  1. I'd like to set up a movement loop with the Stennis, so I thought I'd set starting pos close to wpt1, and wpt 1, wpt 2, wpt3 and wpt 4 in a square and set "perform command"->"switch waypoint->"waypoint 1" on wpt 4. But this command is missing with the Stennis (all boats?).

  8. I have a question about this original script. Once an aircraft is detected and a ground group is set to weapons free, does the script eventually revert this state, so the element of surprise can be used again?
  9. Possibly you're talking about the Flight Director (FD AP) mode. Button is located next to the the AP Channel buttons.

Also, another tip, while it is said to only really be used for emergencies, enabling the flight director mode, labled "FD AP" on the AP button panel, will have the KA-50 behave more like a "traditional" helicopter. In this mode, you need not "Hold" the trimmer like described above, but "clicked" just like in the Huey. I always use this mode after engagement for quick and easy egress. Essentially what this mode does is disabling the heading/pitch hold of the AP but keeping the "damping" of inputs.
  11. I have a suggestion of improvement on this user mark flight plan cartridge function. When using the ATTACK user mark autogen, you get the QFE in the kneeboard page for that cartridge. When using the B1, B2, M3, B4 method (which is much better as it lets you place B1/B2 over known landmarks for fix update) it would be nice if you get the QFE also for at least the M3 one.
  12. This is my #1 wish aswell. A DC of some sort. The sense of accomplishment and purpose as a cog in a full scale ongoing war is simply unbeatable in my opinion. But I can appreciate that DCS was not built around this to begin with why I think it will still be a long time (if ever) we'll see a DC like the one in Falcon. Just look at MBots Dynamic Campaign and what happens with performance in game in larger campaigns with many units. I think they would have to somehow entirely redesign how the engine handles active units, as in units that are far enough away from the player are "simplified in memory" and not really a "fully active" unit, and only when the player is close enough the "real" unit is spawned in... I don't know, my ramblings...Anyway I ain't holding my breath. The only thing fresh (for me) content/mission wise is the several dynamic online missions like GAW or Blue Flag that has a feeling of dynamic campaign. And I feel for those putting so much time and effort into these missions knowing that DCS's scripting engine is temperamental at best and different things break and change every update.
  13. Hey Fishes. Is it possible to add a tree removal around each A2G Mission area? It's impossible to hit anything in a forest due to tree collisions.
  14. +1 cant wait for this. Just got the Harrier on the Winter Sale and the lack of interactive training missions are a downer. Easiest way to learn by far. But also understand that the module basically needs to be at least feature complete before training missions could be released, unless you donw mind reworking the missions every update...

  17. I have that "feeling" aswell. I know I've ran into problems several times when playing old mission/campaign content. However, in the name of fixing it, someone must report the specific broken missions/content for it to be fixed.

  19. Everyone wants the latest new features and fixes as soon as possible simple as that. You don't need two installs. You can switch back and forth between stable and open beta easily using command line options with DCS_updater.exe, or a GUI that someone wrote.
  20. Yes, I agree. It would be cool if they could revamp the AI logic regarding this. You would expect that fighters that are intercepting you, will do just that. And if you disappear, that they will go into a "search mode" of sorts and while in this mode, basically continue their interception to the interception point calculated from last contact. If they haven't seen you by then, they should disengage and continue their waypoints/CAP orbit or whatever.

  22. You can set the "engage radius" option on AI groups on certain main tasks. But there's no setting that is dynamic like what you ask for. Once AWACS has seen you and you are within engage radius, they will engage you. And they will continue to "magically" find you even if you dive behind mountains at this point.
  23. I had this issue many many times also in previous versions (I'm now on latest OB). Also several times in A2A mode. Today I experienced it in A2A mode. Went in for an easy helicopter kill. Radar locked on to the helicopter in GUN AAQ mode, and the rounds ended up wayyyy above the locked helicopter pipper. Rage quit. 10/10 will rage quit again in next OB if not fixed.
