  1. Your right, my rez is lockon is actualy 1680x1050, was a typo :D actualy 1.5 still looks better IMO;)
  2. Would you know the best aspect ratio for HD 16:10? 1.6 seems more for a 16:9... Edit: nevermind actualy seems I was wrong I found this in the archives; http://forums.eagle.ru/archive/index.php?t-16466.html  I will try 1.77777 instead to see I prefer this with my resolution. Edit: Well 1.7777 was worst, was looking through a can of sardines , had to much shrinkage. Seems well for my taste at 1680x1080 or 1920x1200 aspect ratio of 1.5 is much nicer.;)
  3. Seems like leftovers from a previous mod taking precedence. Have you tried uninstalling the mod and reinstalling it? Who knows, sometimes the simplest things are the solution... Cheers
  4. Have you tried installing Reloaded first, then applying the new terrain upgrade?
  5. I thank all of them
  6. Wow, this community has come a long way; Lockon has never looked so great. Thanks Ruggs for your new terrain mod. Actually thanks to all. With this terrain mod, with TekaTeka moon replacement among other awesome mods he made. From Missy complete Mig skins (they totally look awesome) again among other skins she made available. Walmis F15, Tatti’s fuel tank, Sim-Mod crew for bringing this famous A10 among other stuff as well. Too all the talents that provided sound packs modifications. Not forgetting the artwork of other skinners, from the top of my head; Ice, Missy, Rugg, Deadman, lots of others actually. Archer cockpit & sounds among others. The talents of the incredible ADA team, “merci”. Too all that provides dedicated server & awesome missions online. Jiri Fojtasek for providing us the ability (hyperlobby) to join in a common area to fly and chat. Pat, “merci” for one of the greatest tool (Modman). GA and LOC & Rugg, SVK Fox among others for entertaining us with awesome movies. There’s actually too many of talented individuals and other stuff that I’m forgetting. Mentioning them all would take EONS & too much space. But I cannot go without thanking ED for this Sim & the support of the Beta testers. I want thank you all very deeply. Your contribution and your continued efforts, makes me proud to fly lock on skies and being part of this community. You guys totally “Rocked” my world. I had an itch to give my thanks ;) Regards,
  7. Let it be done when its done, in the mean while, try COD4 and Crysis, actualy Crysis 2 should be out very soon, so let the brains of DCS do what they know best . We have been patiently waiting for blackshark for so many years. Patience is vertue. Be patient, it will come… When it does, I suspect you will now be complaining on how hard it is…. My HO… ;)
  8. Thanks that fixed it
  9. Current version of HL New version 3.9.111 anyone knows if Jiri intends to blends his work and make it vista compliant? Don’t get me wrong it works, but via vista, some display issues are apparent by default. I do thank him for his work and allowing us to use his services, allowing us all to join for all these years. For a common goal IMO: Friendship, camaraderie and competition. His work does merit some good attention & praises. Thanks Jiri Fojtasek, you have my respect. As many others. Keep up the good work.
  10. Triggerhappy. You should have a very understandable wife. Keep up the good work. Looking awesome.
  11. I’m very satisfied with the security features of Firefox 3. I feel no need to jump into the Google wagon. I do have concerns on the web security features regarding privacy & exploits, since its new… I will wait and let others take the bait…
  12. Hyperlobby highly recommended http://hyperfighter.sk/ for online play. And Welcome to the community Glen. Cheers
  13. That was my main reason to purchase my GTX 280, very satisfied with Crysis with it. I'm now able to run it at very high on DX10 with 4xAA at high rez. (not perfect, but highly playable) I hate playing games that needs tweaking to juice up the FPS, at the end, always better to get the hardware to cope with your expectations. "budget permitting" And FSX all graphs setting pumped up is now playable as well under DX10 with AA enable... This is why I'm in no hurry to upgrade my CPU :D I satisfied my craving for need for speed... Well for a couple of month at least;)
  14. Thanks Hitman on sharing your MPEG issue, I would hate this happening to me too. Guess Intel chipset will remain. Thanks guys:D
  15. Good article :book:, thanks:thumbup: How to tell if my cpu is B3 stepping or G0? EDIT  Never mind I found the how at tomhardware forum http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/248344-28-q6600-stepping :D Looks I have B3 , not surprising since I bought it shortly after it came out. That would explain the extra heat... I'm not in a hurry to upgrade the CPU, I'm still satisfied with my performance overall, even with stock Ghz of my Q6600, but when I do, I will be upgrading to a motherboard that offers PCI express V2 to exploit even more my video card. Any suggestion on the chipset, should I switch to Nforce or stick with an Intel chipset?
  16. I tried tonight to OC my Q6600 setting the FSB from default 266 to 306 yielding average 2.7G instead of 2.4G. Besides this I manually set my ram to manufacturer specs Mushkin 4-5-4-11 2.1V instead of the default one it had. It’s stable, but the gain in GHz at the cost of the heat generated, humm... 5 to 7 Celsius more then usual. It does not yield much better results in FPS maybe a 3% gain in FPS, but I think that’s due to the heat factor, slowing it down. The gain is not worth it for my rig. True I’m still using default Intel heat sink. I’m considering upgrading my CPU as soon as my new video card is paid off.;)
  17. My apologies if this question was asked previously, but this thread is long and the search feature never revealed the details I’m looking for. I have a quick question seeing the Producers note. I’m seeing some jagged edge even on the high quality movie, was wondering if AA (antialiasing) will be supported as a feature for DCS? And what about AF (anisotropic filtering)? Does DCS has plans to offer EAX support for surround sounds quality? Hopefully in a near future, yes?
  18. Well I started to love flight sims with F117 stealth fighter from Microprose. I actually still have it on backup on floppy lol. Previous to that, I touch a flight sim at school on a hercule monochrome, I don’t recall the name thought, that’s too far back, but I had fun with it. Ahhh Memories, lol. But Lockon was the one that regain my attention for this type of game. I remember seeing the screenshots, which I thought and still think they where amazing for its time, especially the water effects. Even if my PC at the time was not able to push that type of graphics. And forget about the mirrors lol. That was a major FPS hog, still is, but at least now I have the hardware to cope with it. :D
  19. FYI, I tried to replicate the cloud bug with the version of Nvidia 177.92. I’m glad to report that I was no longer able to replicate it. It seems to have been fixed with that version. As for the shadows, well that’s seems to be a DX version compatibility issue, it remains unfortunately.
  20. I’m still wondering on how you can apply such mission. You’re even restricting more missiles that’s built in within Lo-Mac…How would you manage the restrictions? As far as I know you can’t… Unless the session is private, publicly you’re screwed. (pardon my French) But I’m curious on how you would accomplish such session…
  21. Best advice I can say for this issue, try and force settings AA and AF, from 4X or 8X if required, seems that fixed the issue with my previous 8800GTS. I admit it's a weird bug...
  22. Are you tired as I, re installing your OS? Re installing all the updates, all the extras trimmings, like winwar, Outlook, etc? you get the picture... A clean install from Xp takes me around 2 hours with all the trimmings, for vista well, since my dvd does not include service pack 1, then it takes around 4 hours to get all this crap running as I want. A buddy at work told me about Acronis, ( www.acronis.com ) a backup image utility, man what a dream this tool is. I tried different other image utility software, but this one for me was the cream. User friendly, you can easily set your image size to sequential, DVD, regular CD, backup a whole partition if required. Once I got my OS running up to par with my hardware, I imaged it, does not take that long actually, but once it’s done, switching images or restoring it is so freaking easy, takes 5 minutes tops on my system. Anyhow I give it 2 thumbs up. If had more thumbs well… lol :clap_2: As they say: time is money, I no longer can live without imaging software. You guys use any imaging software?
  23. So far all is fine for Lockon, all smooth. But heck with this GTX 280 card, all is smooth anyhow, lol :D
  24. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_177.92_beta.html Fresh from yesterday , will test them out, it has the physx driver built in. Cheers
  25. I'm less concern about the display, then the integrity of the database. It looks just fine for me.
