  1. Yes it does and unfortunately openxr will run worse in my system for some reason. Thats how it works with with normal EXE but with MT it always starts with openxr. Press CTRL+F2 in game to check (openxr settings menu will open).
  2. How do you start MT with OVR?
  3. Ok. Did you run dcs with openxr before update?
  4. Anyone else have problem with MT update & rift? As i wrote in other thread MT built seems to start with openxr only and that will cause worse performance at least for me. Default beta exe works like should.
  5. Yes..hopefully someone will figure out if it's possible. Fortunately "normal" version still works without openxr and runs better after update but would really love to get MT running.
  6. MT update seems to launching my game with openxr. How to prevent that? I want to launch it with oculus app as openxr seems to running worse for me (still using old rift).
  7. Great video, thanks for sharing. Looks like you guys are having tons of fun there, i'm jealous.
  8. Great news indeed, HF8 is a lot cheaper (almost half) than jetpad in here currently.
  9. Guys, i can tell you this will be worth of waiting. It will totally facelifts the old D9 model. Details are awesome no matter how close you will be looking at it.
  10. I think part of the "problem" with dcs a8 cockpit is the small error in 3d model. Top panel over gauges was tapered to backwards while in dcs it's same widt both in front and back. Result is few centimeters too wide top part of panel and cushion. Not big error but still noticeable as it's in front of our eyes. I suck at explaining so check from the screens i add.
  11. New screens looks great and details are awesome. If only colours would be different. Thing is, when i see screen from a normandy 2.0 map i can tell in a nanosecond it's from a game and not real pic. Thats not a case with fs2020 for example. And all that simply because cartoonish greens used on normandy map. I'm going to buy it and enjoy it a lot, but every time when i switch from FS to DCS normandy colors will hurt a bit...
  12. Wing bottoms looks about to perfect for my eye. I would not dull it down much personally, as even surface there didn't have mirror polish, there is certain amount of gloss in metal areas and If it's too dull it will looks like gray paint. Also Rlm paints, while being matt, tend to have semi-gloss finish when fresh. There was some differences between different colors though, for example rlm82 bright version is known to still have semi-gloss finish even when found years after war but grays are known to have more matt finish even when fresh. So i think your matt degree is there is pretty much in the ball park. Agree about walking areas metal being too glossy at the moment.
  13. Beautiful work mate. She'll be stunning.
  14. I know the feeling, late-war colors of luftwaffe is such an mess And there is still a lot of mysteries left and theories to prove...anyways, here's quick screen from the book. Edit, looking from my phone that looks way too dark, ill take another pic tomorrow
  15. RLM 02 or FS 26373 light grey for late ones according to Crandall's book. Late yellow-green rlm 76 and rlm 99 are two different colors, rlm 99 was primer used for inside of fuselage (engine cowlings for example).
  16. RIP one of the last LW eagles.
  17. I agree, weathered looks is way to go for late war, it's just thin line to not overdo the effects. But after your latest adjustments it looks already very good, i'm sure it will be just great once finished.
  18. Looking really good so far. But i agree, bottom is too weathered especially under wings...maybe that level is ok for underside of the engine, as those engines were very leaky. I would also tone chipping littlebit down, remembering these were in use only few months at max. But i'm sure you'll find happy medium after some tuning.
  19. Well i don't know if that particular picture is edited or not, however as said there is quite lot of other pics and relics left to show brown version so personally i have no reason to not to believe that brown version of rlm 81 existed. But yes, always intersting topic to discuss and compare opinions about. Yep, wings were often built by different subcontractor so they used what colours they had in hands so result is often interesting combo. Grays 75 or 76 combined to 81 or 82, etc etc. Sometimes good old 74/75 combo too. Unfortunately i don't own that wing fairing but i have saved pics from other forums (large scale planes iirc), however there was couple of more pics from it:
  20. The picture in my post is from "Real colors of ww2 aircraft", latest research results of Maciej Góralczyk, Gerald T. Högl, Jürgen Kiroff, Nicholas Millman and Mikhail V. Orlov. Released by AK interactive, really well done book for anyone interested in topic. I have to disagree about lack of evidence of brown rlm 81, there is actually quite many color pics and parts left from aircraft, here is couple of examples from other forums: Fw 190 stab fairing Nice pic of Do-335 That's true, rlm 83 was indeed dark blue and was never used in late-war fighters. I would also add rlm 70 and rlm 74 to list of possible colors as even those were cancelled officially the avaiable stocks was used so even some quite late machines could wear them (but more commonly on 109's than FW's). No official paint diagram is found for D9 so far, but for there is one for Ta 152 from nov. 1944 and colors listed there are indeed "farbton 81/82/76" So in a nutshell, colors to use for accurate late-war scheme: RLM 76 (two versions, official light blue/grey and green/yellow late variant) RLM 81 (three versions as mentioned above posts) RLM 82 (also at least three versions known but all are clearly green unlike rlm81, main difference being brightness of the color)
  21. I have high hopes for "Masters of the air" series. We'll see... Would also love to see some realistic ww2 fighter movie..."Dark blue world " got some nicely done flight scenes, "Devotion" looks okayish too based on trailer altought not ww2 but korean war.
  22. Nothin is simple and straightforward in world of paints, especially luftwaffe late-war ones. Not to even mention how much colour shade can change depending on how many layers was painted etc. So i'd say Doughguy's version of rlm 81 is very close to v.3 for example.
  23. Are you sure, "red tails" is well known for being highly realistic movie To be honest it must be one of the worst aviation movie ever done
  24. This topic is discussed many times already. Cockpit color in dcs is way too light for any rlm 66 version and does not resembles that color well by any means. I have sit in the cockpit of real 109 and when canopy is closed the cockpit is very dark. Therefore official repaint would be much needed and appreciated.
  25. While those would be nice to have, one big downside with AS version is that two quite different 3d models would needed. Most simple way to have early and late version would be possibly; -G6 (early canopy with metal head armor or galland panzer) -G6/MW50 (Erla canopy and late tall tail) That way we could have G6's from 1943 to '45, with different performance but minimal external work/differences needed in 3d model. Both could have same usually installed rüstsätzes available (R1; ETC 500 rack, R3; droptank, R6; Mg 151 wing cannons for example) Maybe U4/MK 108 but since K4 have it already i think having only MG 151 as available engine cannon would be just fine, again to simplify the work needed.
