  1. Some theory in theoretical practice ... ;-) : http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-JSF-Analysis.html
  2. More ussual is oposit: You like the game so much that you go buy new computer ... ;-)
  3. This is the highlight of my day ... (American beauty (- the movie ... ;-) ))
  4. I'm not russian but it should be something like that: http://games.1c.ru/ka50_black_shark/?type=syst : Translation might be: Minimal: System: Windows XP SP2 / Vista; Processor class: P4 2 Ghz; RAM: 1 GB; Graphics card: 256 MB, DirectX9 compatible; HDD: 5 GB free space; keyboard, mouse Recomended: System: Windows XP SP2 / Vista; Processor class: Core 2 Duo 3 GHz; RAM: 2 GB; Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD4850+ OR nVidia GF 8800+; HDD: 5 GB free space; keyboard, mouse, joystick Enjoy ... ;-)
  5. There's just too many subtypes for each missile mentioned ... so discusion if the modelling is accurrate (or how much accurate) is off the road ... (some nice reading: http://www.ausairpower.net/index.html or more preciselly: http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Rus-BVR-AAM.html ) There's not much real data ... but there might be quite funded info of what real pilots would do or not/what are they trained for/what they should avoid etc. ... If what guys do will force us to approximate that behaviour ... we should be fine with that ... "as the same rules apply for both sides" (as RedTiger said ) ...
  6. I did read all those ten pages today ... (bored with my job ... at work ... so I sticked to the forums reading ...) Trully - I noticed today that I already did fly this mod somewhere - as I was surprised where are my weapons after I fired a missile on some server (now I know it could be one of two ... ) ... I don't like to loose weapons when I see valid 'LA' on my screen (as Kuky noted)... example of negative sideeffect ... ;-))) I do agree with this mod as it tends to move the lomac user to use tactics (and advantages/disadvantages thinking) instead of specifics of the LOMAC code ... It will have side-effects too, but every change incorporating more than one unknowns has ... I'm looking forward to touch the evolution (other word for optimisation ... ;-) ), and thanks for the job you did with it guys. (First of things I will do when I get back home today will be: undefining the Alt-W combination in my LOMAC config ... to be sure I will not unintentionaly press it ... ;-) ... that's an example of positive sideeffect ... ;-))) ) Salute ! SVK_MiB
  7. Let's not forget about Ironhand's site ... Go here: http://flankertraining.com/ ... click, click, click ... go to Tutorials -> Air to Air ... and watch it in action ... then practice ... ;-) (VIDEO :: R-27ER VS AIM-120: Winning the SARH vs ARH Duel, VIDEO :: ALAMO VS AMRAAM; MiG-29 vs F-16C ... etc.
  8. Yeaah, always enjoyment ... Big thanks to 169th Panthers for organisation and to everybody for taking part. Special congratulation goes to blue "ship killing strike (mostly 141th guys ?)" - they did awesome job there ... SVK_MiB
  9. In such case i would think USAF would provide him with more photos than there are paper pieces on the toilet paper ... :D ... cough ... ;-)
  10. try here ... (formed ones first ...) : http://www.169thpanthers.com.au/
  11. just a usefull link for those creating models ... : http://tig.ludost.net/pics/airdisk/ (it's possible to browse the directories ... )
  12. http://www.ntva.no/seminarer/manus/eddy-270207.pdf http://www.afcea-bg.org/afcea/2005/Gripen.pdf http://www.lietadla.com/lietadla/svedske/gripen.htm http://www.vztlak.cz/army/gripen.html http://www.canit.se/~griffon/aviation/gripen/cockpit/gripen-cockpit.html hires: http://www.wing21.rtaf.mi.th/wboard/question.asp?GID=6150 http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/showphoto.php/photo/14699 the same like last one just a bit better : http://www.zonamilitar.com.ar/foros/showthread.php?t=12947&page=17 http://www.thaifighterclub.org/gotoPhoto.php?picid=145 http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=120024
  13. MP connection selection ED: I did ask some time ago and I will ask again: Will the multiplayer connection setting implement connection name with assigned IP address ? ( I have to have written IPs of servers along with names ... in LOMAC ... On separate piece of paper ... I don't remember all the IPs and the server name that is behind them ... What I mean is I wanna select 'connect to: "ED test server"' instead of 'connect to: "141.202.65.30"' ... I don't wanna remember the IPs ... DCS will ... thanks Miroslav
  14. Thanks for reply, ... just started to think/imagine/dream how it might be ... after I saw above links and the briliant job that guys did on the FSX game engine (which certainly has limitations ... ) ... No, I'm not intending to compare DCS to anything ... just dreaming a bit after seeing where the TECHNOLOGY goes ... whichever game engine it is ... ... videos on IL2 - Birds of prey, Flashpoint 2, Armed Assault 2, etc. are flashing through my mind ... Moore's law gives some 'exponential' wheels here ... One day those imaginations will sharpen ... patiently waiting ... as everybody else from us - future users of DCS ... no doubt there ... ;-))) Cheers, Miroslav
  15. Probably I know the answer ... (no ... still in development ... etc. ;-) ) But anyway: Is there some techdemo of the next gen of DCS engine ... or some screens ? Just to see what world level of detail (weather/terrain) can be expected ... some waving grass when you land, better particles (smoke, fire), whatever ... ;-))) { I like those on FSX: http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/ http://fullterrain.com/ } Cheers, Miroslav
  16. Probably OT: Well AFAIK it (MATLAB) has some NeuralNetworks toolbox and very nice FUZZY logic toolbox ... did play with the second one a lot while doing my MSc in A.I. ... in games I would expect some combination of Expert Systems,Fuzzy Logic (to define fuzzy rules ... IF enemy_IS_CLOSE THEN bla bla ...is_ close is a fuzzy term ...) and (Multi)Agent systems... no significant matrix computations needed I think ... and there are many types of rules that can be triggered based on the Expert System's inference engine implementation ... IF-THEN, IFMATCH, WHEN, WHENMATCH, Decision tables, etc. ...
  17. ;-) ;-))) hehe ... loooong time ago ... LHX, ... then TFX ... then others ... ;-)
  18. Nice ! (as always ;-) ) To feed them ... next competition will be one F-15 against three Su-27s ? ;-))) (Post your tracks pilots ! ;-))) ) Salut!
  19. beautifull ... and yes ... my mouth stayed open when I was looking on acmi what this A10 guy did with that F15 one ... ;-) I'll have a look on track soon also ... ;-) Thanks Viper !
  20. there's AK47 in my hands ... I see fuzzy person in a distance ... Is it a bandit or my Ma ? ;-))) Heeey Maaa ... Is that youuuu ? ... hmmm ... no reply ... she doesn't hear me ? or is it a bandit ? ... I'll shoot ... just in case ... My opinion is ... don't shoot if you're not sure ...
  21. It would be nice to see those fast and pretty accurate Czecho-Slovakian products of cold war : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DANA (Looks like Georgia bought some ... ;-) ) I'll try to collect few more pics and store them somewhere public. Maybe some 3D modeller will catch them ;-) http://www.kotadef.sk/uk_04.html http://www.kerametal.sk/gal/?ln=sk&gal=military&gid=5 http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/europe/dana.htm http://www.army.cz/scripts/detail.php?id=6053 http://www.armyrecognition.com/europe/Tchecoslovaquie/Bhana/Bhana_2002_Pictures_Gallery/images/Dana_Howitzer_Czech_Republic_Bhana_2002_01.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Armatohaubica_Dana.JPG http://www.militaryvehicles.cz/index3.php?sek=05-01&lang=en http://greekmilitary.net/artillery.htm http://www.militaryvehicles.cz/index3.php?sek=a2006-03&lang=cz model: http://www.missionmodels.com/product.php?productid=17747&cat=0&page=1
