  1. First of all I wasn't whining to you. I was responding to Hummingbird and you responded to me and now you have problems with that? C'mon man. You are not a mod and don't play one. You are wrong, fandom is good but wanting a plane to perform better than IRL is something different. It's not the first time I've had a conversation about the 109 and 190 turning not good enough or beeing not fast enough or having wrong stall characteristics. Now focus back on the thread and stop playing a saint Crump.
  2. Hummingbird takes just people's opnions and says "this doesn't work in DCS like it should" while he also uses only those that fit him the most, but he ommits negative or less positive opinions about the 109. It just becomes tiresome realy to argue with him and all those 109 "fans" that want it to be something it was not IRL. Its the main goal to achieve "superiority" instead of creating good FM.
  3. What about the testimony that the 109: "you had to treat the 109 as you would treat a diva, you had to handle it with care like a raw egg or something that needs to be loved and cared for" Hans- Ekkehard Bob ... they had to be careful with it. And its a talk about the 109E and not the K4 which is even heavier and has even more torque from the engine. https://youtu.be/moreRketqek?t=1m47s If you rely so heavy on the pilot feedback, why do you ommit comments like that?
  4. Great to hear its comfirmed fixed now. Thx YoYo
  5. It realy might be due to stifness, or it could be that the mild stalling characteristic may refer to the power-off stall and not the accelerated stall?:book::huh:
  6. I think it was even in the video that ED posted, that Mr. Brunotte said that you should apply full power and go and no breaks needed for steering too. Not every plane is a civilian liner @BSS Sniper.
  7. A-10 is not WW2 plane in DCS. They seem to be radically different when comes to spotting. With zoom I could spot MiG29 from 5km no problem in DCS, but with WW2 planes even at 1km it was hard. Good that ED did the right thing. The pole that was conducted some time ago spoke for itself.
  8. You do realise that those "full real" settings have the additional helps built in? I can spot fighter planes from 5 km in CloD on my 1080p monitor. In DCS without "aids" the 109 is hard to see at more than 1km.
  9. I agree on Me410. Better performer, better suited for the time of the war (late 1944) and has tons of ordnance to use on ground targets if needed. Good overall platform that would bring a lot to the game.
  10. I wish I could experience that. My PC is not good enough though :( I need to get a new one. I am realy happy that change happened and that ED listened to the community. It will make WW2 air combat pleasant, my eyes won't hurt anymore (at least not so much :P) and I am sure it will all be fine in the end. @Crump, either you have 3 monitors or a 4k monitor or just your eyesight needs to be checked :P
  11. I think YoYo mentioned that FM was almost untouched. Only some cooling system changes, ROC and rudder forces added. So the 109 elevator is the same as it was before... if I recall correctly. Gavai elevator is "stiff" which means you can't pull full deflection, or is it "stiff" that you can't pull at all?
  12. Realy? Are you going to argue with not only a German, but German proffesional translator? Crump, its not wrong not to know. It is bad to keep fighting when you know that you are wrong. It is getting sad realy. @FALKE Thx man. :) I think that first one is about 109G and the second one is a comparisson of Fw190 and Bf109, is that possible?
  13. @YoYo. Thank you for your confirmation.
  14. DCS 1.5 DCS World stoped working. Every time I run .exe. It just says so. I have used repair from the Open Beta folder. Is it possible that my system can't even run the Main Menu? Or is it just a bug that I have and need to reinstal? My specs: AMD Athlon 6000+ 3.0GHz dual core, 4GB RAM DDR2, GF9800GT 512mb/256bit. Previous versions ran ok, with 1.5 it just goes into a white starting screen, it thinks and then says "DCS stoped working". PS. I have played Battlefield 3 on low-medium settings on this rig.
  15. Those are not rudder curves. I checked it with my German friend. Word 'Hohenruderausshlag' can be misleading as google translate translates it as "high rudder", thats only because the word is written with 'o' instead of 'ö', which might have been hard to see due to very old copy of the document. So now with 'ö' (Höhenruderausschlag) means "elevator travel"... So that might have been the confusion...
  16. Awesome!
  17. 1. Dunno. Maybe they didn't have time for it yet? Thats a lot of changes. 2. The plane had no forces on the rudder and was working as if it was in void. So thats a very good news. Flettner tab lightens the force you have to use to use the rudder, it doesn't make it as it in pre 1.5 versions. The pre 1.5 version could, thanks to rudder, roll as fast if not faster than Fw190 at high speeds. So I am realy happy that got fixed. It's great to see those improvments.
  18. Thank you YoYo. That's awesome news. I really appreciate your decision. .:pilotfly:
  19. Yes, I know that, thats exactly what I mean. P51 is a worse turner(because of sustained turn), having ability to pull more Gs without G suit negates itself and gives very little if no advantage to the Mustang, and thats the point. In any other aspect the plane is inferior, so why make it less superior in the one thing that it actually does better? If the pilot can't go over 5G for a sustained G, that means that the 109 having worse high speed turn can follow it as I have to loosen the turn not to black out and 109 is going to gain on me at that time. Its only useful in scissors, but I can't just make a wide over 5G turn. This means that we emphasise the 109's sustained turn advantage and take away from the P-51's instantaneous turn advantage. Basically the one thing Mustang has better, that beeing high speed maneuvrablity is impaired by the lack of G resistance. Especially taking into consideration that 109 pilot is not getting tired with heavy stick forces in the game, so he can do it all day. I agree with Sithspawn, if the code was already there, it could be very well an option. Its also historically correct for the P-51 pilots in 1944 especially late to have those G suits on.
  20. Fine, be it your way. I've just said that its unfair towards the plane, and the principle of the game not beeing balanced and its up to the mission maker to balance it out. But ok. I am wrong this time I guess.
  21. I only wonder how does this "balance" a thing. So a plane that is slower, turns worse, climbs worse and is planced with both late war limited production German aircraft, is striped from its one real advantage that it should have regardless of balance! First you say that planes are not made to be balanced and that I should deal with my 67'hg Mustang against most rare versions K4 and D9... now you say its balanced out by taking out the G-suit? The historical equipment used by allied pilots? Great. Cool. Thx for update YoYo. If we had G6 and Fw190A8 I would be fine with it. I would say, yeah june 1944, not all units had it... but against those two monsters?!
  22. I don't think there is a lot to talk about in case of WW2 aircraft though, differences between 190 and 51 are very little and so there will be practially no difference between pilot's G force handling. And adding to it that American pilot would have a G-suit, which was becoming common in 1944 for Mustang pilots, shows that its the P-51 that should be better at high speed maneuvering.
  23. 109 always had tendency to go left and right rudder had to be applied. Exception beeing high speed when it starts to go to the right. It is a 109. Works as it should
  24. People who backed successfully DCS WW2 and other fans of WW2 aviation? Like me? Vigen didn't shape the world around us. Zero and Hellcat did.
  25. Well they said that one will have air-ground radar, so I doubt both planes would be WW2. But I sure hope for some Pacific planes :3
