DCS Mod: MB-339A/PAN by Frecce Tricolori Virtuali

Technical Preview #2 - JPT Limiter -
Thanks, yes I know the reason of adding the base for a bigger spectrum of usage, but in the end I think most of the users want to fly Sea Harrier, Pucarà and MB-339 in this map:D By the way, I remember the option for vehicles, ships, and aircraft to indicate the era of usage, I don't know if runways and static objects can be affected too.
-
Hi Specter, nice images, but can we have an option to remove Mount Pleasant AB from the map? I still think that this big RAF aiport sounds a bit off when all naval assets and AI ac are from '82 war...
-
The problem isn't the code in autoexec, but the missing EffectViewer folder under Bazar: for some reason the latest OB deleted the folder, I recovered it from the stand-alone package and the slider is working now
-
Confirm, the slider appear to be locked in the latest release
-
After the last OB, still the bort cut is not fixed. Here is the default livery and the polygons of the bort are not adhering to the fin In my livery the problem is so much evident when zooming in MV In Fin Here in nose (wireframe clearly see the shifted polygons cut)

-
Also, misalignment of the bort numbers's cut: FIN NOSE This is barely noticeable in normal liveries, but special colours that draws over the bort cuts are affected

Not encrypted, but ED started using BC-7 compression for their DDS textures. You need the new plugin from Intel to read them: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-texture-works-plugin

Hi Ripcord, I've analysed the crashlog: this is a crash of your graphic card during rendering of terrain, not directly correlated to MB-339. 2020-03-13 13:44:39.188 ERROR DX11BACKEND: DX device removed. We have used BC-7 to preserve quality and crispness (and have exactly the same disk footprint of DXT-5). I don't know why official modules still use a format surclassed like DXT-5 when the engine is able to handle a better one...:music_whistling: BTW, really nice skin...ah ah Snowbirds… I know Canadians are dreaming of M-345 Snowbirds Team;)

In a model with bones animation the exporter still ask for bounding box to embed the objects
-
The connector type declaration seems to be correct, the name of the dummy should be Attach_point About the bounding box, I’ve created some weapons in the past, unless you have bones you can export without it: if you load it in the MV the bounding box and user box are present, so maybe the exporter create one automatically calculating the vertex positions of your model.

Congratulations to all winners, from one of the losers:megalol: At start of this contest I would bet that there was some interest in new subjects and I was quite sure that some of USAAF captured or French SNCAC liveries would be an excellent addition to the game... I'm quite surprised that I was wrong  BTW, since I've lost hours for paint them( and searching references and info too) I've already posted the links to the A-8's liveries section of the forum:P

FW-190A8 captured by USAAF of 404th FG. It was painted in orange-red, the JG4 insignia was misteriously preserved from painting. Initially it was damaged, after gear restoration the Maj. Leo Moon(cmdr of 404th FG) was ready on the ramp, but an oil leakage prevented him to start the take-off run: it never returned to fly and later abandoned in St. Trond, Belgium. DOWNLOAD Photo: ____________________________________________________________________________ FW-190A8 captured by USAAF, in use by 356th FS of 354th FG. The colour scheme was Deep Blue with a Lemon Yellow band on the fuselage and canopy, the rudder was painted with red & white stripes. The extremely big roundels differ in many details from the standard ones. . The canopy was initially damaged and reconstructed adding a reinforced ring. DOWNLOAD A B&W reference photo NOTE: Those 2 liveries partecipated in the contest for winning the English Channel map...

French rebuilt FW-190A8. At the end of 1944 several FW190 A8 and A5 were found abandoned in a bunker at Cravant. SNCAC(Société nationale des constructions aéronautiques du Centre) recovered many of these to reequip the reborn french airforce. The new designation was NC900, this is a depiction of the serial #52, type A8 DOWNLOAD

The liveries list is a little buggy but I have a workaround for FW-190A8: load first the edm of FW-190D9 and the A8 entry will appear
