The opposite can be easily be said. I cannot imagine playing GTA4 without a mouse and keyboard. Plus it looks stunning at ultra high at 1920x1200 resolution, plus PC owners have the movie maker built in :D ;)

Hi ED & Beta testers, Since pictures relays more then words. I have created this small movie without sounds. It was taken from the courier mission. I haven’t modified any lua files or cfg files. This is pure default. I have a concern on how the fog reacts with its surroundings. Is it just me? Related to the current engine? Anyhow I needed to point to this out. The transition of the effects does not feel right. Seems either pure on or off, affecting the trees, etc... (I’ve compress the movie to a mp4 format since it's the smallest format I could manage. Hopefully you will be able to see it. Unfortunately I cannot uploaded it directly to the forum due to its size (7 megs)) Download here

I agree, an Xbox 360 against my ''punny'' quad core with my Nvidia GTX280 ;) :megalol: I’ve always been a full PC gamer. But I have nothing against consoles, heck, having both would be an asset. But I would prefer to invest inside PC upgrades instead of limiting myself... :D If I have 400$ to spare and I feel my PC isn’t fast enough, I would lean on the PC upgrade

I use the default profile of Flight under my TrackIr 3 (with vector) pro control panel. Combat Flight is good also, but I recently switch to the Flight profile. Seems better for my taste. I haven’t seen the need to tweak further then this. The only setting I would usually tweak would be the light sensitivity. But that’s my taste, all have different ones…

Not sure about all the radar warning stuff, heck the thread was a good read though. Myself not sure if it’s because I have radio assist enable (probably), but I do receive vocal warnings; missile launch 12 o’clock high etc… You can always use that I guess if you want to receive warnings… __________________

Once you’re at home, check your model number, then go here http://portforward.com/routers.htm Click on the model you have, then it will bring you to an application page, select Lockon (it uses the same port), then it will guide you through the configuration of your router. If that doesn’t help, you can always try to bypass your router (if possible). You can also try disabling Internet security applications like Mcafee or Norton. Hope this helps.

Did you forward the port 10308 to your host PC? What model of router do you have? Your connection is DSL with PPPOE or Cable with DHCP?

I regress on my initial cloud statement. It does fixes the bar. But as some already mentioned; The clouds, does act weird after, see the screenshots. I’ve noticed that today. Anyhow it was a good try. Fixes one thing, but breaks something else...

I'm from Canada and had no issues with the payment. Make sure you follow the instruction carefully; you need to enter authorization number (usually 3 digits) behind your card, to process it.

Here’s another wish for DCS, we have the ability of saving track files under single player, but when it comes to multiplayer, we now have to search through the temp files. My impression is, if the server has restriction like internal view only. I won’t be able to see that track. I tried multiple times and every time when I play the track from the replay menu. Well I only get MAP view… Having the ability to save track files of MP sessions, including the ability of playback without the original restriction of the server that was recording on. Anyone knows if LOTU will be upgraded with the usage of DCS? That was an awesome tool for LO, might consider bringing this type of feature inside the game itself. Regards

Well I can imagine an engine that takes real advantages of quad core CPU or i7 processors. Maybe taking advantage of CUDA. I would think maybe the FPS might not be that bad… Anyhow, only the future will tell. Of course if no one builds it, then no one will ever know... But I understand the limited resources of ED budget wise. My point was that the technology is available now, does not require future Pc to run them. As for FPS wise, well maybe it’s time for an upgrade ;) (myself included) Regards

FSX already is average 3 year old and DCS is a new born, with old scars. I still believe they have potential on this old request. Too some extent, I would believe on what you said, but then again, the environment I’m asking for is already available under FSX on certain degree. So no, I don’t think I would need to wait for the hardware you share as a ''future'' (that future is now) PC to be available, I believe in ED & future development, don't you?...

Here`s my setup with dual view, as you can see. I'm out of space, had to put my throttle / collective stick on a box, lol ;) I also have Saitek Rudder pedals under my desk. What a difference pedals has done for my shark flight :thumbup:

I mean highways, with heavy traffics, birds around the airports (creating some possible havoc when taking off), boats on rivers, and dams that can be destroyed, civil aircraft's, random meteorological weather patterns in the same mission from different areas of the map… Thanks again for an awesome simulator.

Once you touch TrackIr and get use too it. You would never want to go back :D too Mouse or hat switch control...;)

It`s not a question of opening the ports only, but port fowarding. If your network is via a router, have issues hosting? Then, check this link http://portforward.com/routers.htm select your router setting and gaming config, use Lockon settings… 10308 TCP/UDP
