English Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2 Now Available
TheMoose replied to Wags's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I took the bullet and bought the patch. Downloading it now… Hopefully it will surpass my expectation for that price… Regards, -
All good, but what I want as "MANY" want is DX10, the past is the past, go foward...
-
FC2 should be DX10 as a min upgrade? What do you think....Better shadders, better shadows.... ? >At that price? lets push it at 40$ US and give us our dx10?.... That will be worth it... Edit: What`s the Mig29-S specs? >What's the differences? humm, that itself is music to my ears 8) I wish you all the best ED. Cheers

thanks for the merge

FC2 double the price... Humm 15$ to 30$ US. Will it be worth it for only a DX9 upgrade? At that price I would have jumped on a DX10 upgrade at least...Same game after all, with some extras I admit, but 30$ US? It's like 45$ Canadian, the price of an original game... I tought I had the original... actually own 2 copies... I "might" get it, but I'm not convince yet... Don't get me wrong I love ED products, but at that price for only a patch? humm... I'm not going to jump the gun on that one as I usually do. I think I'll wait on the community reactions when it comes out to make my final decision. The expectation are high, if it delivers, then I'll buy... Just my thoughts... Regards

Seing your CPU and GPU. I would try lowering visual range to either medium or low... Also right click on the exec, disable desktop composition and visual theme. That might give you more FPS. Regards -

How can the we (the community) improve gameplay?
TheMoose replied to Grimes's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I personally think that stats might intimidate new users. Since it’s not about the score but joining a team & having fun with friends etc… So my vote is : More interaction -
I for one would like to give Crysis a wearl on it :D Grid, COD4, you name it ;) http://www.gadgettastic.com/2009/06/05/nec-43-inch-curved-lcd-monitor/ Ouff, 8000$ better start eating Kraft diners all the time and drink only water. Ah well, maybe stopping smoking? Nah… I'll have to sell my Jeep

With my GTX280 never had the need so far for nHancer. So no I don't use it.

Thanks, I already knew it. But nevertheless, a good reminder for new comers ;)

Thanks for the link. I was looking forward of re seeing “No Fear”. Probably the best movie I've seen in LO IMO

I do not agree, sounds, as visual is most important for immersion. If you are satisfied with “stereo” then so be it. I’m not…Think of Seven & vista users. Thanks ED, FC2 sound engine upgrade is welcome…

Congratz to him. I wish him all the best.

I apologise for bumbing this one up. But I’m wondering where he is. Anyone seen Loc? “Locsta” All his flics on youtube seem to have been modified. Unable to see his works from its original source… kind of …

Hi, Is there anything I can contribute, any files that ED would want to help in stopping these random crashes to desktop? I was so annoyed on my last flight, when on 104th server, recorded a nice track, went out on a sortie, kills some bandits, just to come home RTB, then just before I land, kaput, crash to desktop…. GRRR:mad: lol :( that is just so frustrating… Would be good if FC would generate error logs as DCS BS does when it crashes. Looking at the jargon file that MS reproduces you can hardly make head or tales with them. Anyhow, let me know. I would gladly share any specific files that you would require to eliminate these things from happening. Regards, Moose (PS: Yes I know Windows 7 64, not fully supported)

Can you see traces of Event ID 4226 in your Event log? Elaborate please? Windows Vista tcpip.sys connection limit patch for Event ID 4226 a default installation, should not be an issue. You could be reaching the builtin conneciton-limiter on your hosting computer. NO disrespect but sounds like fancy talking, can you interpret in English?

I do not recall seing this before and I have a Nvidia 280. What's the OS? I'm on 64bit Seven. Using Nvidia Drivers 191.07, not the latest, since the latest gave me issues... Let us know if Wags trick does the thing... I'm curious. My setting is set to Mix Multi display peformance. AA=8x AF=0

You might want to look into these as well. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=14350&highlight=host+timeout ..Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Config\network\config.lua And Edit this: -- This file was automagically generated. Edit with care. gameTimeout = 30; maxPacketSize = 500; playerName = "PlayerName"; idleTimeout = 120; To: -- This file was automagically generated. Edit with care. gameTimeout = 500; maxPacketSize = 500; playerName = "PlayerName"; idleTimeout = 500; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=10824&highlight=host+timeout Go and change the timeout settings (everyone should do it) It's in Lock On\Config\network\config.lua file change gameTimeout to at least 120 (seconds) ! and IdleTimeout .. should be at least 120 too (I think it's default) don't forget to save the changes Cheers

I would start with verifying you Local Area connection properties. Sometimes, a software base firewall/antivirus might want to try and bind itself with your adapter. It might cause some conflicts. If any is showing in your LAN properties, first disable your internet security software. Recheck the LAN properties, if still present the just uncheck the boxes besides them. If you have a router, then trying isolating the network itself by bypassing the router, just connect directly to the modem. (You can use the windows firewall if you bypass the router for protection) Ensure you have the latest NIC drivers installed. If you can host without any problems without the router, then you have made the process of elimination. Re install your router, check for router firmware upgrades if available. Try port forwarding the 10308 UDP/TCP to the host machine. http://www.portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Lock_On/Lock_Onindex.htm Select your router type and follow the instruction. Hope this helps. Cheers
