  2. On Jan 1 1945 Allied a/c made ~175 claims (damaged-destroyed) during Bodenplatte. So Allied a/c were not totally outclassed by German fighters.

Mulberry A The Mulberry harbour assembled on Omaha Beach at Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer was for use by the American invasion forces. Mulberry "A" (American) was not securely anchored to the sea bed as Mulberry "B" had been by the British, resulting in such severe damage during the Channel storms of late June 1944 that it was considered to be irreparable and its further assembly ceased.[15] It was commanded by Augustus Dayton Clark.

  21. Tiger deck and belly armour is 25mm. To get a belly shot on the Panther a very acute angle would be required increasing the thickness to 50mm or more. Never mind hitting the road would deform the bullet and velocity would decrease.
