Some books even say that all K4's were delivered with MG 151/20 wing cannons. I think i've never seen any pictures of K4 with wing cannons tought.

Yeah, i'm currently reading Martin Drewes book "Sombras da noite" (or finnish version of it wich would translate as "sand and fire" to english. Great book btw.) and i can only hope we will have Bf 110 night fighter version in future. And Lancasters. And Berlin map. Etc.etc. :)

Looks great so far! Please don't shoot me, but maybe i would have done some of the spots just little bit larger to have more that "hand painted" look :D But it's up to you, looks mighty fine as it is too :thumbup:

Looks great now, maybe i would make brown little bit darker and "blue 12" should probably be darker too as it's said to be dark blue, close to black but otherwise good job! Hopefully available to dl soon :)

According to Jerry Crandall's awesome Dora book vol.1 it was indeed "Blue 12", not black, and undersurfaces were partly bare metal. I can take better quality scan of profile and profile notes if you want. Here's quick phone photo of it:

Take a look of drawings i posted couple of pages earlier. There was several ways how antenna wire was fitted and all styles were in use.

Don't be a such jinx. Examples you wrote goes really any plane in any sim, not just 109. Stop bashing us 109 fans now :) To be honest, i'm fan of all WW2 birds, 109 is just my favourite. Like DCS Mustang and 190, i believe 109 will be so good that no such threads are needed this time.

I've not seen single 109 fan who is angry about DCS K4 or it details. For me it seems Pony and other allied plane fans are angry instead ;)

Isn't that pretty much exactly what i wroted? Yeah, because G6 production was started in 1943. But some 4,500 G14, 2,600 G10 and 1200-1500 K4s are definitely enough to present these models in game. For 1943/mid '44 it would be.

With Microsoft Sidewinder FFB2 FFB is really great in DCS. You can feel control forces at high speeds etc. Of course FFB sticks and wheels will never be fully realistic but they will compensate some missing things you would feel in real life. I would never ever play any sims without FFB anymore...

Yeah, G6 was most produced model of 109's but in 1944 it was already obsolete and being replaced (in western front especially) by G14 and AS models of both G6 and G14, then later in '44 by K4's and G10's.

Pilot in this picture is Fw. Helmut Heinze according to Jerry Crandall's Dora book vol 1. Also, Marquardts plane in accident was actually "white 13".

Take-offs and landings feels pretty damn near exactly like i've read from pilot accounts. And they are easy and straight forward once you know exactly what need to do. I'd say more practise :) It's still beta, and it needs some little corrections here and there. But overall the whole plane, like P-51D, feels about the most accurately done WW2 plane in sim history in my opinion. Can't wait october now...
