HOTAS, I'm still using a sidewinder precision. I seemed not able to get rid of it even If I have X45(in the box still). Not enough buttons on that MS stick:blush: But I luv the grip ;) of my sidewinder...

The problem is to find a key that is NOT assign to be able to use for resetting your trackIr :D And Welcome Tone12 to this awesome community. I'm still a noob myself, very deep learning curve, but that's where the fun is ;)

I've seen no mentions about MP anti hack. Unless I might be blind or maybe already proven un-efficient....

Not to burst anyone bubble, but besides FPS, there is game play, ok the tweak affinity goes a long way. But at least Xp users have the Span view to extend your desktop allowing usability to use a 2nd monitor without much hassle (compared to vista) and of course no sound bug issues… No matter the results, Xp remains a very solid OS as a gamming platform IMO with less stress for the average user that wants to game… But nevertheless a good thread, thanks all for your input, was a good reading… Cheers

Not to flame or get some in return. But would it be feasible to implement some type of anti cheat system for multiplayer? Like punkbuster?...

Known issue since vista… If your using any creative labs sound card, then the fix would be to insert the game in the Alchemy application. http://www.soundblaster.com/alchemy/

Alt-T hold light bug. Not sure if that’s was mention before. But I’ve notice that inside the cockpit, If I use the mouse too click the altitude hold auto, then its ok, the switch turns on and off. But If I use the key combo (default) alt-t, the light will turn on the switch, but repeating the sequence too disable it, the light does not turn off but the effect does occur. Or if if you disable it with the click mouse, then pressing alt-t, the light on the keyboard will no longer respond, will stay turned off, but the effect is occuring when pressing alt-t for on-off. I’m I missing something? Regards, Moose

I’m curious. How realistic the vortex ring effect is represented. In real life does a helicopter pilot deal with this every day? A frequent occurrence? Or just a freak of nature that they need to be aware of and deal with it when it happens… PS. I don’t mind the effect; actually it’s a nice addition. But just curious on how frequently it happens in real life… Cheers

It’s worth it; this sim is unparallel to anything else available on the market. They did an awesome job. Combining the extreme learning curve with a very good eye candy interface (although old engine). There are only good things ahead for DCS :thumbup: Comparing IL2 to BlackShark is like comparing a bold of fruit loops cereal to a real breakfast with bacon & eggs. The taste of fruit loops is good, but not as fulfilling then a real hardy man’s breakfast LOL. I'm getting hungry now, lol ttyl. Cheers

Looking at the other vehicles in the parking lot. Hummer, Challenger, Dodge Ram 4x4 most likely fully loaded. Looking at the paint job & the graffiti on his ‘’new’’ truck. Heck I don’t blame him, but I would have not swung a bat at it. I would have begged daddy for some money to pimp my ride lol…. :D
