  1. Ah I see what you mean now. Yeah you might be right. But even so, I don't think this gain would be anywhere near close to offsetting the performance loss you will have by having two processes running doing much of the same stuff, except for 3d rendering.
  2. Only if you host the server on a separate computer.
  3. I agree with Rudel. I'd suggest just remove account requirement all together for dedicated servers. Why do we need an account even, to host a server? Strange way to go with this imo.
  4. I think not. I think your performance will be much worse off running both server and client on the same machine as opposed to just hosting a regular server.
  5. I wonder if the Hoggit Georgia at War server has been this dedicated server then? It has had intermittent crazy rubberbanding/lag issues in the past couple of weeks.
  6. Good news that there's finally an official dedicated server option. But, as I understand it, this really isn't something new? Whats new is the webgui control interface. We already had a "render3d = false" option (not sure if it worked in 2.5). And to be honest, I don't get why you make it unnecessarily difficult, still requiring an account to host. Easy is the key. I think you should just make available a completely free "full package everything included" dedicated server package download that is not "playable". This will only benefit the community. To actually play you would still need a purchased client.
  7. For the love of god. This.
  8. You're sure that labels haven't been turned off in the mission you are testing with?
  9. Hey Cowboy, you remembered to put your hook down right? :music_whistling::megalol:
  10. I think the Updater is the only way really. EDIT: If you have a spare laptop you could bring that laptop your office, install DCS on it with the same modules as your primary gaming computer. Then when you get home, copy the DCS World folder from the laptop to your gaming computer and overwriting files. This is off course if your company allows torrent traffic on their network. EDIT2: As you might have seen. The update is postponed until Friday. Here's to hoping your home internet works by then :)
  11. The sequence button cycles waypoint sequences. Sounds like (by your desciption) you might be in SEQ2. You have to press the sequence button several times to take you back to SEQ1.
  12. So far, what the HMCS (Helmet Mounted Cueing System) does is just that it lets you lock up AIM-9's to bandits in a dogfight. I'm unsure if it will do more later on. Maybe someone else knows.
  13. Yes. Once in the air, the Communications Menu is not accessible. You have to use the controls mapped to radio pushbuttons. I don't remember their exact names in the controls, but they should be found in the HOTAS section for the Hornet if I remember correctly.
  14. Yes, it's a bug.
  15. It displays the cross, yes. But the radar is still active, as in still showing moving contacts on the radar. Don't know if it triggers spikes in other aircraft.
  16. This should be moved to wishlist.
  17. I think he wants to shrink the elements displayed on the reflector glass for a better fit with his current viewport. Not alter the overall FOV. It's possible that there's a solution, but I don't know it. It will definitely involve LUA editing and it might prove very challenging if at all possible.
  18. Huh mine doesnt do that, at least not MAVF's. They remain on target. EDIT: My bad. Mine goes boresight also... I remembered wrong.
  19. Anyone else had it happen that on mission success and RTB, the second element of the player flight thinks it's a good idea to land in pairs on the boat? :megalol:
  20. I don't think there's wind correction... In one of my missions that have a good 20kt wind, even MK151HE rockets often miss by at least 100ft if flying crosswind on the attack run, firing on the cue.
  21. One would think, but the statement is probably referencing "the future" as release date. Then yes, we are one day closer to the future every day I guess.
  22. Also, for the love of god, add sorting on "Most downloads" and "Highest Voted. :) That data is already there on each file!!!
  23. Yeah. That's going to happen many more times until final release. I bet their focus is on development progress on the module first hand and updating training / single missions when they have time, up until then.
  24. Looks like you haven't set your fuses right (that you have to do since 2 updates ago to the OB) You now have to set the EFUZ to INST, thats probably what you're missing.
  25. Yeah I know, I was just pointing out the lack of this option. Would be good to have in there, especially for those that want to set up a patrol quick and easy without having to resort to scripting.
