  1. Thx for info AirTito. Regarding downwash: are we going to see something like that by firing a missile:
  2. I hope we will get them nice sounds in BS. Listen to that: Sounds great, doesn't it? Especially the moment as he opens the throttle:)
  3. I guess high.. very high (like everything in aviation). They have a german distributor. I will ask them about pricing.
  4. What are the single functions of the autopilot? And is position hold possible?
  5. INS? What does it stand for? A tooltip which shows the meaning would be great now ;) http://forum.digitalcombatsimulator.com/showthread.php?t=193
  6. Some more joystick grips you can find here: http://www.ottoeng.com/controls/control_grip_g2.html Mason electric manufacture the apache grip: http://www.mason-electric.com/products/catalog/default.stm
  7. Well i would say it doesn't really matter what the buttons are for, because you can map them to any function. It would be more interesting to know what type of switches are used.
  8. Great.. just great. I can't wait to do that by myself
  9. I hope for a printed manual and some voiceover training flights by ironhand.
  10. In the aviation there are tons of abbreviation used. Would it be possible to add a tooltip feature to the forum which shows the meaning of a abbreviation while hovering over with the mouse? The list could be completed by the user base. Especially for newbies this might be a big help. Also this should avoid repeating questions regarding abbreviations. What do you think?
  11. Let's suppose it will be possible to export the data of the ABRIS system. Could you use a touchscreen to display the data?
  12. This site might be interesting: http://www.usaarl.army.mil/hmd/cp_001.htm#cont1.1
  13. "Helicopters can't fly; they're just so ugly the earth repels them." Whoever has said this, i guess he refers to the Mi-24.:P Edit: Mi-24 not Mi-28
  14. Thx for all the info's SimFreak .
  15. Just for flying: many freeware heli's for FS2004 http://www.hovercontrol.com Payware Bell 206 http://www.dodosim.com/
  16. Those gas springs have an almost constant force/travel curve. That's the secret. Think about two Ka-50's on each side of a balance bar. Looking at your joints and the gap between the screw and the link there should be some noticeable backlash in your pedals?! Besides that your pedals looks nice and clean.
  17. I think it's wierd that you think there is a centering force. There is no centering force neither on the pedals nor on the collective. The gas filled springs give me a very nice resistance and add some damping. What about your pedals? I would be interested to see some pics.
  18. I would suggest modding a throttle like Urze did- the idea is pretty good and it's very easy to do. For myself i decided to go a step further and to build-just for Black Shark-some decent hardware like anti torque pedals and a collective stick. I'm pretty happy with the results and can't wait to try Black Shark finally:pilotfly:.
  19. Great news. Let's hope for an early 2008 release.
  20. The difference to the standard Lockon look is just...amazing:beer:. You created a totally new atmosphere.
  21. I would pay if the quality is reasonable but only a small amount like 1-2€ so the modder can drink a nice beer after all of the work he has done.
  22. believe me or not... they are actually testing engines this way. it shouldn't be a problem to add some controls to the cockpit, when they can fit an addiotional engine under the wing. okay it was not a 747, but an airbus 340. http://www.fly-net.org/aeromedia/a380eng.html
  23. engine test under real conditions. i have seen a 747 with an airbus 380 engine on a pic...
  24. Great idea! I really don't understand why Saitek overcomplicated the sensor control unit. Here you can see my way. I hope the pics speak for themselfs so you don't have to mess with my english skills:smartass:.
  25. One word- gorgeous!!!
