Ok thanks you just confirmed that horizontal spam is not accessible via vista due too DRM. But now how to make DCS work with dual monitor with DCS. Can someone provide clear instruction on how too do so? My main center screen is an LCD samsung 24Inch running at 1920x1200 at 60Hz, my 2nd monitor is crt 19 inch on my left running at 1280x1024 at 75Hz Thanks in advance. (starting too hate vista once again, grrrr)

I've been investigating within forums if Vista feature SuperFetch is best for gamers. I'm split in half, seems the community is as well in the decision; some say it’s good, some say enabling is too hard on the hard disk. Some say below 2 gigs, disable it, but above enable it. I tested Crysis without it and it does run flawlessly, was wondering on your input and your experiences. By the way I have 4 gigs under Vista 32 bit Business. Thanks on your input. Cheers

My best bet is never mind the 3 screen setup, go for a 46-52 Inch aqua LCD from Sharp running at 4ms at 120Hz. Never mind about the flaming cliff request. I tried and modified the DSCAff script from one of the members, to reflect lockon.exe. I'm sad to report that I cannot see any differences with lockon. I also tried Task Assigned from http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/bang-dual-processing-buck,815.html No luck…:cry: Unless I'm doing something wrong...

I went from an Nvidia 8800GTS to a 280GTX. Although DCS/LO is more CPU limited. I seen a major improvement overall, especially if you run at high resolution with AA and AF enable. But the advantages are not limited to DCS. Dramatic improvement in games like Crysis and GTA4. If you can spare the money, I would say go for it. I did and I’m very satisfied with my 550$CA video card upgrade. :D But the difference in my case might be more related on the RAM; my 8800GTS only had 320Meg of ram, lol

Question on the new trim implementation in the patch. Hopefully and wondering if this new feature will allow to trim basically, pitch, yaw, but especially rudder undependably from each other? I know I’m a noob when in it comes to heli sim world, but the current status of the Ka-50 is for me a real pain to accurately, efficiently trim this bird in a timely fashion, especially when engaged. Thanks in advance.

Looks good, but it’s too dirty for my taste. I hate seeing anything interfering with my visuals. The only thing missing are bugs squashed against the windshield, lol. I would be tempted to install it if the wiper would be actually functional. On that note, is there any windshield washer on a Ka-50? :D

I’m a huge fan on Xp compared to vista. Stability and such. But I have to admit, under Xp I get an average of 32 FPS in cockpit, 40 outside, about the same with vista, but using the affinity tool, it jumps to an average of 52 FPS (cockpit), outside around 69 FPS with vista. That’s a major difference. One of my other concerned with Vista was the sound bug. But thanks to creative labs of releasing the Creative Alchemy application. That resolved that one as well. I hate vista like the plague, but now… Well, ….:wub: But I still hate other features of vista, aka defrag and any Installation process. Takes forever...:badmood:

Search to get a trackIr 3 with Vector. Might be cheaper then purchasing the latest version (if it's a budget issue). Myself, very satisfied with it. I have to point out that I had awesome support from the natural point team (a major benefit). Was worth every penny. The experience is almost like night & day.

Upcoming patch for Affinity question. Was wondering if it will take in consideration the time delay required to work best when setting the affinity for different CPU for vista? As Well will it take in consideration if you have Dual Core, Quad Core, I7 Cpu? I've search on the forum, but could not find that answer. Thanks

DCS has been released for a while. Where is this LO patch that we have been wishing for many eons? DCS is awesome, but hopefully you won’t forget the fans that supported you all these years…. The AIM120 performance is Awefullllllll & pitiful in LO…. (to name a few). Does Quality of product part of ED dictionary? If so, then please provide us a patch for the money we have spent… LO still has trackIr bugs and all. You might think that I’m just venting. But I think that many of us want action on this. It’s time; We wish, but more I, would like some answers…. Regards,

I re installed vista just of the heck of it of trying the new affinity trick to see. The tweak was impressive. But guess what; The Moose is back on Xp. I have less issues and better performance overall with all other games under Xp. It’s less a resource hog with CPU and Ram. I’m also noticing that lots of PC game developers seemed to be dropping supporting DX10. COD5 & GTA4 to name a few. Although that’s a shame since I love eye candy… But I guess the vista hype has died down :huh: I will wait for my new rig before upgrading OS, by then Windows 7 should be out officially. Until then Xp rules for me.:smilewink: Cheers
