  1. I had that earlier, but everything is fine again now - for me, anyway
  2. That's good news, thanks a lot - Edit :- I set the GUI scaling to 1 and the problem was still happening
  3. You can switch off the stability augmentation, I think there's a keybind that doesn't exist in the real helo, there's definitely an MPD menu option. Give it a try, you'll find the '64 needs a lot of concentration to fly without it.
  4. There's a lot about helo's which seems counter-intuitive for anyone used to fixed wing, you should check out BradMicks series of videos that are linked in this forum. I believe he's a real world instructor pilot on the '64 and he's got the knack of explaining things in a very understandable way. It'll probably help you to start right from the beginning with his videos, there is a mine of useful information in them. Good luck.
  5. I appreciate your help, here's the file options.lua
  6. The Apache's autostabilisation and autopilot system is pretty complex, but the TL:DR is that if you aren't trimming properly - despite having no springs - there will be times when it will be fighting your control inputs. Trimming also affects your hold modes. There isn't a way to properly simulate the Apache's control system and remove the need for trimming.
  7. I did have, but I think that I have cured the map scaling issue by setting Padlock to on in the mission editor, that's the temporary fix from ED via Flappie. That hasn't affected the maps delayed appearance though
  8. ED wording something badly ? I don't find that very hard to believe If the cockpits of ED modules featured a shovel then I know that to bind the control I have to look for " use earth inverting implement " in the assignments Thank you
  9. I have to download Google Authenticator, because that's the method that ED have chosen to use
  10. Thanks for taking the time. I just reviewed the track and once again, the ABRIS map showed up. But when I recorded the track, it didn't appear at any point. ABRIS.trk
  11. For me at least, the two factors aren't the issue, giving the number of my tracking and surveillance device ( sorry, smartphone ) to Google is. I wouldn't even own a smartphone at all unless it was virtually impossible to get through modern life without one sometimes. I already have two factor authentification for some important things, but it doesn't involve a mobile number. Thinking that Google want your phone number for your own protection boggles my mind. These are people whose AI reads your emails so they can serve you targeted adverts and build a profile of you that they can sell - there's literally no limit to their spying. I heartily dislike them and everything they stand for, so I'll do my best to keep their tentacles out of my private data.
  12. Be careful what you wish for, I can remember ( years and years ago ) when it was considered good etiquette to announce " rockets, rockets, rockets " before firing in multiplayer because everyone's frame rates would absolutely tank for a second...
  13. It's no problem reproducing it, but I'm not sure if a track will help if you read the explanation in the thread I started. I do have one though.
  14. I have a strange issue. Sometimes - enough times to be really annoying - the ABRIS map doesn't appear. It may display after a few seconds, a few minutes, or in very rare cases it doesn't at all. I have now removed any mods ( except Reshade ) and repaired DCS, but that hasn't helped. So far it only seems to be an issue with MT. The weird thing is that I thought I had captured a track of this happening, but when I replayed the track, the ABRIS worked as it should. I have no idea why that is. Anyone got any ideas ?
  15. That fixed the scaling issue. Sadly it's not fixed the other issue I've got where sometimes the Abris screen starts out without the map - black screen - and then appears at some random time after takeoff. But that's just annoying rather than a huge problem.
  16. Tick the box allowing padlock in the main GUI settings, and/or the mission editor ? I've never used padlock and have no idea as to how it works
  17. Appreciated, but it's obviously my settings at fault
  18. It's me then, likely culprit is Reshade. Thanks
  19. Have you had any comments about the visibility of lines connecting waypoints on the F10 map ? They are barely visible on my setup - but that could very easily be because I run Reshade ( which also affects the GUI ) and my gamma settings The zoomed map in cockpit - in the Hind - looks washed out as well, but then under some lighting conditions it was like that before I installed your chart.
  20. They all cost money, and apart from using them to jump through ED's hoop I've got no need of them. If there are any free ones then I guarantee that it'll be me who is the product.
  21. So what would I need then ? if it's a mobile app from big tech I'm not using it and I don't use, or particularly want Steam either.
  22. Google desperately want your phone number because it helps them tie all the other things they already know about you to a device that tracks your location to within a few feet ( to a few inches in the case of Crapple phones - allegedly ) There is no end to the uses they can put this to learn more about you, which makes their data profile of you more valuable to advertisers. Most people don't care, but then most people don't really understand the extent of Googles spying. I am unwilling to have my very existence monetized for their own benefit by a morally bankrupt corporation, so I won't be installing their Authenticator. If ED ever requires me to give a phone number to Google just to use DCS then I will stop using it.
  23. The point I'm making - my adorable little cupcake - is that to do anything useful with the model you have to import it into a 3D Cad program that works in real world units. Then you can produce old school dimensioned drawings, or eventually G Code, or STL files.
  24. Get ModelViewer to produce some G Code for me and I'll tell you, sweetie
