Not that I have much push on the confident vote & not that he needs my backing, but he has mine on this issue. I totally agree with you Ice. DCS needs a fighter Jet. As for multicore CPU, how others dare to say no with such remarks?... (some suprises me) Dawm you all that wants to stop progress, lol. Yes static weather IS totally boring. Dynamic weather would be better. I think the same way. I want to add. EAX surround support. 64bit OS Processor support. Why not take advantage of our current technology? And why not request as such?... Cuda GPU support? A DEDICATED SERVER anyone? Supported via Linux as well?... Besides all childish behaviours and feelings...I see nothing wrong with what Ice has mentioned. He is up 2 par with what all we want in the end... A better game/sim... Well I have no clue what went down as for the root cause. But Re installing the drivers seemed to have fixed the issue:huh:. Heck at this point I don't care if it works... Don't try to explain it, lol:D

Ok, I just tried manualy updating the game profiles, just in case. And the TrackIR is not installed in the program files to prevent conflicts due that DIR is verry secure... NO go....:( In Flaming cliff we could delete TrackIR.ini and and TrackIR.cfg that resetted the device. But can't see these files with BlackShark...

I'm almost ready to fly some black shark. Got my X45 all configured. Now I have a seperate issue all together... I have the drivers version TrackIR version 4.1 Build 37, with TrackIR 3 with vector under Windows 7, Ultimate 64bit. The device no longer works inside BlackShark. The blue led will not turn on when I start flying. But the game profile is inside the drivers. Tried compatibility mode without success as well... Any ideas? Thanks in advance (already posted on trackIR forum, thought maybe someone here had some suggestions) Edit: just tried Arma II, it works under Arma II the blue Led does turn on...

Ok I think I found the culprit, saitek x45 drivers. and good point Polecat, I also remove the compatibility checks, seems working now. Anyhow, back to installing the remaining of my stuff. So far, very impressed with 7.

Issue resolve. For future reference, don't install the drivers in the default DIR. Thanks anyhow. Ok now lets try to make Lomac and DCS work on this OS...

I jumped the gun and just purchased Windows 7 Ult 64bit. I tried installing Version 4.1.037 - Final B due that my hardware is limited. The drivers installs fine(done in admin mode) but when launching the app. The hardware is not detected. I require this community expertise. Help:surrender:

Unless you have good connections like me, then I highly recommend you purchase your Paper product from ED, his price is very competitive and they offer hard covers if I’m not mistaken. So it’s is a very good deal IMO that they offer. I can’t say enough of the benefits of having a copy on your side when flying. I would think after investigating that it would cost average of producing this PDF yourself average in Canadians dollars around 120$ (grace price) if not even more. Double that if, in full color. Again it’s always on your choice of binding, paper etc… Modifying the PDF layout, shrinking it etc, well, that would be too expensive for the average user. But buying from ED again would be considered a collector’s Item. I know I sound like a salesman, but I know a good product when I've seen one. :D Cheers.

After a few hours of reading the Advanced DCS manual. I’m overwhelmed on the amount of information. Get your paper copy; trust me, too much info to read from a pdf file from a PC. You can take the book with you at work, play… Riding the bus etc… Mastering all this info, well that’s another story… And riding the bus reading that book, it will turn heads trust me lol. And not always in a ‘’geeking’’ way… Just by the thickness of it… Although it`s only a sim, the content is hardcore… Too good to be true... Seriously Thanks ED

If it only happens on segments of the clouds, could the issue be related to under powering on the video card? Overheating? Sorry can't be a really good help. I'm a Nvidia user. You might want to page Mustang. He knows his stuff around ATI video cards...

I can't resist. I just brought home these manuals of DCS and Lomac. I must say the DCS blackshark advance manual is VERY impressive, nice pictures, nice details. Awesome work on all the groups involved in bringing these manuals to life. Printed in full color, both sides, the binding of books was glued. No modification on the layout, printed straight off the PDF files. Look at the thickness compared to the original manual of DCS. :surrender: Thanks again ED, Writers, Translators, Photographers, Producers, Beta testers & finally the Community. :thumbup: Now back to studying :book: l

Maybe if they built a game engine that REALLY takes advantages of multi-core processors and takes advantages of GPU technology like cuda, with a good OS & PC, then maybe the future does not seems so far away… Just a thought…;)

Good point, but I would think that DCS would get more exposure with this media. Most developers uses it. Not a question of quality over quantity. Quality has already been established. Exposure is what seems to lack, heck in Eastern Canada, this game/sim is not even being exposed.

There’s lots of post on this forum about Alchemy resolving sound issues on Vista. But it’s a good reminder. Thanks
