  1. I'll give it a go, my current problem is an attack from the water on anapa so not much in the way of cover.
  2. I hadn't tried either of those yet, won't the Vikhrs just outrange any of the manpads or AAA?
  3. I set up a test mission with 8 helicopters (4 x Ka50 & 4 x Mi-28 ) inbound to Anapa from out over the water. I set up an SA-11 site, HAWK site, Patriot Battery. In total 32 missiles. I gradually adjusted the skill levels involved until I finally ended up with helos at lowest skill, AA at highest. Results? After a steady barrage, the SAMs run out of missiles after knocking out maybe half of the helicopters, and those are the ones that are dumb enough to fly in a straight line at the missile. Basically any time a helo manuevers a little bit, the missile will plunge into the water or spontaneously explode. I finally added in 4 Chapparal trucks which helped knock out maybe 1 or 2 more. In any event at least 2-4 of the helicopters make it through. What in the world are you supposed to defend an airbase with against helicopters? They are like magical ninja's against SAM's and they don't even have terrain masking on their side.

A) I was not rushing to cry, merely trying to point out that the endless red whining is a bit unfounded at times, I have been on all day and there was maybe 1/2 a session where it was Blue outnumbering Red, the rest has either been red almost double, or about even. I will make it a point to say that any time it is somewhat even Blue struggles to gain any ground what so ever (I argue that we have way more retards on blue for sure). That's good on Red, wish we could muster the CAP that Red can instead of useless people wandering the map on sightseeing flights. B) You don't need to lecture me on startup. I fly almost all modules, if fact I prefer the Mirage in CAP because it takes 1/2 the time to start up as the -15. If you are aligning the INS in mirage you are either hardcore for realism or dumb that you didn't uncheck that box in your menu (either way not my fault). I really wasn't complaining about the F-15 fuel time I totally understand the reason it's like that. It was more of an satirical comment.
  6. WAAAAA too many blue players! Red has no chance! Sorry, I had nothing better to do in the 7 minutes it takes to put gas in my F-15. Off to die to a red wall of CAP.

  8. If balancing is the reason ill buy the enhanced missiles, but if unlimited su33 lives are real, blue will likely never move further north than Sochi.
  9. I was one who said good fight. There was a furball that was 3v3 and it was a good fight. I was not commenting on the overall server balance. Take your butt hurt elsewhere.
  10. Re-posted from BS forums: So.... Latley there has been a bug in the mission. The SU33s have unlimited lives, as well as all the type of weapons, ETs and ERs are getting over used. Due to this, as soon as the Reds get low on life, they switch to SU33, where even if they die it does not count as a loss, as well as they get all the missiles. This create a major uneven and unfair advantage to red team. Please, fix this bug, or give F15s unlimited lives as well as AMRAAMs. Thank you.
  11. I agree, dynamic weather would be fun and add a little challenge, especially for the rotor heads. Did we ever figure out if they are going to fix AI fighters any time soon?
  12. I will tag along and say that a function to lock markers in multiplayer would be nice, or at least give a warning that it will delete the marker for ALL players. Frustrating to have people delete them when using for coordination.
  13. Not sure if this has been mentioned in this post, but any chance we could get an update that lowers default microphone boost by like 50% ? Im tired of endless radio checks that blow my ears out. Love SR in general though!
  14. So I did all that, put the modified default.lua in the NVG mod folder, enabled with JSGME and now it clears all the keyboard bindings, and wont even let me click on them in "adjust controls" to re-bind them. Strange.
  15. Ok so I removed the mod, it's working as advertised now. I'll try your suggestion now Shadow to see if I can get it playing nice with the mod.
  16. I've created a cold start scenario and it still doesn't work. I am using the NVG mod, which reset the keyboard bindings lua. Would that have anything to do with it? When I go into bindings the keys for laser code change are blank, and it won't let me bind anything to the keyboard for those. Is that different than default?
  17. So I'm having trouble setting the code, I'd like it on 1112 for Blue Flag JTAC missions. I have my engine shut off, (do I need ground power/batter switch on or off?) and I open Kneeboard (shift+K). I see the commands there, Ralt + Rshift + 0,9,- . When I hold Rshift + Ralt + 9 (or any of the others) nothing happens. Laser code says "1". What am I missing?
  18. Can I get a quick critique on this AAR track, is it bugged or do I just really suck at it? I have occasional success making contact, starting to take fuel, but I usually fall off the back of the boom, only to be stabbed in the face the next time I try to hook up. It's making practicing kind of discouraging... P.S. we need a KC-135 module so players can play boom operator mini-game :D AR fail.trk
  19. Yeah I got that, but its a little cumbersome to place a unit, then select country, then guess if an a/c is represented, then go to payload, etc. It'd be nice to just be able to see that yes, an Israeli F-15 has a skin, or no, Egypt does not have F-4's in this game...
  20. Apologies if this has been covered, I tried a search. I notice when browsing the encyclopedia it seems to seemingly select a random skin for a given aircraft. Is there a way to just cycle the skins? Ideally, I'd like to see a list of all the skins for non controllable aircraft, for static placement at Nellis, and I'd rather know what I'm plopping instead of trial and error. Thanks for any ideas.

  22. As a total noob, and hopefully this has something to do with the RWR, is there supposed to be some kind of warning when someone shoots a missile at me? I was doing some 1v1 against AI, and they fire an AIM-9 straight at my nose. Basically I'm just flying along and explode without warning. The only way I have a chance is replaying the mission and spam flares until I merge with them.
  23. Ah yeah, that totally works now, was kind of wondering what those x/x commands were for. Thanks a million for the pointing in the right direction. I'm new to the warthog and DCS really. Everyone was making it seem like you just dropped the file in and it was all done. I guess I was a little spoiled by plugging in the Warthog and the DCS A-10 just worked without having to bind anything. Thanks again.
  24. OK so I've uninstalled the F-5, deleted config files, reinstalled, installed this new LUA file. I Have the HOTAS- Thrustmaster column in the DCS config screen, but nothing is bound (except a few view commands). I now need to manually bind the switches right? How do I bind the middle position on the flap lever and switch? It doesn't recognize the middle position as a button press.
