Hi @currenthill , I jump in about this, i performed some testing and i need to update this problem of "guidance".... I never experienced a tracking problem, but some weird tracking....example, multiple missiles are fired at a ship from different sites ( @dimabzz make this if you want more missile on one target), ship is defending well but at some time some missiles passing through and the ship is sunk....but more missiles at still flying toward that ship but instead of trying to find a another target they are all trying to reach the sunk ship...all missiles went in water ???? why ??? finding another target, no....auto destruction, no.... -

HI @currenthill I have a question regarding the SM6 missile and the whole air defense system from the naval assets in the USA Pack. Yesterday I performed a flight (Su27) in a dense mission involving numerous naval US ships in 1 group (3 DDG, 2 CG, 2 FFG, 1 LHA and 1 LCC) attacking ground target with Tomahawks at around 180 km. Defenders are 4 groups of BASTION P launchers and multiple SAM sites. first of all, 2 DDG are firing all the tomahawks they are tasked to fire and 1 DDG is firing a 1 SM6 at me at around 160 km, no RWR alert...ok modern missile in TWS... benefit from allied EWR i aware of a missile in my direction. I dive to very low level (aroud 50 ft) and change direction but the missile is still heading towards me. no missile lock (on RWR) so the missile is directed by the ship. I'm below the radar horizon of the ship but he is still able to track me...i'm finally diving to below 10 meter and now it seems that the ship/missile is blind or maybe just out of energy....I think the ship capacity are a little overpowered... Secondly a lot of anti ship missiles are coming towards the US fleet, but they are unable to defeat the incoming attack and a lot of ships are sunk, a another anti ship strike arrived, but this time it remain only three fighting ships (1 DDG and 2 FFG) and this time the DDG is defeating almost all the incoming strike....strange... maybe a DCS logic bug... I think the same would applied to the Bastion P asset regarding the engaging distance in my mission, being able to engage ships at about 180km at sea level seems to me impossible Tacview-20240130-010237-DCS-Test_HDS_2.zip.acmi calc-radar-horizon-f11.svg -

HI, Conflict with an old iranian asset from CH which you forgot to delete...or with another mod...try removing all mods and restarting DCS with one mod after one another... -

Hi @SkipperSMG You're right about curvature of earth, it is simulated in DCS, you will also have to take into account that there are ECM, and the size of the target, so aircraft needs to be close by the SAM site to be engaged. And for your information the maximum range of the missile correspond to the maximum distance which the missile may able to reach on a non evasive target flying at maximum speed straight toward the SAM site at the maximum altitude. knowing that, AI is waiting to shoot at a distance that it is sure to destroy the target. Hi everyone, I'm not the author of this mod, i did an updated version of their work (merged with the "S300 pack" mod) which was functional after last DCS updates...because they (the authors) didn't, and i don't know if they are still working on it or not... I wish they are. That's why i wasn't ready with the idea of releasing my version on their topic. I asked them here about it....but no answer... It seems that there are a lot of people interested in that mod. HI, Mods are a chance for a game, they are made to add things missing to DCS, because DEV don't have time to create all we all want now, so they are focusing on AIR assets (DCS is a flight simulateur at first). There are lots of mods for DCS (I have 120 mods installed in my "mods" folder, 23 in "aircraft" folder and 97 in "tech" folder, and they are all working fine), you may find bugs, missing textures or files, scripting errors within them....but that's the way it works, it's free...you may also notice that DCS is "OPEN BETA"...so there are also bugs inside DCS. ED Team and mod coders are working to erase therm, but it takes time. You were talking about Civilian aircraft, there is a mod to spawn lots of different civilian aircraft into DCS. HI @Insonia You were right, it was mod related...I forgot two version of the same mod in the mod/aircraft folder....i'm a little confuse because the last time I let two version of the same mod in the mod's folder (tech), i was unable the launch the game...the game had crashed just after i logged in.....Strange behavior. Now the game is running fine, thanks.

Hi, I've got a problem with DCS newly, i can launch the game, looking at aircraft/vehicule/structures in the encyclopedy, but when loading / starting / a mission via the mission editor the game freezes without errors... I tried Caucasus, mariana and syria map with the same result I have the latest version of DCS OB, drivers are up to date, I know that i have a lot of mods, but the problem has started without any change in them or DCS....the only thing that was updated was some "windows" apps... I performed a slow repair without sucess, i will try to deactivate my numerous mods also...and keep you aware about the results here's my DCS log if someone can find a clue and some screenshoots about the freeze and windows update. dcs.log

What is the problem ? Are you still using the Su30MK_SFM v2.1.12b with the Su-30 (V2.7.3b)? if yes, that's the problem... I'm still using the last version of the Su30 mod with the latest version of currenthill mod (russian pack)....without problems...

Hi @ItsIsaac FYI there is existing mods that would provide you the S-400 (not the S-500 for the moment...lack of information from russian sources...) and a variety of S-300 series ( S300MPU1 / S300MPU2 / S300VM / S300V4), an updated version of the BUK (SA17), updated version of SA2-HQ2, Manpads (SA-24), Pantsir-SM, Polyana, Gazetchik....in two different mods: - HDS mod v2.0.1 and the S300 pack (v0.2) from @LetMePickThat and @Auranis There were compatibility problem between the two mods, but i can provide you a link to a merged version of the two mods that works. -

HI @LetMePickThat, @Auranis and @ERO I updated recently the HDS mod to v2.0.1 and experimanted some DCS crash at launch. I found that the S300 pack (v0.2) was the reason of the crash....without it no problem...but a problem for me...i love these mods. I can't create a mission without it. So, I decided to find the problem and merged the two mods into one and deactivate the S300 pack part of the mod. Restoring one part of the mod after one another. And bingo, the problem came from the S400, and precisely from the "sensor.lua" file where two radars were refering to the same name (gravestone).... Now I have one Mod with S400 / S300MPU1 / S300MPU2 / S300VM / S300V4 / BUK / SA2-HQ2 / Manpads / Pantsir-SM / Polyana / Gazetchik working as intended, I also updated some of the textures. i don't know if you are currently working on it but I wanted the share the bugs i've encountered and what i've done to correct it with you (the creators). i don't know if this "build" could interest you or some others users of your mods. I can share it if requested (1GO) -
It's the "SAMPack_S-300_Series" (v0.4) that I used with HDS Mod (v1.4.2). A few weeks ago it was necessary to update the mod (SAMPack) because of DCS and HDS update (1.4.3), I desactivated the few SAM site that were in the two mods and all was fine.... I found a newer version of HDS (2.0) and installed it and this time DCS is crashing at launch So i found that it was the SAMPack mod that crash DCS and now i'm searching to find what is causing the crash in that mod. but with no luck at the moment.... ------------------------ I merged the 2 mods in one single and performed some testing by launching DCS after reactivating one after another the SAMs from the "SAMPack S300" mod.... (S300V / S300VM / S300PMU2 were already in HDS Mod) PantSIR OK S300V4 OK S400 FAIL.....so the problem seems to be in this part of the mod... ------------------------- Ok, I found the problem, it was in the "Sensor.lua" file, two radar declaring the same name.....I changed one of the two...now it works....

I tried to make an old mod to be working with the last OB but DCS was still crashing Some one knows what it means when you've got that kind of message in DCS log: 2023-11-26 00:56:12.292 ALERT Dispatcher (Main): Error running db_scan: ?:0: attempt to concatenate a nil value 2023-11-26 00:56:12.292 INFO APP (Main): application shutdown 2023-11-26 00:56:12.309 WARNING EDOBJECTS (Main): lTypeObjectManager::Create() doesn't exist. What is it referring to ? what part of the mod is wrong or not correct for the last OB ? -

There are some incompatibilities between the S300 Pack and the last update of the HDS pack. My DCS game was unable to start, i had to modify some files of the S300 Pack to keep the best of the two mods. -

Hi CurrentHill, I have no doubts that your mods are working well on your computer, but for some people like me, that's not the case. Maybe because i use a lot of different mods...some of yours and some of Admiral189 or hawkeye60 and much more...maybe too much...for that reason all my missions are corrupted. For example, i tried to create a simple mission with the Mi24, taking off from a pad with some tanks and armored vehicule to protect it, a small navigation with some infantrys and humvees as targets...two fleets with modded ships and standard ships. Result.....no ships in game, only one anti aircraft vehicule in the group whose was protecting the pad (1 of 7) and only 2 infantry (JTAC and JTAC commander) in the enemy group (1 of 10).... That's strange, because i though only modded assets would be affected by the update, but no, DCS assets are affected also....or maybe affected by modded assets. Seems that your mod "PGL-625" was the cause of all my troubles
