Did you move to Win7? Report in please.
TheMoose replied to Flyby's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Windows 7 64bit here, very happy with it. Now if ED would produce a 64bit exec, then I would be happier. ;) -
I would prefer realism then nothing else, let the skills sort it out in DCS skies. Balance is for arcade players. If I would like balance, I would be playing Hawks, which I don’t...Bring back to life the F15C and all its "inclusive" glory;)

This is good, but I know you can do better with DCS. My money is on you. :D Cheers, tried to box it out, but got a white screen for some reason.....

Mission editor trigger question: Is it possible to create a trigger on solely on the action taken by clicking a switch inside the cockpit? Or is this too much too ask? ;) Something basic as if you switch the light on, a sound file would play and so on. Basically thinking of creating a virtual tutorial that will say if your actions are good or not. I haven’t played yet with the editor. At first glance it seemed intimidating compared to LO. So I wanted to firstly concentrate on my flying :pilotfly:. But wanted some insight from current missions builders and BETA testers. Regards,

Maybe a mission tutorial on how to evade sam launches. Although A track file with sound instructions would suffice. I’m always getting nailed by Sam’s. I’m too eager to get close inside the action zone. But they should be way to go on evasive manoeuvre without having to regress and hold back... Anyhow this is how much I know. Basically nothing, natta, absolument rien. LOL :D Thanks for the continued contributions of your missions. They are awesome. Cheers

This Thread raises a good argument point if LOCKON 2.0 will be compatible with DCS Blackshark in multiplayer, does this mean that we will regain the whole map? How is this going to work in regards of the map area?

Weird my Q6000, not even Over clocked, under Seven 64bit. Never dropped under 20FPS (so far that I’ve noticed). It averages out around 40FPS. Without any action, just flying, you’re looking around 50FPS. All at high settings, with 4xAA, 1920x1200. But I have 4 Gigs of good RAM, under a P35 Intel chipset plus my GTX280 does help. But I admit the game is more CPU demanding then GPU. (fairly old computer, had it for 4 years if I recall, besides the GPU upgrade that I've done) But I recall under Xp you would be looking at 10FPS decrease for BlackShark under the same settings. Due mostly at the CPU threading fix that was introduce by the community and addressed in the latest patch for Vista users.

I am the voodoo master lol, seriously I apologise for any confusion :D

Basically show real time investment in the company Ubisoft. And show how real the market works. That is all Sir!....
-
The debacle between ED and Ubisoft is not ours to interpret. I myself a “Quebecer” I appreciate to have Ubisoft head office in Montréal Québec. They give out hopeful futures developers in Quebec. For future programmers, graphics artiste, Infographie. Etc. Montréal is the place to be... Farcry 2 and Assassin Creed II to name a few. I do not wish to debate what good or what they did wrong. Money talks and everything else walks in my book. But Ubisoft has some potential in my book. But I admit the shares does not look so good http://www.google.ca/finance?q=EPA%3AUBI But recessions will do that for a company... Hopefully ED had a good year with all this recession crap. Keep them comming Sir. I'll keep buying..ED has my continued support. Cheers.

TheMoose replied to 44th_Rooster's topic in Screenshots and Videos
To my knowledge the 44th was strickly an F15c and A10 air squadron? Nice vid`s by the way... Cheers -
LOL looks like the mission editor(human) would need to comply with our wishes :smilewink: If all fails, heck I’ll jump into a Mig. That`s what I like of having the variety. This is truly a good thing of integrating LO to DCS imo. At least we would not have to wait 10 years down the road for this type of combat even if the KA50 will be more challenging then the other birds. In the end is all about having fun :D will comply with the addons when they come  Cheers

Functional in Windows 7 32bit or 64bit?
TheMoose replied to mdubeux's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Ahhh your making me drool. 64bit exec would be awesome. Here`s for wishfull thinking :smilewink: -
Careful with these words. If I make it close to your base. I might just park it and wait until I see fighters retreating to home base, then when you’re on final, I might just sneak up and snipe your behind lol. Making it there, well that’s another story. Again depending if all ground to air has been disable... Coordinating with Air to air will be the key for this type of successful strike. Anyhow, looks like lots of fun :D
-
Looking forward for this integration. Looking forward to mission type support role with Air to Air with Air to Ground with the Ka50. This will be a 15$ well spent. Thanks a million. Regards,

Yes, actually I have the same issue. I get this error:
-
Ok then, I'll stop beating an old horse....:D I'm not that avionic inclined to re hash old stories and reading tones of pages. But in lamming terms, the Kh25-ML was added due that it was TESTED successfully, but not Air to air right? I'm just curious on the extent on why we do not have Air to Air (for mostly valid reason). Then I just want to ensure that having this missile is on the same principal, being real. If not then... Having it and not the other makes no sence... If the Kh-25ML was not tested and not used in "real" life on the same premice as the AxA implication of the Ka-50 then, it should be removed. (not that I like that option, but if RL is the way to go, then...) or add Air to Air on the same premice of having the Kh-25ML... Thanks for enduring my patience on a way ''overtalked'' issue. But yet, I just needed a ''quicky'' understanding without having to read so many pages/threads. Edit: PS: Maybe adding a sticky on why many websites reports that AxA is capable with the KA-50 & such. But the Kh25-ML is possible compared to what actualy IS. Is being replicated/not with this sim. Preventing re occurences thread for new comers might be a valid suggestion... Cheers

Thanks for the info. But they have been added due that they "where" tested with the Ka-50 reason why we have them compared of not having at all the R-60/AA-8 Aphid, R-73/AA-11 Archer, Igla-V as reported by: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/helicopter-m/ka50/ (Which was reported by ED that they were never "intended" or used in testing with the Ka-50) PS: No intention of starting a flame or a debate. I just want to make sure I have my facts right. Thanks ARMAMENT: Gun one 2A42 30-mm cannon (500 rds max, 280 rds typical) Stations 2 stub-wings with 4 hardpoints and 2 wingtip hardpoints Air-to-Air Missile R-60/AA-8 Aphid, R-73/AA-11 Archer, Igla-V ? Air-to-Surface Missile up to 12 AT-9 Ataka or AT-16 Vikhr anti-tank, Kh-25ML/AS-10 Karen anti-radiation, Kh-25MP/AS-12 Kegler ? Bomb FAB-250/500, KAB-500Kr Other up to four 20-round B-8 80-mm rocket pods, up to four 5-round 122-mm rocket pods, UPK-23-250 gun pod, GUV-8700 machine gun pod, PLAB weapons dispenser, chaff/flare pods Some of the loadouts (in red) layed out from the website I'm not sure we already have them...
-
Hi, I'm curious as well. Maybe a beta tester can answer that one. How come we are unable to select the Kh-25ML inside the in game Maintenance “change payload section”? I’m sorry if that was asked before. But I couldn’t find the answer using the search. Was it omitted intentionally? If so, then why? And any chances of having this added in the near future? Thanks
-
Short answer, playable without? Yes. My added question would be: Would you want too? IMO Heck no, reason: There’s already too many things I need to think about besides adding hat switches views and zooms added to the mix in the heat of the action. Some switches will not be in line of sight quickly enough as It would by raising my head with a trackIr device. Basically TrackIr or Freetrack is a must for immersion & quickness of response time. On the plus side, releasing these views on your hotas allows re assigning these keys to newer assignments. Anyhow, with or without... When time & budget permits. Add that device in the mix. That was my experience with Lockon before and after trackIr. Remains more true with DCS... My 2 cents, Cheers

Oups my bad, ok then "if". At least they are considering it and "somewhat" on the planning table. That itself shows "potential" promise...

Looking forward for this 64bit exec "when available"
