  1. However, I'm now in a retirement home and can't keep my shorts clean anymore... I'll be moving to Hospice soon... It is a much better quality sound experience (louder and baser) than the onboard sound that comes with the Pimax Light...worth it, but Pimax needs to get their act together with shipping and tracking. I'm doubtful that China knows with good tracking information looks like...definitely not FedEx, UPS, or USPS grade performance...China's performance is not close to first world performance...sorry...it's true.
  2. Things in DCS are way cool with all this gear!
  3. ...For more things to go wrong. That's why it's better to have a headset that has fewer features that can break. I'm hopeful that Pimax will only improve their products and their service!
  4. Did the camel that you sent my package on get lost, or die on the trail of tears? Did you send it on a slow boat from China, or on a small plane without enough gas to cross the ocean? The United States Postal Service (tracking number: 420967669261290363290403186125) is holding a memorial ceremony for this package, lost to unknown circumstances, and most likely never to be seen again… I’ve seen carrier pigeons fly faster than this! I’m planning to retire at 70 for the maximum benefits package…Just for your planning purposes, of course.
  5. If you want to have more than enough storage for DCS, get a 4 terabyte SSD just for DCS. This is enough to last for a few years before you start running out of space. Currently, the whole game is a little more than 1 terabyte. You should be able to find a Samsung SSD for about $300 US. I bought mine recently from B&H.
  6. I wish someone could compare the FFBeast with the AB9, including the purchase and shipping experience.
  7. This video has awesome sound and video quality. It shows things that could have use in continuing development of the DCS module. Little details are revealed about the A model Tomcat, including nose wheel steering, flap setting for takeoff, how the oleo compresses when brakes are used and power is applied for takeoff, the launch bar rattles like it's going to fall off, and of course the awesome sound of the TF30's. Also, there's bonus scenes of an A-6 Intruder! This video should be very useful in providing operational and sound information that is missing in the module...
  8. Try uninstalling the software and hardware and reboot your system and reinstalling everything. Honestly, you don't know if it's your system or the hardware. If this doesn't work, try installing on another system, even a friends...
  9. Thrust master Warthog & F18 stick, and Virpil sticks all should fit AB9.
  10. Which modules have specific support for force feedback and which do not, or they only have generic support?
  11. Waiting to see how this goes...
  12. I ordered them Order PM5152165 Confirmed December 3 , they supposedly sent them (Super Sketchy shipping method: 4PX/CNE/Cainiao, CNE LZ124995242CN), and they sent them back without ever arriving. Supposedly, they actually arrived at my home town, and it was out for delivery by some unknown entity! This was the result... Status: Exception Dec 19th 2024 09:52 am Your package has been successfully returned to sender No explanation offered! You'd have better service from a Mexican drug cartel than from Pimax! These people are making basic business mistakes. They have piss poor communications, piss poor order tracking, and fail to deliver products. They are not up to professional business standards at all! Believe me, I wouldn't post this here if I were able to communicate with them. There's something very sketchy going on with Pimax. I got my Crystal Light, but I still think they are a somewhat sketchy company...just because of how badly they operate. I want them to succeed, but they must do much better than this...They will fail as a business if they don't!
  13. I want to say that I now have a force feed joystick to replace my TM Warthog, and the difference it has made on playing DCS is every bit as revolutionary as going from a monitor to VR headset. Every aircraft becomes a totally new one with new flight characteristics and provides a new experience. I highly recommend going to force feedback and VR.
  14. I'm only talking about Moza profiles because that's what I have. Obviously, there are limitations because the forces could be as high as 80 pounds of force depending on type aircraft and trim. But, that's why I'd want someone with a clue to do the profiles. Moza would have to hire pilots to help them, I guess. At least do the best they can. It's better than nothing.
  15. It would be nice if different real world pilots could make profiles that reflect the different aircraft in DCS as they feel in real life...
  16. You're going through the same thing I did. It'll come.
  17. I just discovered you also have to set up DCS using the "Game List" on the right side of the software window. Once you do that, then DCS will really start communicating with the Moza. Don't forget to select force feedback in DCS settings.
  18. It takes longer than what they say. Be patient. It'll come...
  19. Moza & Pimax software run on their own, completely separate from DCS. You'll have to turn them both on and choose the settings you want before starting DCS. Moza will show up as two separate columns in the axis. You'll figure out which one works. One important thing I figured out was not to judge the controller until you fly without any wind or turbulence. You won't be able to tell how stable the controller is.
  20. I have studio lights aimed at my head. I'm not using a lighthouse unit, just the headset tracking.
  21. I do have occasional issues where the view falls behind the movement of the aircraft. I never had this with my G2. The G2 was always locked tight...
  22. Is the Pimax Lighthouse system compatible with standalone DCS? I'm hoping this system will eliminate the occasional loss of sync I'm experiencing during play...
  23. No, I didn't do that. I didn't have to go through SteamVR at all. Once I hit the big button for PimaxVR I just had to fire up Pimax Play and DCS and it worked.
  24. After 3 DAYS of struggling to figure out what the heck I needed to do to get standalone DCS working on the Pimax, and with no clear understanding of what I needed to do, I finally tried something that took me from being stuck on the "Moon Scene" to seeing the DCS in game GUI... The offender was this page of the menu: Apparently, the critical move was to hit the oval button that says: "SET PIMAX OPENXR AS OPENXR RUNTIME." That one move was not made crystal clear to me on anything I watched, on YouTube, or read anywhere! This one point needs to be pounded home hard! If you don't hit that button...you're not going anywhere on standalone DCS!
  25. I've already gone through the Rift/Rift S/Reverb G2, and now I'm upgrading to the Crystal Light. I've got an Intel i9 x64gb ram, RTX 3090 rig.
