  1. I am going to try and either make one or find some of them from...somewhere... It seems they were still in production up to the 1990's so they can't be too hard to find. I hope...
  2. I found out what sort of readout the CK-37 uses - it's an IEE Rear projection display. If that's any help :)
  3. That is superb work, well done. If I understood the video correctly, the throttle has to be rocked to leave military power and enter reheat. Then the second and third reheat zones are just click detents ?
  4. See my earlier post, I've got my access to the Viggen approved, I just need to make it all happen. I'll post any dimensions and photo's I can manage in however long I get access for.
  5. That's amazing work. I'm making a few Viggen panels myself, but most of mine are " in the style of " rather than accurate representations. That's for reasons of space and convenience. Long term I want to build an accurate Viggen cockpit and I've managed to gain access to a Viggen so that I can photograph and document everything that would be needed for a build. It hasn't happened yet, for logistic reasons, but I'll share everything I find out.
  6. An Arduino Leonardo is roughly three times larger than a Bodnar board, so switching to one of those isn't going to help you, if you want it mounted inside your collective box. I have a Leonardo controlling my throttle and it works fine.
  7. Better than mine :)
  8. Not to me, I never take the Viggen above 500ft AGL :D
  9. First stage A\B is provided by Huginn and Muninn, second stage by Freya's cats and THEN it's Valkyries... :D
  10. It's like that for a couple of reasons. Originally it had a much larger top to the stick which was a lot more modern in appearance. 1) I wanted every button at the top of the stick in reach of my thumb without shifting my grip. 2) I wanted it to look more like a non-US stick from the 60's or 70's era than something from a modern US jet.
  11. My god - that panel really is a work of art. I was wondering how the cost could be justified at first, then scrolled down to the pictures and text.
  12. The leading edge wing root idea is a winner, it'll look great - do it ! ;)
  13. Are you going to hinge one of the side consoles for easier entry and exit - or is your body less messed up than most people your ( our :D ) age ?
  14. So I can hook up a display now using DCS-BIOS ? I'd also love for the HUD brightness and radar brightness rotaries to work - currently they don't function correctly
  15. I uploaded it to Thingiverse, just search for 'Viggen'
  16. Well that turned out to be popular :D
  17. If anyone is interested they can have the stl files and print their own...
  18. Thanks ! That's an excellent resource and has saved me a ton of work
  19. Thanks :) it looks like I have hit on a realistic range of movement by accident - kind of. The stick is mounted on a box, on the floor and the throw corresponds to roughly 5 inches in all directions. It's limited to 3 inches side to side by my knees so I have adjusted the roll curve in DCS so that corresponds to full deflection. Aft stick is correct and forward stick is limited by my monitor shelf, so I left that alone.
  20. That's very helpful - thank you :)
  21. Does anyone have a diagram showing the control stick movement limits of a representative jet fighter\trainer ? I have just spent ages searching for one with no luck
  22. *Ahem* - there was a 2008 "sim-lite" that I'd break a forum rule by mentioning ( I checked and it's still for sale... although it hasn't had any development for about a decade ) That featured the Lightning...
  23. I'm going to make one as soon as I finish my current projects, but don't have a time frame mapped out. I'll design it, print one as a test ( and as a gift for a friend ) and then release the STL's on Thingiverse.
  24. I bet he was popular with the ground crew, if you over-G'd a Lightning they had to take both the engines out :D
