So about that Viggen? What's the consensus? Interceptor or ground attack?

So about this DCS World thing? Lol Better yet how about those secret modules?

This would be great to have, as the limited flares mentioned in the video scared me a bit!

It is indeed! I got all excited and felt like I cyber spy though because an exact helmet was the 8th result when I searched for "Viggen Pilot Helmet" but it was actually an F-18 Jolly Roger helmet! Probably is another tomcat reference, but the F-4 was operated by the Jolly Rogers! (The plot thickens)

I missed that avatar, now it's a skull squadron symbol of some type? What's that all about forum? I'm lost. Need to find something to do with the Viggen or Corsair because that is definitely what is coming... I know it! EDIT: Google searches with the avatar brought up F-18 Jolly Roger tails, which is almost exactly the same artwork, but we know it's no F-18. Trying to see if it tied into a Viggen or Corsair somehow...

It's cool. I don't think we are pressuring you guys so much for release dates or anything as much as we would just like some information or maybe a hint. As theatrical as dropping the module bomb announcement may be for you guys, a lot of us enjoy knowing what's coming and the research, discussion and interest that comes along with that, sometimes months in advance!

Honestly the awesome G.W. Bush mod would be a massive head start for any 3rd party dev to pick up and finish, with credit to the original moders, assuming the 3rd party dev doesn't have one already. I guess the rub would be compensating the moders (I've where there are a few) for there original work or reaching some kind of agreement.

I couldn't disagree more with the remark about DCS being "more about A2A" as it's clear it's meant to be about all forms of air based combat. It's funny, I certainly consider myself a huge fast mover fan and I love A2A but I think I actually find myself hoping we get the ground attack variant of the Viggen more than the interceptor! After all, the interceptor field isn't far behind the trainer field when it comes to being crowded! What with the MiG 21 and M2000 already out or close to it, and the F-5 in the pipe
