Then make liveries for all known aircraft...but, more importantly...make the F4U-1A...
-
I believe the actual type Boyington flew was the F4U-1A with the two rail canopy, non-water cooled R2800, and possibly a modified (removed) arrester hook. Vought F4U-1A Corsair, BuNo 17883, of Gregory "Pappy" Boyington, the commander of VMF-214, Vella Lavella end of 1943 Vella Lavella was occupied by the Empire of Japan in the early stages of the Pacific War. The Land Battle of Vella Lavella was fought between Allied and Japanese forces from 15 August to 6 October 1943. After a landing at Barakoma on 15 August, American troops advanced along the coasts, pushing the Japanese north. In September, New Zealand troops took over from the Americans and they continued to advance across the island, hemming in the small Japanese garrison consisting of 250 Japanese personnel, who were a mix of soldiers evacuated from New Georgia and sailors who had been stranded on the island,[2] along the north coast. On 6 October, the Japanese began an evacuation operation to withdraw the remaining troops, during which the Naval Battle of Vella Lavella was fought. Following the capture of the island, the Allies developed it into an important airbase that was used in the reduction of the main Japanese base at Rabaul. Subsequently, Barakoma Airfield on Vella Lavella was the home base for VMF-214, the "Black Sheep", led by Gregory "Pappy" Boyington.[3]

I purchased a pair of VR-Rock inserts back in April 2025 and never received them even after several email exchanges and promises they would expedite them to me...I fear VR-Rock has become an untrustworthy scam company...So, be warned!

I have the Moza force feed back joystick setup and I want to know if native support exists in DCS for each aircraft, or does it depend solely on the Moza profile? For example, when I fly the F-4, it seems to have native support, but the Moza Profile creates a totally different feel. What's really going on here?

It seems that ships that have "Engage Air Weapons" set to ON don't defend against missile attacks until after they've been struck. This seems wrong to me, since I would think that the inbound missiles would already be considered an attack, unlike manned aircraft that can fly around the ship without attacking. The missiles will always attempt to strike the target and would be considered attacking even before they hit, so the ship would try to destroy them as soon as it sees them, not after they strike the ship. Please consider changing this feature, so they would defend against an attack of this type before getting hit... F-4E Anderson AB Training.miz

After 5/5/25 update, there's no sidewinder growl...

Chinese H-6J & YJ-83K Cruise Missiles!
mytai01 replied to mytai01's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Not only that it's the ship borne type, but, I think the 3D model is painted like a training round instead of a live one. -
The instructions say that you can cancel CAGE mode by turning the Weapons Selector Knob to the "B" position. However, when I do that the RIO stays in the 5 mile radar range. I don't have any targets locked or focused on. I still have potential threats out over 50 miles, but RIO still stays at the 5 mile range and never goes back to 50...

Whatever the movement is called, it would be nice to see modelled at some point in the sim...
-
I wasn't talking about the rudder movement, I was talking about the shaking that can be observed at the tips of the tails.
-
Jester won't change the radar scan when commanded. If he's at a 5 mile scan and you tell him to scan 50 wide, even after cycling to the "B" position and back, he doesn't do anything.

I've discovered that the DCS World window doesn't automatically present on top of the Mixed Reality Portal on the windows desktop, and because of that, the mouse cursor won't move with the VR headset on my head. I have to manually click the DCS World window to the front position to fix the situation. I think that if your programmers forced DCS to load on the desktop as the highest priority window, the problem would be solved.

Which file is the current DCS World? I have DCS World (black icon) and DCS World MT (orange icon)?

I've seen a video of this flutter on the F-14, as well... It probably happens on all twin tail aircraft.

Observe the tail flutter as the F-15 pitches up... https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1APWQHT9aU/

Any chance we will one day get VR support ?

I've been playing it in VR, but it needs love for sure... -
Trim not working on certain FC3 planes
mytai01 replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flaming Cliffs Bugs & Problems
I just played the FC3 Su-27, and the trim is completely broken. I have my trim bound to my HOTAS hat and it indicates that it's bound, but it doesn't do anything in game. Even the keyboard can't make the trim function. -
Will the full fidelity module be able to play the current F-15C Campaigns?

However, I'm now in a retirement home and can't keep my shorts clean anymore... I'll be moving to Hospice soon... It is a much better quality sound experience (louder and baser) than the onboard sound that comes with the Pimax Light...worth it, but Pimax needs to get their act together with shipping and tracking. I'm doubtful that China knows with good tracking information looks like...definitely not FedEx, UPS, or USPS grade performance...China's performance is not close to first world performance...sorry...it's true.
-
Things in DCS are way cool with all this gear!
-
...For more things to go wrong. That's why it's better to have a headset that has fewer features that can break. I'm hopeful that Pimax will only improve their products and their service!

Did the camel that you sent my package on get lost, or die on the trail of tears? Did you send it on a slow boat from China, or on a small plane without enough gas to cross the ocean? The United States Postal Service (tracking number: 420967669261290363290403186125) is holding a memorial ceremony for this package, lost to unknown circumstances, and most likely never to be seen again… I’ve seen carrier pigeons fly faster than this! I’m planning to retire at 70 for the maximum benefits package…Just for your planning purposes, of course.

If you want to have more than enough storage for DCS, get a 4 terabyte SSD just for DCS. This is enough to last for a few years before you start running out of space. Currently, the whole game is a little more than 1 terabyte. You should be able to find a Samsung SSD for about $300 US. I bought mine recently from B&H.
