  1. How about "heavy stuka", Ju 88 then :D It's my favourite plane in TF CloD, god that bird would be so awesome with DCS fidelity...
  2. Well, most of the facts can be found here for example: http://rajajoki.com/torjunta.htm :)
  3. It was also day when Russians started their last massive attack against Finland in karelian isthmus - sorry for off-topic. :)
  4. Somehow i feel sad for Luthier. Hopefully he get third change somewhere...great to hear project still continues and cockpit shots looks awesome!
  5. [quote=DavidRed;2079454 his behaviour would have to be tolerated, if there wasnt updates and communication promised within the kickstarter...but he did promise it..thats just not acceptable.i know my complaint wont cause any difference, but where should i complain and ask for the things i was promised if not here... Totally agreed there. As said many times already, it would take less than 5 minutes to write update once in week, there's no need to have big news or new screens in every update.
  6. That's of course possible. We used modern paints. Here she is:
  7. I think 30-50 pounds would be closer on average sized ww2 fighter. Largest plane i've painted is DC-2 and IIRC paint amount used was about 50 litres. That would equal close to ~50 kg's = 110 pounds. And that includes two kind of primers and two coat of paint.
  8. Actually japanese were first to use silver planes (and Kawasakis looks great in silver), tought most of the received some kind of camo in units. So it's definitely NOT for allies only :chair: :megalol:
  9. Great! I guess Klaus Plasa will still be the pilot?
  10. Yeah, unfortunately they are quite pricey today. I'm glad i bought mine before they were sold out :) However Wolowski's books are cheap at ebay at the moment.
  11. If you want accurate paint schemes for K4, best book available is JaPo's "Messerschmitt Bf 109 K - Camouflage & Markings". Other pretty good one is Wolowski's "Bf 109 Late versions camouflage & Markings". Almost all older books are pretty horrible with paintjobs...like your first image shows :music_whistling: Of course K4 (or any 109) looks best with painted, germas really had best looking camouflages but silver would be nice "fun skin" anyways in my opinion.
  12. Silver it is. All it would need is white spinner with black spiral and blades, white late style balkenkreuz's, black or white wing tips and band to frame. Perfekt!
  13. It's EADS's ex-Buchon, converted to static 109 G2. And it looks gooood  I'm sure K4 in all-silver would look even better...
  14. Ah, they finally got that updated. Thanks for sharing! I hope they'll also release onboard videos from D-FWME as they kinda promised :) Btw, here's another one from Evergreen G10: http://www.airspacemag.com/panorama/messerschmitt-bf-109g-10-gustav-180947945/ Hate those horrible (and wrong) colours they have painted it tought...
  15. Thats sad sight indeed but it's the civils down in earth who did suffered the most after all.
  16. Yep, it definitely would give big boost to game...i personally wish there will be JU 88 some day. Gotta love that bird! But any bomber would be great for sure.
  17. Ok, thanks. I should read his book too. Let me know if you find anyone who refused to use it in F-K series...
  18. Any sources? I've read pretty much all top german (and finnish) 109 aces books available and never read anyone would have done that.
  19. Indeed, like you said, we are talking about 40's planes and they all sure are handfull to inexperienced pilots. Here are some more finnish pilots comments to those who are interested. (they are about G2/6 but should be true with K4 too in most cases.) "Mersu" is finnish nickname to Messerschmitt, same nickname is used with Mercedes-benz cars.
  20. It does make sense indeed, because 109 really was one of the easiest ww2 fighter to fly. No nasty stall behavior, no snapping, automated coolers/prop pitch etc. Take-off and landing are different thing tought, but not too hard if you know what to do.
  21. Great progress, thanks for update!
  22. Awesome! And makes me kinda sad that i didn't choose alpha access but then again, i wan't that _perfect_ flightmodel afterall
  23. Yep, good to see some progress finally :)
