I am having an issue where I select and lock a target. However, I have to still use the rudder to align the piper. I'm getting lots of bounciness - I have all 4 stabilizers on - is it suppose to be bouncing all over with just a slight touch of rudder ??

Su27 - A complete guide to combat employment and tactics
USA_Recon replied to Santi871's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Thank you, perfect timing for me as I've started flying red on buddyspike. This is especially helpful where AIM120 and R77/R27ET's are banned -
oooh... now we just need this integrated into my SRS overlay . :)

I'm fairly new to DCS , and I see posts on FC4. Is there an official link/news that has the details around what FC4 will have in it/possible beta release date ? Also, I realize it's to take the clickable aircraft and make them like FC3 aircraft, is there any efforts to convert the F15, Su27, etc... to clickable cockpits ? Thanks in advance - love DCS!!!

ech product question - multiple devices
USA_Recon replied to USA_Recon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thank you - for some reason (maybe going back to older sims) I had thought setting up as one was advantageous. I got the same response back yesterday from ch products recommending I just use direct mode (assuming ch software, which isn't required). I did that and I have much better binding experience now. Thanks for your helpful response! -
ech product question - multiple devices
USA_Recon posted a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have the stick, throttle, and rudder, and I use the ch products software. I have for many years used the 'combined' feature - where it merges them all to be seen as one stick. I think that might actually be causing me issues (ie. 32 button limits). Anyone else using this setup ? How do you manage your controllers ? -
I'm unable to bind the stick - would like to consider using it for slewing the radar. Anyone else able to bind the hat switch/stick on the ch throttle ?

Swaying all over the runway on take off.
USA_Recon replied to LtMacGowan's topic in F-15C for DCS World
I am swerving left without doing anything, what is the best way to make it just go straight - any brake or rudder input and it swerves all over the place ? -
Ok, makes sense - I was not getting the 'box' around the target so I was unable to fire . Thank you

I'm new, learning the F15, when I encounter the Mig29, I'm able to lock him, but when I do - I get the 'JAM' ie JAM R 23.5 2 MIN How do you counter this jam ? Thanks!

Have you tried the spitfire canopy reflection mod ?

Couple of things 1. website - so there is an FAQ, but no links to it - wondering if you guys could update the menu bar to show all the info 2. is there any intent to have a cycling of missions ? Would be great to have it cycle either on mission completion or every 2-3 hours at least. Would be great to have some new targets, etc... 3. bases. any chance we can add some more actives, might help prevent enemy camping over a base (ie. Sunday), and speaking of, how about some more deadly flak over airbases, might deter the vulchers . :) Thanks, hope this server can grow, it's a fun set - I think #2 would help tremendously!

Thanks!

I have developed a bad habit in past sims of coming in low to bomb with bomb delays/fuses so I'm struggling with it now. Anyone have any advice on a technique that works for them ? Thanks!

Question (it's a 199 paged thread...) I am wanting to try this labels out what the server has offline, what rgb color is the server using - or better yet, can you share your labels.lua file ?

I am loving the Spitfire, now just need some more targets on Burning WW2 Server :)
-
WW2-Combined-Arms - salivating - can't wait! Huge potential still for WW2, flew the Spitfire last night on Burning Skies - it's a wonderful plane and Normandy is coming along well. This marks the only good realistic high fidelity WW2 flight sim on the market, now it's just a matter of continual release of content. The future is bright. Now we just need more DCS WW2 pilots joining the servers, as when that happens and other pilots see that grow it, more will come One thing that would really help is some sort of 'WW2 package', buying just one AC, Normandy, and assets - the price point combined will scare people off (but if they were able to see how well the WW2 birds are, they wouldn't care... but that is a different point!)

[REPORTED] Spitfire - strange engine failure
USA_Recon replied to Reflected's topic in Bugs and Problems
So, the issue has been gone since I turn on the fuel pump switch (left side under the elevator trim), after the plane is started up. I haven't had the cool down since. Thank BuzZoo - I see that now (btw, that link didn't work, but this does https://www.mudspike.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/DCS-Spitfire-Mk-IX-Guide.pdf ) -

[REPORTED] Spitfire - strange engine failure

Some dumb questions, but I'm learning. How do you 'dilute regularly' ? Not sure what this mean. Also in this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=179160 As Sokol1_br notes, the fuel boost pump can be switched ON briefly instead of using the wobble pump during the start-up sequence, but must be switched OFF again before start-up. Once the engine is running and adequate fuel pressure is confirmed, the boost pump should be switched ON again, and left on for the remainder of the flight. Again, the FM is weak in this regard." Is that what you are referring to Art-J when you say "so I stopped bothering with it at all and just flew with booster pump on instead" For clarification that (fuel boost pump) is the switch under the elevator trimmer ? I searched the manual and had no hits for 'fuel boost pump' -
Coolant drops under 60 C and engine dies
USA_Recon replied to USA_Recon's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Thank you -
I believe my issue is that my engine is overcooled, as the coolant temp in flights goes below 60C. This is 2650 rpm and less than psi +8 - gradual climb, it's happen to me several times and I'm not quite sure what I am doing wrong ?

GTX 1070 is awesome for DCS World 2.0
USA_Recon replied to Viperrm64's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just upgraded to the 1070 (nvidia founters, 8gb). Very nice. Several upgrades helped me: 1. moved to SSD 500GB Crucial 2. upgraded from 4GB to 20gb (DDR3 still) my CPU is i7 2500 (3.40GHz) - Sandy Bridge 32nm
