The mission editor doesn't seem to have anything above 37mm in terms of flak. Is there any way to simulate a Vietnam war flak enviroment, with larger calibers ? I'm not interested in buying the WW2 objects pack just to get an 88, which won't look right in any event.

I can't see ED suddenly abandoning high fidelity combat sims to become a clone of one of those free to play, pay to win 'sims' where you sit above and behind your aircraft like it's Super Mario Kart :D Modern era combat flight sims may not be the biggest pond at the moment, but ED are the biggest fish in it. The only fish actually. So why hop out of it for an uncertain future, competing with very well established companies that have the market sewn up ? How's that for a metaphor ? :D

Fine by me, as long as you aren't requesting that your list be enforced in SP or on all MP servers* You can enjoy your own hyper realistic server with all your like minded friends and the rest of us ( who can't see contacts without dot labels until they are at unrealistically short ranges ) can enjoy DCS too. It's called live and let live :) *Ultimately you wouldn't get your way with your complete wishlist of things that should be Verboten ! anyway - because that would cripple ED's ability to sell modules. Their userbase would shrink to a tiny handful of fanatics, which isn't a great business model :)

I don't really have a dog in the race when it comes to LANTIRN, but I hope HB don't decide to prevent the mapping of any RIO functions to the front seat. Jesters an adorable little guy but he's not really all that bright...

At the merge the initial 9G+ turn was eye-watering, despite having a single engine it could still reach heights other fighters like the F-16 couldn’t. It also possessed, in my opinion, a far more sophisticated fly-by-wire system – it was in effect limitless. I managed to put a Mirage 2000 into the vertical whilst being chased and held the manoeuvre a few seconds too long – when I looked into my HUD I was in the pure vertical at 60 knots and decelerating ! As we hit Zero the aircraft began to slide backwards and the ‘burner blew out. My heart-rate increased. As the aircraft went beyond its design envelope, the nose simply flopped over pointing earthwards – with a few small turns the airspeed picked up. As I hit 200 knots I simply flew the aircraft back to straight and level. I admit that my opponent did shoot me down, but he did say it looked spectacular. This sort of carefree handling gave pilots huge confidence in the aircraft”

Made this today, proof of concept. Might as well make something useful instead of a toy boat with my first 3D print. Dimensions are TLAR...

As in the writing in the centre of the gear indicator panel, below what I think is a button. Press To Test ?

I've gotten used to Jester sitting behind me now - but if I had to look at him during flight - as in the A-6...not so sure about that...

That's a very bold decision on their part. Hope it works out for them. Why would you care if the pilot can operate the LANTIRN or not ? if you don't want to take advantage of the workaround then don't, I really can't figure out why you wish to stop other people from doing so ?

Honestly, if someone released a Sopwith Camel five seconds after there'd be a bunch of people asking for it to be fitted with a couple of MFD's a HUD and smart munitions :D

When the autopilot engage switch is on the aircraft is in a sort of 'stick steering' mode. It's very useful. Not sure what the limits are though. When you press the HOTAS autopilot button the autopilot reference light to the left of the ADI\TV display goes out and the aircraft follows the mode you set on the panel.

Excellent ! :) I have everything I need now, thanks for offering :) I'm actually designing a replica of the PCN, I didn't want to ask for too specific a dimension of one piece of equipment because I didn't want you to get mistaken for a spy by Walk'n and Fahrenheit ;) I originally bought an INS panel from a military aircraft on Ebay and started to convert that, but now I bought a 3D printer so I will start again so the panel looks accurate
