  1. No DIRCM, but the rest is correct.
  2. Without an NVG-compatible cockpit, it's best to either not use goggles, or have the cockpit lighting all turned off...and just use a finger light or lip light as necessary to see the gauges. Obviously not an ideal situation.
  3. They were initially planning to implement the President-S for BS3, but those plans fell through, and the President-S has been removed. However, the mounting locations for the turrets have remained on the 3D model.
  4. Those were A models, if you're talking about what I think you're talking about.
  5. Because if you are not prepared for the module to be delayed, you could be very disappointed when it is delayed.
  6. The lesson here, which should have already been learned, is: 1: Don't pre-order if you are on a timeline of any kind. If you aren't 100% okay with numerous delays, DO NOT PRE-ORDER. 2: Don't use Miles in pre-order purchases, only use Miles for released products.
  7. At this point, I think mid- to late-February is a good possibility, with "Q1" being just in case some unexpected difficulties arise.
  8. I have a lot of flight time (crew chief/flight engineer) in Mi-17s using NVG's with NVG-compatible cockpits...
  9. Well, that's what wishlists are for, after all. Maybe for AH-64D II: Electric Boogaloo
  10. I guess I'm just being pedantic about the "hot plate" which I've seen used on many planes. It's basically a piece of glass with a heating element that you attach in front of a plexiglass windscreen. I just thought it was funny that of the three methods mentioned, none consider having the heating element built right into the windscreen. In the AH-64 case, as you mention of course, the heating element is just built right into the windscreen.
  11. Of those three methods, none are the one used by the AH-64.
  12. I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. Two flare buckets of 30 each, and the single chaff bucket. Also, the chaff shoot up and out from the tail, so it shouldn't be affected much by the rotor wash I don't think. As for why so few, the U.S. has always (to my memory) used flared reactively when a missile is shot at them, whereas the Russians have used them proactively, firing them off in a program for the entire time they are in an area with a suspected IR missile threat.

    Chaff

Okay you mean that the Ka-50 has the physical ability to have chaff cartridges installed into the UV-26 launcher buckets. Fair enough. I'm assuming you would just use the UV-26 as-is and just select left/right/both for flares/chaff/both?
  14. There was never RWR. Also, DIRCM has been removed, it will only get MLWS.
  15. Hard to simulate, since the wipers don't work for real, for real. This post is a joke... partially.
  16. I was fond of suggesting that for use as a SARNEG since it's 10 non-repeating letters.
  17. Yes, but the actual turrets are removed. They left on the mounting points.
  18. Well, ED does not agree with one or more of your statements.
  19. Yeah I think we just misunderstand each other. When you say "center" I read that as "last trimmed position" but I think you mean actual center. But yeah, if you move the pedals, then press and release the trimmer, then the pedals will spring load to that new position. I think that's what you mean, which is correct as you've been saying.
  20. No, real helicopters do have springs that return the pedals to their last trimmed position.
  21. Nevermind, I misunderstood that you were saying that real helicopters don't have springs that return the pedals to their last trimmed position. I don't think that's what you meant.
