Thank you blooze...any suggestions on setting up a good default view?

HI guys, I've been playing around with moving the camera to try and get a better default starting view in the A-10c cockpit and then saving it as the snap view. Unfortunately I seem to have gotten it all screwed up and seems way zoomed out. Is there a way to reset the default cockpit camera view? Or any good view setups out there as a starting point? Tried running campaign in a-10c and wouldn't put me in cockpit. I'll try again. Is there a way to prove if they are activated properly?

Hi guys, I'm embarrassed by the question I have to ask. I had all my modules installed and activated in both the beta and alpha releases. I just downloaded the new 1.5.2 stable release. This is a new computer I built right when 2.0 alpha got released so I never had 1.2.6 installed on this rig. I have all the modules installed but can't seem to activate them. In the past when I've started DCS it's asked me one by one for the serial numbers. But that's not happening. Any advice on how to remedy this? Or reactivate the activation process for the modules? Well I love your missions Terry...keep up the amazing work. Big thank you from all of us. I have all the modules but am still only marginally proficient at the A-10c. Look forward to trying your missions for the other birds.

Hi Terry, Thanks for the updated campaigns. Are there updates to the practice missions as well? I don't see them on the DCS site. And the ones on Maple Flags appear to be the old ones?

Looking for some help or advice with wingmen. When I give an attack order I'll get a copy or affirmative. Wingman makes attack run but never attacks. I'm using 1.5 so not sure if it's a bug or long standing issue. Are there certain parameters that must be met? Any help appreciated. I always run out of munitions and my wingman has a full load.

Anyone else having trouble getting your wingman to attack anyone? I give the order, he says roger and then never attacks. I run out of weapons on this mission and my wingman ends with a full payload (if he doesn't get taken out first).

Thanks for all the input guys. I did lower HOF to 1200 but maybe I should lower it to tighten up the blast. I've never played with RPM so maybe I'll give that a go. I also suspect maybe I wasn't accounting enough for wind. Maybe that with the high HOF was blowing the bomblets way off the mark. I agree it seems like overkill for just 4 infantry men. I was just following JTAC request which I know I can ignore if need be. In the end I had to take them out with guns.

all great suggestions...I thought the CBU would be a good choice...in fact its what the JTAC calls for but they seem to suck

Hi guys, any suggestions on this? Specifically I've been flying the Overhead mission and I find the ground troops nearly impossible to kill. I get the JTAC coordinates, see a cluster of 4 men in town....Drop a CBU 87 and maybe one dies. I end up doing innumerable runs into the area firing HEI rounds and rockets haphazardly into the area as the guys are impossible to see on run in. And then when there are troops in the forest, forget it. I would have thought dropping a cluster bomb into the area the JTAC calls in would do the trick but I never seem to succeed. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Anyone running into an issue with DCS freezing after leaving a mission and quiting to the debrief screen? Happened a couple times to me. Stats and log seem to register but I have to Control/Alt/Delete and end DCS and reload.

Okay so since I have the licensed version, and just upgraded to the new beta 3 it should start recording DCS 1.5?

Anyone tried or had any issues with the three A-10 c Campaigns in the beta 1.5?

Curious how to setup Tacview to record the new open beta 1.5 flights? It automatically records my flights in 1.2.16 but when I went to open a flight on the 1.5 beta I can't find them. Do I need to point Tacview somewhere> Thanks, Jason

Can someone tell me is it possible to port your current pilot log over into beta? Along with a Maple Flag campaign I currently have in progress? If so where do I find those files specifically? I can't seem to locate them in my saved games folder DCSWORLD. Some suggested I just copy the entire Saved games folder but I'd rather not do that as I imagine many of the config setting are new or different than the 1.2 version. Thanks, Jason

Is this the correct beta guys? On the DCS beta page...DCS_World_OpenBeta_5.exe. Or is this the same old beta thats been there?

Thanks for the advice guys! BSS I've heard its a good idea to run in parallel in case the beta has some major bugs...Just a temporary thing.

Hi guys, I was curious, this is the first time I am gonna run a beta parallel to the current version. Is it possible to copy or import my current pilot/pilot log to the new beta install when it is released? I know I have to redo inputs, reinstall missions and kneeboards etc. Also is there any way to continue a campaign in progress or does that need to be restarted with the beta install? Exciting news for sure. Quick question guys, I've recently migrated away from STEAM and become a big boy using the direct ED version of DCS. I plan on installing the beta 1.5 version alongside my current DCS. This will be the first time I've had parallel beta and current versions. Can anyone tell me, will this require me to have to install all my 3rd party missions (i.e. Maple Flag), custom kneeboards and inputs all over again into the beta? Thanks in advance. Jason

Hi Sabre, just want to say thanks for your amazing campaigns. Learning so much. I have a question about the flare illumination campaign mission. I've run it a few times and seem to be illuminating the targets properly but keep failing. I know at one point one of the DCS updates broke the triggers but thought that was resolved? Any guidance greatly appreciated. Cheers Jason
