  1. Just watched video first time with proper sounds (logitech g35 headset) and unfortunately i must say i'm not impressed with interior sounds . Doesen't sounds like DB 605 at all. Luckily we have some talented sound modders aboard... Other than that it all looks very promising!

  3. Another theory is that they were never installed to all K4's, especially early ones. They were only installed when available, hence most of the later ones had them on. But who knows...
  4. Noup, "Black 6" is original G2. Another 109 in that video, "Black 2" is ex-buchon converted to G10.

  8. By the way, wich FB pages you found these? Because i can't find screens from Eagle Dynamics or DCS world pages?

Well i do agree here and i also wish it will be removable in future, what i meant is that it is not that urgent issue for us who use headtracking especially because it only blocks prop clock (not really needed as long as automatics work) and fuel gauge (rarely issue on game, critical in real life tought).
  10. Personally i don't care too much about flare gun as i use TiR, and those who doesen't: do yourself favor and get some kind of head tracking system now! You won't regret it. In my opinion it is _essential_ with DCS, no way i would fly without it anymore. Not to mention immersion it adds.

  15. http://www.virtualpilots.fi/feature/articles/109myths/ Good place to read lots of real life experiences of 109 features like take-off, landings etc. Most of them are about G2-G6 models (finnish pilots) but K should be not that much different because even it had more power it also got some updates like tall tail/ rudder, tall tailwheel, wider wheels etc. And there was almost zero difference at TO and landing qualities between G (especially G2) and F.

  18. No, only you read it that way because you're such hopeless pony fanboi ;) Just joking. I wrote it because mustang was also heavy on controls, not as much as 109, but still heavy, especially at higher speeds. Believe it or not. Now this is what i call exaggeration. It was heavy, but fully manouverable at 600kph. None of the ww2 pilots were exactly body builders and they had no problem to control it even much higher speed that that. Stifness was only real problem when you entered deep, long dive and speed increased well over 750km/h. I have read that and dozens on finnish and german 109 pilots reports and diaries.
  19. Yes it was. I never said it was so heavy that it wasn't possible to pull the stick to overcome g limits or anything, but it was heavy on controls. Of course everything is relative.   21. Mustang was also suffering heavy controls at high speeds, tought not as much as 109.
  22. Not really, JU 88 and it's variants (188 etc) were quite widely used 'till end of war.

I really hope DCS K4 will have DB sounds properly done...:)
  25. Actually i feel completely other way round - i love TO and landings & ground handling in DCS, best i've ever experienced in sim. In BOS these feels somehow too easy to my taste.
